"Well, we can go show him a thing or two!" he exclaimed, wrapping his arm confidently over Caradoc's shoulders and pulling him up. "Nah, we'll wait till later. I don't have any fighting gumption in me right now." he said, laughing, and letting Caradoc resume his seat on teh matress.

Caradoc leaned against him and sighed, "I'm almost afraid to go downstairs, now." He murmured, relaxing his wings. Their movements looked more and more natural than before.

"Hey, I'll show him what's what. Don't you worry." Ever said, his voice reassuring Caradoc with an almost cocky quality to it. "He won't touch ya, I promise." he continued, luaghing and holding Caradoc with strong, but gentle arms. "Your wings better? Hope it's progressing better than my eyes.."

"Yeah, they don't hurt as much." Caradoc said, laying his head in Ever's lap. "I guess your eyes aren't doing so well, then?" He asked, reaching for his hand.

Ever's hands stayed where they were, resting on Caradoc's stomach, and he shrugged. "They are no better and no worse. I can see lights and shadows, but I have to look through a flame to see everything else." he explained, smiling weakly, looking down to Caradoc.

"Hmm," Caradoc murmured, stroking the back of Ever's hand with his thumb. "At least you can see that much..." He said quietly, curling up a little. "Is it as scary as it sounds... to be going blind?"

"It is a little scary, but I can always see if I want to, since fire conjuring is one of my magical strengths, like my sister." he elaborated, shivers shocking up and down his spine with Caradoc's touch. "It is only scary right when I wake up, and I expect to see when I open my eyes..."continued Ever as he bit his lip, and smiled weakly.

"What if you have someone with you?" Caradoc asked, "It's even scary then, too?" He said, closing his eyes. He wasn't tired, it just felt right. "And I hardly got to meet your sister. She seemed busy, though."

"If you want to meet her, just tell me. I can always go bother her." he said, smiling. "She's just very happy with her new husband, the red headed one." Ever yawned, flopping back to lay on his back,with his legs still hanging over the edge of the bed. "It is just scary at first when I wake up because I forget what happened."

"I guess you'll have to get used to it, then." Caradoc said, tracing a pattern in the bedspread. "And there's no need to bug your sister on my account. She'd probably rather spend time with her husband."

"It's fine, I'm sure she wouldn't mind." he replied, but shrugged. "I'm fine with it. I was going to investigate on a way to put the fire in my eye.. You knwo, sort of like contacts? But I need a way to do it safely.."elaborated Ever, as he shut his eyes, and hummed a song.

Caradoc rolled over so he could look up at Ever, laying his wings flat against the mattress. "If you don't mind getting her, I won't mind meeting her." he said, resting his hands over his chest. "And I think that would be a good idea if you knew how to do it."

Ever closed his eyes in concentration and tried to make a mental connection with his sister, and started to laugh a little nervously. "Um, she's a little .. busy. I dont' want to interrupt their personal time." he elaborated with a sneaky grin. Holding a flame to his eye, he rolled over on top of Caradoc. Extinguishing it again, he laughed in a mischevious sort of chuckle. "I'm jealous." he said, with a pouty lip.

"Oh, Caradoc!" Ever exclaimed dramatically, clasping a hand over his mouth, revealing painted nails. More accurately, black sharpied nails. "How could you ever imply such a thing!" he said, then giggling, poking Caradoc's sides. "Hmm, not too evil. But, what ever you want, Doc." he said, shaking his head and blushign for implying such a thing. He'd had no specific idea what Ellie was doing, but his thoughts were pushed out of her head by the invasion of thoughts only of Bai, and being close toh im.
