Alfred---Lloyd

"...elite." Oh, he could remember all right. It just took a moment to collect everything together and when it snapped in place his eyes widened and alarm flashed across his face as he bolted up.
"The guilds!"
The sudden motion shredded the bandages that were tight around his chest and a shockwave of pain lanced up his chest, ripping a scream from his throat. The Gardevoir dropped back to his side, arms wrapped around his chest in a fetal position as wave after wave of agony surged through his system.
Hed never felt such pain! No, not even when he'd nearly been burned alive. It was nothing compared to his, like he was being torn in half.
The pain brought on the realization that Suecra was gone too and his mind recoiled at the sudden empty void the God of Destruction had left behind.
He couldn't think, couldn't focus.

Tolin

Tolin winced at the sudden scream, his hopes having been betrayed. The drugs weren't only insufficient to keep him asleep, they were barely even affecting him. The drip must have been cut at some point.

At the very least, his mind was definitely still there. How much of it was left in tact was difficult to say, but it was still there. They wouldn't be able to find out whether or not he was sane until after they had managed to deal with Arceus. They couldn't take him off the drugs for a long time with a wound like that, and there was no telling whether the wreck lying on the bed was just the initial recoil from shock or if it was something permanent.

But he was still there. Tolin bent over as best he could and spoke quietly into the Gardevoir's ear the moment the scream had ended. "It's fine, Alfred. It's alright. The guilds are safe. We've saved them. Everything is alright, just try to relax." He cloaked his scythes in a sheath of psychic energy and very gently stroked Alfred's head. The Gardevoir needed something comfort. He needed something stable to hold himself to. Tolin would be there to do that.

Alfred---Lloyd

"...s-safe?...that's good...It was so stupid..."
The relief that the guilds were still standing was quickly diminished with the thought that this didn't have to happen.
They'd been stupid to assume the Elite would wait, would let them move at their liesure. He didn't know why they had acted, but it didn't matter now. It was too late to go back and be cautious.
He kept his head ducked, arms not moving from their defensive fold over his upper torso. It was hard to focus with the steady flow of pain moving over his chest.
Luckily Lloyd got back to the room, having heard the commotion, a frown was on the Weavile's face as he immediately assume Tolin to be at fault here.
"Dammit, I can't leave for five seconds!" He held up a syringe and shook his head. "Sorry, kid. You're going back under."
In any normal circumstances Alfred would have argued, but being asleep seemed like a God send compared to this kind of agony.
Lloyd didn't wait for any response as he reached past Tolin to stick the Psychic in his arm with the needle.
"That'll kick in in about fifteen minutes. Just deal with it til then..." Seeing no other reason for him to be present, considering he wasn't needed anymore, Lloyd gave Tolin a glare before stalking out.

Fifteen minutes, huh? That's how long he had, both as a friend and as an employee. "No, it's fine." He spoke slowly, trying his best to soothe the Gardevoir. "We're fine. Lots were injured, but very few died. The disc you gave to Tempest is safe. I'm organizing the guilds right now. Ivan is willing to help. I'm going to lead our allies onward and we'll be fine. We know how to deal with them. But I need you to try and remember something, it's important."

Business always was. "You set a password when you put the mind plate away. What was it? Orion is willing to help us so he can get at Darkrai, but he needs the plate." Well, it was beyond Tolin why he needed that one specifically. True, the Mind Plate was much stronger for him, but the "need" stressed some kind of specific importance. Well, not that it mattered in the long run... He might just be losing his mind.

Alfred

Ah, hold on. What was Tolin saying? His focus was shifting again, but the second the drugs kicked in the pain receeded and he could think a bit more clearly.
The guilds were safe, they'd be fine. There was still a chance to win this.
That's all that mattered, that's all he cared about.
He didn't even question why Orion was involved, or why he wanted the plate. Tolin knew what he was doing.
"Password...?" Though, now that he thought about it...what was it again? He knew he knew it.
"Ah..." The Gardevoir lapsed off, drowsy now, and finally muttered out a quick "Ouroboros..." before passing out again.

Not nearly fifteen minutes, then. Talking longer would have been nice, but, letting Alfred drift off... was for the best. It must be terribly painful to be awake. Painful beyond imagination. There was something else Tolin needed to know, but he had a second plan for that. It wasn't guaranteed to work, but it stood a fair chance. It would probably be the safest gamble he had made all month.

He pulled his scythe away and took a few steps down before sitting back into the chair. "Sleep well, Alfred. By the time you wake up, this will all be over. There will be no more talk of gods or the balance. You will be the simple Gardevoir you thought you were, without the dangers of your blood. I'll fix it."

Tolin closed his eyes for a minute, embracing the sense of comfort he felt from the new knowledge. There was still something of Alfred left to save.

And after that minute expired, it was back to business. A mental message, sent to Desmond. The Lugia was soaring high, high above the city, circling the guild as if he were a mother protecting a nest. Desmond. We have business to attend to, I'll meet you in half an hour.

Sonata, having been recovered from the ruins of her guild only days earlier, found herself "resting" in the Kingdom of Eclipse's hospital which was gracious enough to take in all the injured which seemed to flood in from every possible source all at once. A mass attack having been brought upon the guilds, it was entirely understandable that the Absol wasn't doing as much "resting" as her doctors intended; a cloud of worry hovering over her head with no signs of retreating. Being a high ranked member for her own guild, it was reasonable for her to be weighed down by guilt at this point. Too many lost their lives on her watch. She felt as if she could have done so much more, the conservation of her own life not really mattering much at the moment as she thought back to the attack somberly. Letting out a sigh the Absol achingly turned over in her gurney only to find herself face to face with yet another grave reminder of that horrid day. Only feet away, sharing a room in the cramped hospital, was her teammate Kenna... At the moment, when she needed comfort most, she would have given anything to have someone other than her for a roommate. Not that she disliked the fiery dog, in fact she didn't truly dislike anyone; it was just she felt the slightest bit of hostility from her. What really was there left to loose though? She thought to herself, giving a moment of mental preparation before she dared start conversation with the also injured canine.

Kenna

Kenna lifted her head in silence, hearing the Absol on the next bed over begin to stir. The pair had been awake for some time now, though she supposed to say that Sonata had been awake as well would be assuming a lot. They never really got along, mainly because of differences in opinion.
The Ninetails glanced over at Sonata, flattening her charcoal ears. She looked a lot different, without all of the usual accessories. The hospital had cleaned the temporary dye in her tail, and removed what remained of the bright orange bandages around her limbs. Even the necklace; a tiny, frosted glass skull bound by a satin, tangerine ribbon, was missing. The nurses had told her time and time again that she hadn't been wearing one when she arrived, but she still felt saddened by the missing weight around her neck. It had been a gift from her partner, Nikolas...
"They never found it, you know. My necklace." The fox Pokemon's voice was a little too quiet, though it was still spiked with pain. She felt awkward for saying anything, but... she felt so alone. Even Sonata's company was welcome, at this point.
She felt a flash of pain in her side, and flopped her head back down onto her pillow. Her injuries had been severe when she'd arrived, but they were slowly healing over... very... slowly....

"I-I'm sorry."
Sonata was shocked to hear conversation initiated by her roommate just as she was about to speak herself. Having nothing else she was able to say in responce, she simply apologied on behalf of whatever force misplaced Kenna's necklace despite the obviousness that it was not the Absol herself.
A moment of silence lapsed on from here before a slight groan of pain preceeded Sonata's change in topic.
"I wonder if Frost is alright..."
Their guildmaster seemed a little more important than matieral items at the moment, granted a nurse did come in however many days ago thankfully informing the two that he was alive. Since he was not able to make the visit himself, the Absol could only fear the worst of his non-fatal injuries. Just thinking of the possible dangers her guildmaster could be in still caused her to figit in bed, only ending with more pain for herself as it seemed impossible to lay in a way that didn't put pressure on any bandaged areas.

Kenna

Kenna looked away as the Absol changed the topic. That necklace wasn't just a possession; it was important. Then again, she couldn't expect Sonata to understand. It wasn't her fault; she just... didn't know.
Still, the anger swirled inside her, unchecked and unrestrained.
"I'm sure he's fine, Sonata." She muttered back, her voice quiet. "Even when he was a Growlithe, he could take a lot of abuse. I should know; I was his sparring partner for the longest time." The Ninetails huffed in a sort of dark amusement at the thought. Back then, Frost couldn't even win a fight. Now, he could throw, pin, or flip her upside-down and backwards.
She winced as she shifted again, trying to find a comfortable way to lie in on the thin, hospital mattress. She wished Nikolas was there, but... he was the fittest of their Guild's main team. Someone had to be there for their guild.

Sonata almost felt as if it were being rubbed in her face that Kenna had been acquainted with Frost better than she had in the past. As far as her position went to the once Growlithe, she was practically hired help by the guild as his nanny of sorts. Obviously she hadn't done her job quite as satisfactory as intended though, Frost having ended up training abroad for quite the while in which time she also rose through the ranks on her own team.
"I don't think any guildmaster would be "fine" after seeing his pride and joy crushed before him..."
She felt the need to remark back. Even if Frost was physically alright after that whole ordeal, there was sure some mental trauma to be held. She wasn't even in his position and yet the Absol herself felt a tremendous amount of guild over all that happened.

Kenna

Kenna bristled at the reprimand. "How do you know what he feels? You don't look like Frost, to me!" She snapped back, growling deep in her throat.
"He's better than that! His people are his guild, not the building he stands in!" She continued, already on edge after several days of strict silence between herself and Sonata, and no one else but the nurses to talk to. "You don't know anything about him! You never did, and you never will! You're haven't changed an ounce!" The Ninetails added in a low, dangerous hiss. She'd had enough of the Pokemon beside her, and her already fiery temper wasn't helping. She made Darkrai himself look like a softie.

Sonata cringed as word after sharp word pushed down upon her like knives. She would have turned away if she could but the combination of her physical pain with the verbal wounds efficiently tied her to the already harsh mattress, frozen in place as she stared blankly off into the distance. Trying her best to keep tears welled up in her eyes and not overflowing, the Absol couldn't even find the words to formulate speech at the moment. The truth behind everything that was just shot at her sinking in with each moment.
"Y-y-you're right..."
Her voice was hoarse compared to her normal melodic tone as sorrowful sobs were held back.
"Y-you're much better for him anyway. You know him..."
That's what this was all about right? Going on nothing but a strong hunch the Absol muttered out, opening up a whole new jar of worms...

Kenna

Kenna growled to herself, flattening her ears as the Absol's voice began to crack. A mixture of guilt and fury broiled inside of her. It was as bad as that stupid Manetric; would she snap, too, to laugh at her if she moved to apologize? She didn't want to find out.
"You know what?! Just... just.... NEVERMIND!" The Ninetails almost yelled, rising from the mattress, and leaping to the floor, her fur bristling, and an audible yelp of pain escaping her throat.
Her injuries weren't yet healed, not enough to travel safely, according to the nurses, who were probably rushing over to find out why Kenna's heart monitor had just gone dead.
"Stop assuming things! You can have the stupid Arcanine! I don't need anyone!"
She glared at the floor and stormed off toward the door. She'd had enough.

Jean-Claude---&---Siggy

The sound of shattering glass resonated through the hospital lobby.
Standing there holding a half-dead Lopunny was Siggy.
He was panting, and glass shards were sticking out of his body.
The idiot hadn't realized there were glass automatic doors and had run right through them.
"Yo, can I get a nurse here or something?!"
