Kale nodded. 'I will when the time is right.' he promised. Then he noticed something different. "Hey, who turned down the AC? I can't see my breath anymore." he stated, slightly surprised.

Kaida sighed, but nodded. "Alright...and...I don't know....I don't feel different." She was still naive -- she should probably be taught.

Kale chuckled and sat on the bed. "Of course not, we don't feel the cold or the heat. The only way we know it's cold is if we see our breaths, and hot is if we see steam rising from the ground outside."

Kaida looked at him curiously for a second, like a first grader learning 1 + 1. "Oh...okay...so...when will I mature and get my powers?" She always asked this...hoping she'd get a better response each time.

Kale grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a hug. "I know, i know, but it's my first time too having a mate, I don't know everything like you think I do."

'For taking me out today...for a real meal -- not that your blood wasn't good, which makes me thank you for feeding me those times, but humans blood...ah...I see why we feed from them. And thank you for teaching me, even if I'm still naive as I am. Thanks for defending me before from Jasmine, and letting me kill her. And....and thank you for turning me -- I don't know if I would have wanted to be turned by anyone but you -- and then in turn be their mate...gross...no...you, you're the only one I wanted, and so for that I thank you. You've made my life worth living in a sense, even if I am technically dead. But I've never been nor ever will be mad for that....NEVER!' She emphasized. She had poured her heart to Kale, she loved him so much. She had to thank him somehow, but she awaited for what he would do.

Kale was a bit shocked into speechlessness. He had no idea what to say to all these thank you's, and other things. So he did the only thing that made sense to him. Hold her tighter, lovingly, as if she was his very life line.
