It was an ironic comment since Lore was hyper aware of Gion's earlier emotions. He didn't know why he was shyer though because it made more sense in his mind to be shyer while he was at the castle, but he was not. Perhaps it was the first negative reaction he had gotten that was directed to him, more or less.
"Ah...." Lore smiled sheepishly, "Old habits die hard."

Elnara's brow furrowed slightly in confusion. Had something happened? She hadn't seen him this shy in a very long time ... a very long time indeed. He hadn't been shy at all meeting her family, of whom she herself was terrified ... so why was he so uncomfortable here, where she was not?
"Are you all right?" she asked him softly, putting one hand on his arm in concern.

"I'm fine," Lore reassured her.
After all it was probably nothing at all, he was sure of it. He just had to get use to the idea, or maybe it was all starting to sink in with him. Who knew.

"Ah, of course," Laer said brightly. "Well, we'll have something to eat and then you and Elnara just rest yourselves. If you need to sleep, there are beds upstairs, or we have a couch in the other room, chess if you like to play. I know Elnara's fond of the game, aren't you?"
And she turned to Elnara and smiled.

Elnara nodded back at Laer. "I used to play with Mother a lot," she replied softly; then, releasing Lore's arm, she added, "but it's been a long time again since I've seen her."
She lifted her glass to her lips, hesitated a moment, and took a sip of water.

Actually he didn't, he wondered if her chess was like his chess. Though he did file that way in his mind for future reference. One never knew when something like that would become useful after all. Perhaps he would ask her later about her type of chess.
Though the fact it would bring up memories of better times was probably why he hadn't known that.
"Not since that last visit," Lore added softy, "Maybe.... that should be another trip...."
After all it had been a long time.

Seeker popped up suddenly between Lore and Elnara, grinning widely.
"Nako was here all last year!" she piped up happily. "She comes to visit a lot, I like it when she comes"
Nadya gave her daughter a hard look, and Seeker giggled a bit and backed away slowly. "Sorry if I startled you!" she grinned at Lore and Elnara, bowing her head slightly as she backed away. Then she ran around the table and hopped up onto one of the chairs across from them.

Elnara smiled at Seeker as she went to the other side of the table. "I'm glad that you can see her," she told her niece sincerely. How often was it that Earendil, Daeron or Tinuviel got the chance? Pretty much never, she was certain.

Lore had jumped a bit at that, he had not heard her come up between them at all. Well that part was a given actually, and he knew it, but still. He never had anything like that since the time Yuki.. well.. that was a different thought and Tristan was there to restrain the man.
"It's good she visits you, and it's very good she can visit."
It meant that Serenity was feeling safe after all.

Seeker nodded agreeably. "She always tries to surprise us when she comes, but I always know when she's going to come and visit again," she giggled. "But I still keep it a surprise for Galdor, and he's always surprised. He doesn't think that I know, he thinks I'm just making it up when I'm not surprised when Nako comes, but I really just keep it secret from him."
"Lothiriel, you're going to make them tired just listening to you," Laer scolded her granddaughter with a laugh. "You always ramble on so."

Elnara laughed. "She's so energetic, it's hard to believe she's Nadya's."
She grinned mischievously at her friend. "You were always so quiet."

He was use to rambling, since it kind of reminded him of Celebor in a way, but the two were still very different.

The child giggled again. "See, Nako? They don't mind! Besides, you always like to talk about my other nako too, because you and her were best friends for all when you were growing up weren't you? That's what Mama says, right? But it's kind of weird because even though you and her are still best friends Papa didn't even know Mama for a real long time, that's what Mama says!"
Nadya smiled softly at Elnara. "Yes, we do tend to wonder where she gets it from. She's not like me, and Gion of course doesn't speak."

Elnara smiled at Nadya. "Well, who knows what Gion would be like if he could?" she reminded her friend. "After all, when he's excited, he can speak pretty quickly with those hands of his."
She didn't know anyone who could sign as fast as Gion, and she wondered at times how she was even able to keep up with him.

Okay, so she might be a tad more chatty than Celebor at least, and even more chatty than the twins after they did magic. Which was kind of saying something since the two tended to also argue with each other which just uped the chatty-ness.
"Well... things like that do happen, it's chance I guess," Lore murmured to the child, he looked up and chuckled a bit, "I take it you have a clue Elnara?"
In reference to her brother, since there was more than one way to talk.
