@Kanda: Somehow I had an image (in my head) of a wide-eyed girl facing a rapist with a bleeding knife... @_@ Doubt I could find that exact picture, though.

Hmm.. I guess it could be a picture of a person just looking wary or afraid;; I'll talk to my teacher about it xD
Now the big issue; finding an article that relates to my statement, thinking about using the Hudson River Plane crash... -types away-

Fear can save you using the fight or flight mechanism! lol show a squirrel next to a rattler. Its fear makes it stop moving so the snake wont attack :3

@Kanda: Well, if it's to save a life, obviously it's something drastic. Like... jumping a chasm to escape a car... fighting instead of running away (or vice versa XD)... pressing that suspicious red button when the room's about to explode...

@Nano: Not neccesarily, in the short story that I had to analyze the main character merely had hunches and bursted out in goosebumps, feeling paranoid but took a gun with her anyways, saving her life. Like the fight or flight system like Luff said. Hmm
