Hauraunah Knowing Wesker, your guess is the correct one. Wesker was too awesome for sex. They only way he'd have children "organic" way is if he found some way to make Chris the mother. XD The idea of Wesker getting jiggy with another human being does not sit right with me. The guy was a total egomaniac so its totally possible he decided to clone himself, or make test tube babies. But having intimate physical contact with another human being, consensual or otherwise does not seem right.

From what I've read so far Haur, Jake is a mercury trying to earn money to support his mother. How he ends up with Sherry I haven't heard yet, but I like his attitude.
