And with that last statement, Elmira's train of though derailed and careened down a hill and into a lake. Again Elmira was left standing there, staring at him with a blush that was now free for all the world to see, and stuttering out some form of a reply. The fact that she was being incoherent in front of him only made her blush harder. She shook her head sharply, then drew a deep breath. Looked at him. Blushed again. Then exhaled and looked down at the mirror. .....her eyes looked prettier with darker hair... She shook her head again and looked up at him. "....I swear I'm not usually this much of a stutterer." she replied finally, giving him an awkward grin. "Thank you...I'm...really not used to this kind of...attention. At all."

Zander just gave Elmira another grin and moved back over to her, gently taking one of her hands and kissing her fingers delicately. Like a goddamn gentleman.
"And I'm not used to giving it. The girls my age that I know don't much care for my charms, y'know. And I look at you and I see a girl that needs attention. So, being a decent human being, I'd like to give it."
Inside, though, he felt his heart racing as the age-old thought any sixteen-year-old boy would have at this point in time ("Oh man I might get a girlfriend!") was at the forefront of his mind.

By this point, Elmira's cheeks were turning about as red as her hair. "I....I....uh..." was all she could manage to say back. This was unbelievable. She was half freaked out when she got here...half annoyed that she was in another situation she couldn't get herself out of. And now... heh... magical green-eyed gentleman fell through the ceiling and was hitting on her. This was hitting on her right? Jeeze she's never been in this kind of a situation before. Crap! Well....uh...what would a slightly older, more mature girl say in a situation like this? ....beats the hell outta' her.... "Well..." she said, after clearing her throat again. ... you're more than welcome to give it. As...long as you can forgive anything foolish I might do in response to the attention. Idiotic stuttering and beat red face being the main things..."Oh yeah. Smooth. Way to go.

Zander just chuckled a bit. "Aw, I figure I can overlook all that," he said. "You seem like a really nice girl. Not like the girls I know. So I figure we can get along pretty well once you get used to me. But I find these reactions cute."
He waved his wand and the mirror disappeared. "Would you like to keep that outfit on, or turn it into something else? Or take that one and save it for later and give you a new set of clothes at the same time. I can do that y'know," he said, and he had a little smile on his face.

Elmira smiled some. She was fine with what she had on right now, she was used to dresses and "fancy" clothes. But...she was rather curious... "Whatever you'd like to do. I'm fine with the dress. But...I do like watching you preform your magic..." she replied.

"To be honest, I quite like it too. Both the dress and you being my audience," Zander, said, and he hooked his arm with hers as he continued on. "Wouldn't exactly want to dirty that lovely thing, would we?" he asked, looking at her with a small wink, and he magicked her into the air so he'd carry her bridal-style.
Man, am I on fire or what? he thought to himself.

Elmira blushed once more as he hit on her again. She seriously wasn't used to being treated like this. She was used to people looking at her like she was just a kid, or crazy, or too freckley. Not used to being hit on. Or... walking arm and arm. Or.... ....being carried... ....in a guy's arms.... ....this close to them... Elmira didn't say anything. She was at an absolute loss for words. The blush on her face threatened to be as dark as her hair, and she just stared into his green eyes.

Zander just smirked. "Y'know, if I'm being too forward, just say so," he said as he walked, carrying Elmira in his arms. "Sorry if I am, by the way. I'm just... Seriously enjoying the fact that I'm out of the Hidden City and all. Seriously, I feel like doing a song-and-dance routine! I don't have to listen to any of my peers criticizing me or comparing me to my father or my ancestors now. It's... It's great!"

Elmira just looked at him for another silent beat. The picking her up and carrying her thing was a bit....much. But...she really didn't know if she wanted to tell him to stop or not. She didn't want to risk this being the only time she'd ever be carried like this or anything. When he switched to a subject other than her, she relaxed a bit. "I can understand that. Well...probably not to your extent...but being criticized. My sister is becoming a lawyer in Harvard. My parents both come from wealthy social families...and they're in the legal field. I'm not as pretty as my sister, or as smart. I have no plans to become a lawyer, and as far as they all know, I have mental problems." Elmira replied.

Zander nodded a bit. "Yeah, I figure I can relate to that, sort of. Granted, in a society where everyone learns how to do magic, there's not much in the way of real occupations. Duel masters, clairvoyants, the people in charge of teaching and regulating what kids do and setting up ward spells to keep us hidden... Dad was wanting me to get into dueling and become a teacher there. Mom wanted me to become an occult detective to fight off supernatural threats to the city. Me, I'm more interested in doing what my ancestors did and do this stuff for entertainment. But that's kid's stuff, they all say."
He rounded a corner and gently let Elmira down. "So, you can see stuff with your mind, right? D'you know anything we can do here?" he asked, making his top hat disappear from his head and smoothing his wavy locks a bit.

Elmira watched him run his fingers through his long dark hair before responding. "Y-yeah. I can see things that have happened, are happening, and sometimes will happen." she said, then glanced around with a frown. "And...I think I can look for things for us to do."She paused for a beat, and looked around the room. As she did so, her eyes began to change colors. The green of her eyes began to expand, and turned a much lighter green. On the verge of becoming a green-gray color. As she looked around hall, at each doorway, to the ceiling, and on the floor, she frowned. Soon her eyes turned to their normal color and she looked back towards Zander. 'I...I don't know. It's weird. I'm not sure there's anything we can get into here that's...um....safe. Some things look like balls of energy...some things have people holding them. And other things...." she said, then paused for a beat. "Well...we turned into a cat touching one, fell into another world touching another..." she said.

Zander nodded slowly. "Gotcha..." he said. "Well, I don't much feel like being turned into an animal, so how's about we go outside? Figure you'll need a change of wardrobe though, since I doubt you'd look normal going around in a pretty yellow dress like that. So..."
He pointed his wand at her again, and in another swirl of light she was wearing what he approximated to be standard 21st Century clothing; a yellow t-shirt, khaki slacks, and sneakers.
"So, I bet I can teleport us outside. Whaddaya say? I won't let you get hurt or anything, I promise."

Elmira gave herself a look over before replying to Zander. She had to admit...she liked the sudden change in style. No half-hour getting changed or ready or anything. When she looked back up at him, she was grinning. It wasn't hard to tell that she was enjoying the magic show. "Well...as long as we leave a note for the two Agents down the hall. As long as they know I stepped out for a bit, it should be alright." she replied.

Zander blinked. "Agents? Agents of what?" he asked, and he seemed a little panicked. The Hidden City had it's own little police force, referred to as "Agents of the High Council", who answered to the elders of the city itself. When they were involved, things were not good for you...

Elmira blinked back at him. "Oh, they're NSHU agents." she replied calmly. "They're part of the big super hero group. Actually they're more hero than they are agent as far as I know. They do more recruiting and fighting than meetings and paperwork or anything. It's alright...they're nice." she said, noting that he seemed panicked. Then she wondered why he seemed panicked. "....are...do you have bad agents or something?" she asked.
