Angels Sonata Lt. Brookman Angels Sonata Oh well if your all right with blood and gore then I might be able to get away with some of the stuff, though some people might not like the idea of the intestines snaking out of the guardsman body after being driven through with a power lance, That's quite mild when you read some of the novels BL put out there. Hmm fair point, I guess it all comes down to perception. Ultra-violence isn't frowned upon, it's one of the parts of what makes 40k what it is after all.

Angels Sonata DarkElf27 Ooo, sounds like a blast. I'm going to be moving across the pond to that general part of the UK here in a couple months, hopefully I'll be able to get involved with such things. That's a whole other topic, though. Perhaps you'd be inclined to post some details in a new thread in the 40k subforums? It's going to be my first event other than Games Day and Black Library live so it should be worth it, though I still need to get everything built up and painted. I think I can do that, I might write a blog about the build up to the event and see what comes from it. If you want more details, let me know and I'll have them written down for you. It sounds pretty awesome, I'd be interested in anything you wanted to type up about the event. A project thread for building and painting the unit wouldn't go awry either. wink

Last off topic question: There is a kill team thread already, but no one has posted in a year, should I revive that one or start a new one?I guess it depends on whether or not you include authors that haven't written a book in a certain amount of time such as Ian Watson, and authors who have been posting more stuff in Hammer and Bolter than actual novels. If you don't, then I'd say there are about twenty, maybe more maybe less, authors in the pool.

I'd say new thread, especially considering that the old one refers to obsolete Kill-team rules from the old rulebook, rather than tournament rules at Warhammer World. As for authors, that's a decent number, if it doesn't count the one-offs and the retirees.

All separate, or in a series?

All separate, or in a series? I'm saying it because he scowled at me and signed my novels, he's a bloody good writer. And he wrote just one Guard novel. Soul Hunter, Blood Reaver and Void Stalker are a trilogy about the Night Lords, Helsreach is about the Black Templars at Armageddon, the Emperor's Gift is about the Grey Knights and the secret war for Armageddon. The First Heretic is his magnum opus, got him on the New York Times best-seller list. It's a Horus Heresy novel about the Word Bearers.
