"You should stay with the others," Hope said. "I will be alright when I'm alone. Stay with Faith and Father."

"Just scream or something if you need help," Shane said. He left her, looking back once more just in case as he went to sit with Faith and her dad.

Hope gesture for him to go and then began to get some glasses.
Faith and her father had sat down in the sitting room, chatting politely.

Shane went into the sitting room and took a chair so he was equally close to Faith and her father. His demon family had taught him some things about being in company.

Then hope came out of the kitchen with a tray of tea. She offered it first to her father and then to Shane.

Shane had a strange, shocked look at first when he saw that Hope was basically a servant. Then he composed his face into a rather emotionless mask. He took the tea Hope offered him with a nod and a slight smile, to let her know that he was only acting like this, just in case she got upset by his actions.

Hope smiled back a bit and then went to Faith and offered it to her. Then she went back to the kitchen.
"How long have you been traveling with them?" their father asked.
