Well, I just finished scanning the entire Petitions subforum. There aren't any petitions about this issue. There were a couple that wer close, but not quite it. So.....I think I may work on one. I think its too important of an issue to be ignored.

So.....I think I may work on one. I think its too important of an issue to be ignored. Yeah, it IS unfair to ban whole swatchs of people for this without at least taking the time to investigate. Maybe we should ask them why they ban everyone willy nilly?

Maybe we should ask them why they ban everyone willy nilly? The hard part is figuring out where to start. The mods are understaffed and overworked. It might be hard getting a detailed response from them.

I hope there is an announcement that includes a bit about process, and the reason for waiting until there were so many infractions, that it appeared as an arbitrary mass ban.
That being said, they don't really have to tell us anything, though I think they will. I have always come to forums under the impression that I'm a guest in someone's home, and if they ask me to leave, there ain't a whole helluva a lot I can do about it, except leave. sweatdrop
[edit] Oooh, Ranma 1/2! I haven't seen that in years! What a funny cartoon. Hehe, it couldn't be on TV here, not unless people change their attitudes around the female breast. There were lots of "oopsie" moments in that show. xd

We could always go run off and start our own communities but if they got big enough then we would have to start enforciing rules also. It can't be easy. A lot of the Americans I meet like to have their boys be BOYS and they don't want their girls to be distinctly NON girls. :p Maybe that's changing nowadays - dunno! There HAS to be a reason why Ranma is so popular ! About the breasts.. yeah.. that is too bad, because on the show they always portrayed breasts SO tastefully and in a wholesome way. At least, I thought so. EDIT and PS: LOL lol during the second season they even had 'oopsie' moments during the opening credits!

going to try to download it. and as far as the mass banning, i have to say that i dont know much about it but i do know that when any society gets too big the pwoers that be have to make decitions about how to uphold their laws.
and often times not everybody being punished is guilty of commiting a crime.
mistakes are made but its the only way to be sure that the guilty parties are delt with.
it sucks, but thats just the way it is.

Scrape Ape thanks for reminding me of that show guys, i havent seen it in years. going to try to download it. and as far as the mass banning, i have to say that i dont know much about it but i do know that when any society gets too big the pwoers that be have to make decitions about how to uphold their laws. and often times not everybody being punished is guilty of commiting a crime. mistakes are made but its the only way to be sure that the guilty parties are delt with. it sucks, but thats just the way it is. Perhaps, but it just seems to me that at least some effort should be put into separating the innocent and guilty. Not just "Oh, you received botted gold, therefore you must be banned. No questions asked" I know the mods are busy and I know the community is large, but it just seems that there should be a better way. *sighs*

Not to change the subject, but yeah, hehe, what's everyone doing today?
After Hubby pours his concrete pad, we're going to go for a bike ride (he bought himself a Harley, recently), and head off to the beach. It's supposed to get up to 33C today (very hot, for you Farenheiters), and I want to get a soak in.
I'm going to see if he'll have time to babysit me while I do some stair running in our very creepy city park, first, though, so it'll feel extra good as I cool my core. We're in a hot spell, and I haven't had a good cardio workout for a week!
In the evening, he wants to go to a barbeque, but, I'm hoping we can just chill out (hah, if that's possible!) and hang around the house.

I'm currently deeply involved in the strenuous task of vegging. xd Hubby had a really bad headache last night, so I don't want to wake him up. Plus, he doesn't get much sleep during the week.

One of my hardcore gamer friends once told me of a time where Sony Online Entertainment (the guys that made Everquest) once had a dispute with a sizable group of people in their online Starwars Galaxies game. To deal with these people who were petitioning (for some issue of fairness) they basically jettisoned them into deep space so they would die. If they were logged off they would log in to find themselves in the middle of space, etc. I need to find the cartoon that I saw one day concernign that.
