*He had to stop this! Chris jumped up and pushed Karen out of the way.*

Teddy, do not listen to her! Relationships are more than shoving your tongue down someone's throat! At some point, kissing stops and talking starts. Being with someone based on their ability to makeout and nothing else would be awful for you both. You need to talk to Billy like I said.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 07, 2013 4:45 pm

"But...I don't know what to talk to him about. What's he into?"

Teddy wasn't exactly hearing what he was hoping to. He had been expecting something ...well, shocking. A revelation that would open his mind and let him know what the problem was. He was looking for a simple solution, and he doubted he was going to find out.

No one knew exactly WHO spread the word that the now-infamous "The Christopher Powell Foundation For Getting You Some Action" was back in business, but most would probably point a super-finger at Mary Batson. No matter who let the words out, it was buzzing across the campus.

Which may have explained why, completely coincidentally, Querl Dox strolled into the library trying to look as inconspicuous as a green teenager from the future could as he scribbled notes in a notebook observing Powell's advice for Teddy. The endlessly fascinating interactions between Powell and his colleagues were going to be valuable research someday, Dox was sure of it.

"Ugh... Talk. Talk. Talk. When has 'talking' ever solved anything? I mean fine. you wanna take his stupid advice go a head... it's your loss. Haven't you heard actions' speak louder then words?"

Karen leaned over the table to whisper.

"Between the two of us, I hear you're Ex girl friend is into Magic. It's a card game nerds play. Magic the Gathering. Look it up." *Winks*

She then leaned back and bashed Powell's system some more.

"Oh Pu-Lease Powell. Teddy and Billy's problem is an easy fix, they hit if off once they could do it again. Most certainly if he did it my way, but he's chosen yours. Whatever. You're system wouldn't work on someone who really needed it. Some poor, lost, lonely soul, with no friends, no talent, and just a straight-up make out virgin."

Her internship with Dr. Richards was going so well, she was in awe of his genius mind, and may have developed a bit of a crush on the married professor. Simply put she was beginning to develop a bit of an obsession with Dr. Richard's work and the man behind it all.

Linda was in the library cheeking out as many books as she could find on the subject of interdepartmental travel. Carrying quite the large load of books and needed to get some more for the science section that just so happened to be right where the group was sitting.

“Oh Hello The Powell, Karen, Theodore. Pleasure seeing you all again.” She nodded to each of them with a soft smile, then moved on to the book she wanted.

“There's a book I need just up here..” She carried the mass pile of books with one hand, while floating up to reach the other book on the top shelf, she stretched for it giving it a yank and suddenly all the books came tumbling down on the groups heads.

“Oooh! I'm soo Sorry! I really should have watch what I was doing! So clumsy! Sorry! Sorry! I'm such a clutz!”

She tired to hurry and pick up all the books, while repeatedly apologizing.

*Grrr! Teddy wasn't going to listen to him with Karen babbling at him! He needed proof.*

Hey, Linda.

*The girl was still calling him 'the Powell.' That was awesome.Suddenly, the blond made it rain books. Chris was simultaneously struck by a book AND a good idea! He was gonna My Fair Lady this problem!*

Teddy, dating and talking will let you find out what Billy is up to. I can see you're having a hard time accepting my advice even though I showed you a testimonial.
So, I shall prove myself again!

*Chris jumped up, wrapped an arm around Linda, and pulled her close.*

I will turn Linda Lang, self-confessed clutz, into the girl that every boy will want to take to the Spring Formal!

*He leaned down to look Karen in the eyes.*

Oh that's right, baby, I'm My Fair Ladying this $#!%.

"Ow...." Querl had made the unfortunate miscalculation of getting too close to Powell and Karen, and had suffered a copy of 'Encyclopedia Galactica' hitting him square in the forehead as a result.

"Watch where you're going!" He rubbed his head. "I can't afford any sort of blunt force trauma to my most important asset."

He opened one eye and saw Powell standing next to Linda Lang. As a full-fledged 13 year old now, Querl was beginning to become acutely aware of the biological imperative for reproduction. And Linda Lang was...

"Oh that's right, baby, I'm My Fair Ladying this $#!%."

What the hezz did that mean? Was Powell declaring his intentions to court yet another superpowered blonde female? Why? Didn't he already have several of them recorded as showing interest in mating with him? Querl quickly flipped open his notebook to page 87 - 'Powell Mating Diversity.'

Lisa Snart? Cassandra Sandsmark? Karen Starr? And now Linda Lang?! Why did this particular human attract such a specific genotype in prospective mates?

...Such a specific genotype that Querl was beginning to think was maybe the most attractive genotype ever created by the evolutionary process, at that! Clearly, his observation had to progress from mere watching to intervention.

"Excuse me...." Querl brushed aside the Encyclopedia Galactica. "But I would like to offer my assistance in this current matter..."
PostPosted: Fri Apr 12, 2013 6:34 pm

"Sorry, Querl, I didn't see you there... I hope I didn't hurt her most important asset." She smiled but was really embarrassed, taking the book from him she floats it back up to the top self along with all the other books. Then she picked up her own.

Only to drop them once more when The Powell quickly grabs her and shouts his announcement.

"Excuse me, but no thank you," She removes his hand from her shoulder and picks up her pile of books again.

"I'm not interested in any dance, or boys right now, I have no idea what My fair Lady is. I simply don't have time to find out. I'm far too busy helping Dr. Richards uncover something spectacular and magnificent!" She suddenly got excited about the last part thinking about him. Then quickly calmed herself clearing her throat and spoke softly again. "He's a genius who only accepts one or two students in his internship program each year, He's very dedicated and expects the same dedication from his students as well."

"He's is far more need of my assistance... We're about to explore something..." She almost blew the secret but stopped herself. "It doesn't matter... The Powell, I'm sorry you'll have to find someone else for you're experiment." She gave him an apologetic look.

To Teddy she put in her own advice. "Relationships can be hard, but some people are worth the extra effort. Good luck with you're love life, Teddy, I hope it all worked out not matter who you choose."

She smiled at the rest of them, "Good bye everyone." And walked to the desk to take out her books.

Karen laughed, even after the books fell she laughed. How could these two possibly be the same person form a different realty? It wasn't any surprise to anyone these two didn't get along. They were total opposites,

Karen was the brauns, interested in working out, staying active, becoming a leader, and a hero someone could look up to.

All Linda care about was her brains and when she tired to join the cheerleaders she just failed. Cassie had no choice but to kick her out. She didn't care about being popular, or even boys.

Something was seriously wrong with her.

"It's a shame she's not into you're lame makeover technique. I really think she could use the help. And the down time form all those books and studding. She puts a lot of pressure on herself and the dance could help ease her out of that a little."

Karen couldn't believe what she was saying but she was totally encouraging Powell into doing something positive for someone else... Ugh. Capt Marvel was starting to get to her...

"Who knows maybe you can help both Teddy and Linda get boyfriends."

Teddy was overwhelmed by all of the information flooding his brain at once. He didn't know who to listen to, and he didn't know anything about gather magic and playing cards. He didn't know what Powell was talking about with this My Fair Lady s**t, and he wondered if that was a movie he should see. Was that the one where Julia Roberts was a hooker? Maybe.

That would explain why Powell has seen it.

His gaze drifted to the window, which was when he noticed that Querl had shown up. He offered him a little smile, and he waved. His smile turned into a wince as a book slammed into the back of his head before landing on the floor with a plop. "Ow!" Wincing, he rubbed the back of his head.

"Wait--what's going on now?"

*Chris slammed his palm down on the table. This was getting out of hand, he lost his project, and still hadn't convinced Teddy that The Christopher Powell Foundation For Getting You Some Action was the right way to go! GAH! Stupid Karen Starr with her mouth and bad attitude and large chest!*

This is what's going on. I am going to turn the shy, nerdy, clumsy but nice Linda Lang into the cool girl that the idiots on the football team will be falling over themselves to date. WHEN I get this done, Teddy will finally see that The Christopher Powell Foundation For Getting You Some Action is the place he should come for his dating advice. And you...

*Chris poked Karen in her forehead.*

...will know that I am a dating guru and to keep your nose and big boobs outta my business!

*He straightened back up and grabbed his laptop.*

Now, excuse me because I have to go collect my Eliza.

*Chris stopped. He would need some an assistant for this...a Colonel Pickering if you will. He turned to his roommate. Yes, the brainiac would do nicely. In fact, he was renaming the Dox kid as Brainiac.*

You, Brainiac. I'm drafting you as my helper. Come along, we have a teenage girl to transform.

*Chris grabbed Querl and drug him towards the front desk where Linda waited.*
PostPosted: Fri Apr 12, 2013 9:46 pm

Teddy watched as Chris took his green friend away, whisking him off after the blonde girl who had dropped books on all of their heads. Now he was left with Karen. Slowly, he stood, arching his back until it cracked, then twisting to ease the tension in his lower back.

"Want to come with me to find Billy? Maybe?"

"HOW DID YOU KN-" Querl was cut off by a dozen "SHHHHHHH" sounds coming from other students who were, you know, trying to use the library to study rather than launch a plot from the Golden Age of musicals. Querl clamped his mouth shut and stewed about being called 'Brainiac.' He was pretty sure that using that word before the original Brainiac attacked Earth was going to cause some sort of temporal anomaly.

Of course, his entire existence here in the 21st century was probably causing a bigger one, but being called 'Brainiac' was more instantly annoying. Querl allowed himself to be dragged over to Linda Lang and cleared his throat. He had to do some sort of interjection to keep Powell from claiming Linda Lang as another in his seemingly ever-growing harem of blonde haired superpowered females.

"Linda, if we could just talk to you for a minute." Querl thought for a second. "Please."
PostPosted: Sat Apr 13, 2013 9:03 am

*GAH! What was the Brainiac doing!? He was supposed to be playing sidekick to Chris's lead. Chris quickly stepped on Querl's foot and butted in.*

Linda, I would like you to rethink my offer. I know you're very busy with schoolwork but my offer of making you over into the new Queen of the Spring Formal has several benefits that you might not be seeing.

First of all, no matter how much work you need to do, one always needs a little downtime. You'll become dull witted and make mistakes with out a rest.. Second, you kinda stick out like a sore thumb at school and this will make you blend in better. That definitely will aid you in the future with your secret identitiy. Thirdly, colleges look for more than school grades on applications. You need extra-curricular stuff and Queen of the Spring Formal would look awesome on your resume. Need I go on?

Karen shrugged and stood up.

"Sure why not? Anything's better then watching the train wreck try and beautify the lameness outa that girl." She shook hear head. This was going to be funny.

One thing was for sure, Karen had a rough exterior but was really a romantic at heart. She really wanted to help Teddy out with his relationship problems.

"So lets just we find him... Then what lover-boy? You gonna stand there all doppy or are you going to ask him what's up?"
