The girl waved the Kirsa and Kilik away, her eyes meanwhile snagging on a giant blue Pokemon thing heading their way with a kajillion balloons. But oh! It'd lost them! M.A. frowned sympathetically, not exactly realizing that the giant Pokemon was heading towards them.
M.A. was guessing -- because she was the genius out of the group, we're certain -- that Mike was an avid fan of Fire-types. How ever did she know? She couldn't have discerned that much from his beach attire nor that giant Charizard he had (finally a Pokemon she knew the name of without referring to her PokeDex!). "I'm guessing you're into the Fire-types," she giggled a tiny bit, the later sound being something of a nervous reaction. Mrs. Obvious. Don't get her wrong, she loved meeting new people; she just tended to be a little shy. It didn't help that she towered over Kasiya and was even taller than this new fella. More mass to be self-conscious of, and no where to hide.
But once Mike started talking to her, she started feeling a little bit more comfortable. With the first couple of awkward moments done away with, she started to feel a little bit more herself. "Yeah, this is Daemyn," she said, smiling naturally now. Scruffled the dog's head when he refused to greet this Mike guy in any way. The canine could be quite a douche. "And then there's Ulani and Tora," she finished, forgetting to include what species they were. "I'd ask you the same question, but I'm not sure if you'd have to go down some long list," the brunette added, still grinning, having caught a glimpse of Mike's Pokeballs ( A/N: is he wearing them? O: ).
Having mentioned Ulani, however, M.A. decided that perhaps the bird would be far more inclined to the beach and sun than Daemyn was, who did not seem like he was enjoying the sand and heat. "I'ma let you hide from the beach a while, mm?" she asked Daemyn, and when he nodded semi-gratefully, she recalled him and replaced her Poke-companion with the ever-cheery Swablu, who fluttered around in the salty air, obviously full of energy. She greeted Kasiya and Mike both by zipping around their heads and chirping brightly before finding a new, comfortable looking roost on top of Charizard's head. Poor fella, didn't look like he'd be allowed to rest too much, but at least the Swablu was as light as a feather. M.A. blushed a bit, not wholly embarassed, and apologized briefly, "Sorry, that's just her way of saying nice to meet you~"

Even as Mike asked about the egg Kasiya was shifting it in her arms, trying to find a comfortable position to hold it. It was doing that strange glowing-thing again and she could see the heat shimmer rising up from it. She looked up to see what had distracted Mike and she was a little shocked to see a rather large Azumarill (Kasiya only knew that it was an Azumarill because Nina had one) heading their way. After a moment or two of staring Kasiya realized it was somebody wearing a costume. Out of the corner of her eye she saw M.A. pull Daemyn back into his Pokeball and release Ulani, her Swablu. Kasiya waved at the happy bird as it greeted her, and hoped that Nitro wouldn't be too upset by the cottony 'hat' he'd just acquired. It must be really warm in there, she thought, as she turned her attention back to the girl in the Azumarill costume, momentarily forgetting that she was carrying her own miniature heat source right in her arms. Shocker didn't seem to like the person wearing the suit and took a few steps back, just in time to see a little streak of blue fly past her and careen into her trainer's leg.
The last thing Kasiya had been expecting was to get headbutted by a Mudkip, and while the Water-type probably wasn't using all of his strength it was enough to catch the girl off-guard and send her tumbling forward into the sand. The egg flew out of her hands rather comically, but was promptly caught by Shocker, who then set it safely in the sand as it was far too hot for her to hold onto. Groaning Kasiya pulled herself into a sitting position, sighing with relief. "Nice catch, Shocker," she said gratefully, patting the Raichu on the head. She looked around for her 'attacker' and sighed when she saw the little blue Mudkip looking up at her, grinning broadly. "George?" she asked, shaking her head. "What'd you do that for? It's not nice to go around tackling people." She stood up and looked around. If George was here then that meant that Serenity was somewhere nearby. She knelt down and checked on the egg, but drew back her hand as in addition to the glowing it was now humming as well.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan smiled at Robin's enthusiasm and after making sure he had his things the three of them began to head in the direction of the Charizard. As they got closer Jaeshan did indeed recognize the Charizard's trainer, as well as one of the girls he was with. "It's Mike and Kasiya," he mumbled, waving at them. He didn't think Mike would remember him, but he knew that if Kasiya had forgotten him then he'd just have to remind her. The tall girl that was with them recalled her Houndour and sent out a small bird with wings that looked like they were made of clouds.
Very suddenly Kasiya was tackled to the ground by what looked to be a Mudkip. It didn't look like she'd been hurt, but it was rather funny to watch. It wasn't until she stood up that Jaeshan caught sight of the orange egg sitting near Shocker, and he raised an eyebrow. That's kind of like the egg that Combusken hatched out of, he thought as they reached the group.

Unlike Jaeshan Robin wasn't paying attention to the people, instead her eyes were glued on the Charizard. As she got closer Robin couldn't help but make an excited squeal before dashing over to it. The large lizard appeared to be sleeping on the warm stone. Standing in front of it Robin couldn't help but stare in awe at the powerful pokemon in front of her. "Wow! A real live Charizard! It's amazing! Wonderful!" She crowed bouncing slightly her sandled feet slapping the ground lightly. "Luffy have you ever seen anything so cool?!" She squealed looking over at her constant companion.
On her shoulder Luffy could only stare with wide eyes for a moment. The great big lizard was so... so... COOL! Letting out his own happy cry he jumped down and ran around the cool Charizard. When he saw the end of the Charizards tail he let out an amazed cry. It was on fire! How cool! Running back to the front he noticed that the cool lizard had gotten a fluffy hat, it looked very strange on its head, and it wasn't nearly as cool as his own. Grinning Luffy decided it was time to see if it really would be fun to slide down the large pokemons back!
Robin breaking away from her daze on seeing a real live Charizard noticed the look Luffy was giving it. "Oh no you don't!" She cried as she went over and scooped the Aipom up before he could do... whatever it was he would do. "No Luffy, you don't want to mess with this pokemon, haven't you heard the saying, 'Leave sleeping Charizards sleeping?'" She was pretty sure she got the quote wrong but it would work here.

Serenity saw as George connected with Kasiya's leg and sent the girl tumbling to the ground. It caused Sere to stop dead in her tracks from her run. She smacked her head with the palm of her hand. 'How am I going to do deal with this now?' she thought to her self. The last thing she needed was for her pokemon to run around attacking people that she had hoped to become friends with. Worse yet when Kasiya fell she dropped the egg that she had been carrying. Thank goodness the raichu caught it before it was able to fully make contact with the ground. She sighed and started to run once more.
"Oi Kasiya! I'm so sorry. He just got away from me." She said her anxiety causing it to sound as thought it was just a bunch of noise rather than a sentence. When she got to the group of people, she quickly bent down and picked up the now sorry looking mudkip. "I'm so s-sorry." She stuttered. "George you can not just go running off like that, and you most certainly can not attack people. Goodness I hope your egg is okay! I don't know what I would do to repay you if it wasn't." Sere could feel the tears coming to her eyes. She burried her head in the mudkip. 'Worst trip to the beach ever.' she thought.

Kilik blinked when she came out, and tilted his head. He was a bit taken aback by the muscle - she was more toned than he was. He looked down at his chest and patted where his sternum was. I feel so out of place now. All these guys have those crazy pectorals and she's got abs. He smiled anyway. "Let's go!" he pointed towards the Name Rater, "Elekid wanted a nickname, so you don't mind if we do that first, do we?"
Not that he gave her time to answer. He was already headed in that direction. Names filled his head. What was he going to call his Pokemon? He wanted a name that stuck out like Napalm or Nitro, but was recognizable only for him, like Portabello. The trainer looked over at Elekid. "Let's see...Thor? Dura-Cell?" He laughed at the thought of the last one. "Energizer...Spark Plug...Battery...Sparky...Cable.." Each name seemed less and less appealing and he almost didn't want to name the Elekid at all. "ElecMan, SparkMan, MagnetMan, BrightMan..." he scratched his chin then looked at Kirsa. "Can you think of anything?"
Elekid sighed at some of the names but perked up at the sound of 'Cable'. He didn't have much time to react though, since his trainer was going on and on with more absurd names. How was he going to let his trainer know that 'Cable' is what he wanted? The plug frowned and closed his eyes as Kilik entered the Name Rater's house.

Mary-Anne wasn't exactly sure what to think as a blue Pokemon suddenly made contact with Kasiya's leg and sent her overboard. "You... alright?" she blinked, not exactly sure if she was talking about Kasiya or the egg at the moment. Good thing Shocker caught it.
If that had happened fast, so did the appearance of three more people; one, presumably the trainer of George, who was a Mudkip according to M.A.'s Pokedex, one was Robin, and the other guy looked familiar...
"Robin? Jae.. shan?" M.A. asked quizzically, although Robin didn't seem to hear her as both her and Luffy seemed to be fairly entranced by the orange fire-dragon. "And uh, hi!" she added with an uncertain, crooked towards Serenity, who looked like she was about to cry.
Ulani, meanwhile, poofed her head up to stare at Luffy, but more predominated Mr. Hat. Hmph. She wouldn't chase that one anymore, she thought indignantly, wiggling comfortably on her warm perch. Mr. Hat was such a jerk.

Kasiya turned to Serenity, smiling warmly. "Don't worry about it," she said, wondering how she could diffuse the situation without tears. "I'm all right. George was just saying hello, in his own way."
"Rai chuu," Shocker agreed, patting Serenity on the leg. After all, the Raichu couldn't judge George for his actions as she had a tendency to do stuff like that all the time. Besides, she'd caught the egg and it was safe and sound - no need to worry! However, in addition to its beacon-like glow and strange hum, it was also wiggling like crazy. Perhaps the commotion had awoken it? Deciding that her trainer would be too busy with all the humans gathering around, Shocker decided that until the egg hatched or the day was over, whichever came first, she would be it's official 'guardian.'
When Kasiya heard Jaeshan's name she looked around for the familiar blonde boy, squeaking with happiness upon seeing one of her best friends and practically launched herself at him for a hug. "Jae! How have you been? How are your Pokemon? I haven't seen you in like forever!" Her words were both rushed and muffled and just for a moment she forgot that they were on a beach, her memory being jogged only after she realized that Jaeshan was shirtless and she was wearing a bikini. Her cheeks went redder than a Pikachu's and she slowly let go of him and backed up, giggling sheepishly before she realized Ryka was there too, and she waved at her other friend happily, looking as though she'd already forgotten that she'd been embarrassed. "Hey Ryka! How have you been?" she asked.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan raised his hand to wave at the tall brunette, whom he only recognized now that he was much closer. He barely had time to see Robin and Luffy rush off towards the Charizard before he was being hugged by Kasiya. Needless to say Jae blushed furiously as well, although he was glad to see that she was doing well. "Heh... yeah, I'm fine," he said, scratching the back of his head. "My Pokemon are great too." He glanced over at Shocker, who seemed to be very preoccupied with the egg. "So Kassie, is that your egg?" he asked, kneeling down to get a look at it. It was giving off an absurd amount of heat and was moving around quite vigorously. If he didn't know any better it looked as though it could hatch at any time.

Serenity whiped all the tears away and nodded and Kasiya, who was quickly distracted by two other people she didn't know. Kasiya's raichu patter her leg softly and for some reason it helped her to calm down a lot. It didn't however, stop her from hiding from all these people behind her pokemon. She suddenly wished that she was any where but here. Preferably home in her house, tending to the pokemon that her family had raised.
George started to strugle a bit. He wanted to get down and meet these new people, but he could tell by how tightly his trainer was clining on to him, that there was no way that she was letting him get down any time soon. So he decided to get as comfortable as he could for someone that was being treated as a squeeze toy. "Mud Kip." He said as his way of protesting. He wised that Radish was out. At least she would try and help keep Serenity a bit calmer, or at the very least would provide enough of a distraction for the girl to forget that there were hundreds of people here. Maybe help to get her calmed down the way she was last night.
Sere marvelled at how many people were starting to crowd around Kasiya. She seemed like an awfully popular girl. Or at the very least very friendly. If she had any sense at all she would start to run far far away. Strangely though the fear that made her want to run held her in place. Maybe it was her brain's way of saying "okay you make friends now"

It was okay that he didn't give her time to answer, because she didn't mind anyways. She toddled after him, listening to him rattle off a list of potential names, Hans trotting along at her side. He didn't particularly care what the plug got named. Clearly he was still offened by his behaviour earlier.
Kirsa noticed the Elekid perk up briefly, and wondered if it was perhaps because he heard a name he liked? "Kilik...I think he liked Cable." She voiced her musings, looking to the plug Pokemon to see his reaction, perhaps for confirmation that her theory was correct. "Though if you still wish for a suggestion from me, I suggest Blitz."

Sentret let out an unhappy cry at being knocked over, but quickly bounced back onto his feet. "Scratch," Kurine said quickly. Sentret was feeling a lot better after the night's rest, and actually listened, though it was anything but happily. The Pokemon swiped at Ricky's Pidgey with his claws, knocking the bird aside a bit. The Pidgey had taken a bit of a beating battling Cyndaquil, and Kurine was sure that if Sentret just listened to her, she could beat it this time around.
"Sand Attack!" Ricky called to his Pidgey as the flying-type hopped back onto its feet. The Pidgey kicked up a cloud of dirt and aimed it directly at Sentret, who let out a cry and angrily tried to the wipe the sand from his eyes. He lurched forward and swiped at the Pidgey, but the flying-type easily dodged the attack, and Ricky had it use a Tacke. The bird knocked into Kurine’s Sentret and send the Pokemon sprawling.

Kilik blinked at Kirsa. "You sure he wasn't excited about SparkMan?" He looked over to his Elekid, who had hopped off of Kilik's shoulder and was nodding, pointing at Kirsa. Yes, the girl was right! Cable is what he wanted! The trainer blinked. "I suppose Ca--"
A cough filled the room as an older man emerged from the back room. "Trainers?" he smiled, "Ah yes! I am the Name Rater! I rate Pokemon's nicknames. Which one of you has a Pokemon you'd like named?" he squinted around the room. "Is it you?" he pointed at Kilik. The boy nodded. "Yes! And this is my Elekid!" he picked up the baby and handed him over to the man. "I really didn't want to nickname him, but he insisted..."
"Pokemon usually insist on being called different things. It gives them a better sense of identity..." he examined the Pokemon and looked at Kilik, "Do you have a name in mind?" Again, the trainer nodded. "Yes. I'd like to name him...Cable!" He smiled over at Kirsa. Elekid squealed with joy in the man's arms. He was slightly confused when he left the room, as was Kilik. The raven haired boy walked over to Kirsa and slipped his hands into the pockets of his bathing suit. "Wonder how exactly it's going to work?" About ten minutes later, the man returned with a sleeping Elekid in his arms. "When he wakes up, he will respond to Cable just as well as Elekid." The elderly man smiled and walked into the back room again. Kilik took Elekid into his arms and blinked. "O...kay." He turned to exit the building.
"Where to now?" He looked down at the baby and smiled. "I never thought I'd call you anything but Elekid. I suppose a plug by any other name would smell as sweet."

((Mike is wearing his bathing suit and his gloves. His messenger bag is on him also, and his Pokeballs are on the strap, just like his normal sprite.))
Mike could only laugh at the vigorous Mudkip using Kasiya's leg as an improvised doggie door. He would ask if she was alright, but others already have, and he knew Kasiya had taken worse lumps. Surprisingly enough, the owner of the familiar looking Mudkip was none other than the timid little girl he'd just met the other day, Serenity. "Hello there!" called Mike, waving to the new arrival. Before he could say anything else, he was directed to Kasiya nearly tackling a boy who just walked over. At first he didn't recognize him, but after a while it clicked. That boy he met in...Cerulean was it? He didn't quite have the facts down. A slight frown left him as he saw Kasiya hold on to him for a moment or two too long, why didn't he get a hug like that? It soon faded. A girl was traveling with him too. It was Ryka, the girl he met in Vermillion, the day Napalm and Kilik's Elekid first met and began their rivalry. Boy there were certainly a lot of people showing up.
"No, I hate 'em." smiled Mike, going back to M.A.'s question. "That damn Charizard isn't even mine, he just won't stop following me." He let out a phony sigh of annoyance, winking back as Nitro opened a narrowed and somewhat unamused eye. "Yes actually. I love Fire Pokemon. They are very special to me." he nodded, thinking back to his hometown and the abundance of Fire Pokemon at Keegan's house. He'd spend so much time just watching Mr. Summers tend to the Pokemon. It was from the Summers family that he got Nitro on his 15th birthday. "As for my other Pokemon, on me right now I've got my Charizard, Nitro, over there, a Breloom, a Typhlosion, an Ampharos, a Cloyster and a Magby. I've got a bunch of other ones that I switch out regularly, but right now I'm focusing on getting my Magby to evolve."
As he prattled on about his own Pokemon, something interesting caught his eye about his new friend's Houndour. "Hm.." Compelled, he knelt down to examine it closer. Not really concerned with Daemyn acting up, he proceeded to examine the canine. "Okay, male, obviously, don't even need to check that...in good shape...typical stiff and ready posture..." He scratched his head. "Has he shown any symptoms of evolving yet?" Mike asked the girl, a bit confused. "He is certainly around the right size, and judging from the shape of his teeth, you certainly use him a good amount. Even his skeletal extremities are longer than usual, and I don't see an everstone on him."
Nitro could feel his blood boil as he felt something ever so lightly land on his head. It better have been a leaf or petal, because if it was another Pokemon out to bother him... He opened his eyes and looked up. Lo' and behold there was something obscenely soft and fluffy resting on his head. The Charizard sighed, at the very least it was quiet, and even though it was sitting on his head, it didn't really weigh anything. The puffball could stay. As he went to close his eyes again, a human girl's voice caught his attention. She was yelling at a Pokemon of hers, but not before shooting an adoring glance back in his direction in between sessions of shouting. Nitro opened his wings and draped them over himself, praying that the people around him would just get the message.

Kirsa couldn't hold back the look of amusement as the plug pointed at her. "I must venture a guess and say that it was not, in fact, SparkMan that he was excited about. Perhaps he is more a fan of comic book heroes rather than robot villains." She stayed quiet while Kilik and the older man exchanged words, though when the Elekid squealed she had to resist the urge to go scoop it up and lavish it in affection; it was so cute when it did that! Hans sat himself neatly at Kirsa's side, rolling his eyes. He could tell his trainer was smitten with delight toward that little b*****d plug. At least she managed to contain herself.
"I haven't a clue..." It certainly was taking a while...she couldn't even begin to imagine how this process worked. How strange. Kirsa followed Kilik out of the building back out into the sunshine, Hans walking faithfully at her side. There would be a day of reckoning for the Elekid, oh yes...
The military girl looked around for a few moments. "Hm...perhaps we should go find the others? Or maybe wander around? I am not exactly the best authority to ask on this sort of thing, I don't really do social gatherings like this..."

Seeing that she woke up the Charizard and he seemed a bit annoyed Robin pouted slightly. She had never seen a Charizard before and they were rare, or rather she didn't meet a lot of people who had them. Then again Robin didn't meet a lot of people, most of them didn't seem to like her, they loved Luffy though even if he was annoying, everyone loved Luffy though and Robin didn't blame them. "Aww..." She crouched down in front of him examining his way cool wings with Luffy in her arms. Without even thinking about it, or wondering if the Charizard would understand her, the rest of her pokemon seemed to anyway she started talking to it. "You wanna go to sleep?" Not waiting for an answer Robin continued on. "I have a place on the beach where my other friend is trying to sleep. There is lots of warm sand there if you want to go lay there." The moment she said it Robin regretted it. Ampersand made pokemon fall asleep near him, plus he wouldn't be to happy if there was a giant lizard there, well she didn't know that. " Wait that might not be a good idea... You'd fall asleep before you got close enough to him." She mumbled to herself. "Umm sorry for bugging you. Its just that your the first Charizard that I have ever seen and I always thought that Charizards were so cool. And I should really shut up now." 'Stupid stupid!' Robin thought to herself, why was she bugging the big lizard? He could roast her in a second because she was annoying him.

Kilik's jaw was practically dragging the floor when she spoke. "How did...really?" he laughed, closing his mouth, "I must admit I didn't expect that." Elekid opened his eyes slowly and looked around. Everything was the same. Nothing felt different. He looked up at Kilik and blinked. "Hey there, Cable," the boy smiled.
The plug jumped out of his trainers arms and punched the air. "Ele!" he said triumphantly. He glanced over at the Houndour that seemed to now forever hold a grudge against him. What? It was only one little shock...
"I say we find our gang," he laughed, "But part of me wants to find a real good battle..." he punched his fist into his hand and smirked. "You and me, Cable!" The Pokemon imitated his trainer and punched his fist into his other hand.
