Kuroi spun around and stared at Donna in shock. His temper rose rapidly though as he glared akmost dangerously at her "What the &*%$ are you doing here??? What did you follow me.. you should have stayed at the shop!!!" He was upset about Ran, worried about Cain and Kisa, and just plain angry... not a good combination for Donna to stumble upon.

O-Okay... *Kisa nodded obediently and did nothing more. She was lost for words and her voice was leaving her from all of her crying. Kisa looked down at the bracelet her brother had given her before he left Hell for the first time a long time ago and almost had tears form again. She held them back and forced herself to be strong. She had to be strong. She just had to! Then, upon hearing the girl come out of the bushes and seeing Kuroi yelled angrily, Kisa darted behind Nov and hid*

Cain walked over and put his hand on Kuroi's shoulder. "More violence will not solve anything. November is right, raising your voice to this girl elps nothing. It is clear she is in shock to begin with." He wrapped his wings around Kuroi for a moment, giving him a hug inside the privacy of the wings. "Kisa and I shall be alright." he whispered, moving his wings out fo the way.

stressed that's it! i've had ENOUGH! ::still holding Kisa's hand, she marches up to Donna and slaps her:: stop being so selfish! don't you realize that Kouri just lost a very important friend?! Ran's DEAD! stop causing trouble and let us find out why! right now, you're NOT important, get used to it! nothing's going to happen to you, you know why? because if you were ever in any REAL trouble, Kouri would protect you, BUT YOU'RE NOT!

*Kisa noticed how upset Kuroi was, then noticed how Donna got upset too. Then she watched as November walked up and slapped Donna. The words that Nov spoke, yelling at Donna, talking about Ran, level of importance, and everything was just too much. Kisa dropped back down on her knees in a childish fashion and began to cry again*
((Just to let everybody know, Kisa is like the demon equivalent of a 12 year old human))

::wincing, she kneels and wraps her arms around Kisa gently rocking her as she looks up at Donna. she shouldn't have slapped her... or yelled at her... but... November stiffled a sigh:: if you don't believe me then go into that warehouse and see for yourself... but trust me, you'll be happier believing me

Cain sighed. He had never been good at comforting others but now he was being thrust into these situations, over and over. Maybe it would have been better if we'd never come to Earth. He said telepathically to Kuroi. He didn't want to say it in front of November, because he truly did love her. But there was so much tragedy in these people's lives because of he and Ran. If they had disobeyed Satan and not come after Kuroi, it would be better for all of them. Satan would not have done anything to them, he wouldn't do anything to Cain and Cain could have protected Ran. All this pain could have been avoided, Ran and Cain would have still been best friends instead of drifting apart. He would never have felt the need to tell Ran he loved him, and he never would have turned into a girl. Ran wouldn't have been his servant, though he could never say that for sure with the way his uncle was. It was probably how he would have punished Ran for disobeying him. But, Kari-chan would still be alive, and he wouldn't feel like half his soul was missing. He looked up at the sky as tears streamed silently down his cheeks. "Why'd you have to die Ran?" he whispered quietly, even Kuroi would not be able to hear it. "Why'd you have to take him away from me?" Again it was quiet, but he wasn't talking to the sky, but more addressed to his uncle. His fists were clenched but there was no other sign of his anger. He turned and looked at the girl, Donna was it? He walked over to her and picked her up, setting her on her feet. "Stop acting like that over someone you barely knew. You could not have had a clue who he really was, it took me over a hundred years to begin to understand him. Ran was a devil and is under Satan. For all we know, he could have been killed for saving you. That's what I'm trying to find out, but progress is becoming slowed. Kuroi would not let harm come to you, so do not fear. You may come with us if you wish, though I suppose that is more up to Kuroi than me." He turned and walked over to Kisa, taking her from November and once again handing her to Kuroi. "Now be good and go to sleep, we'll be at my apartment soon." he muttered to her, kissing her forehead lightly.
((And, since Ran gave us permission to use his characters if we needed to, here's for Kisa. I'll even post the way Ran does))
*Kisa sniffled and nodded obediantly, wiping her tears away with her arm.* A-alright Cain-sensei.*She turned and buried her tear streaked face in Kuroi's chest, clutching the material of his shirt and still sniffling*
Cain petted her hair and then turned to November, opening his arms for her. If Donna needed a ride he'd probably have to let her ride on his back between his wings. Although, he wasn't sure if she was scared of heights or even how scared of heights November was. He had never really thought about it because he had always been so used to flying.

::seeing Cain taking control, she steps obediantly into his embrace and wraps her arms around his waist to hold on. she wasn't really afraid of heights... she wasn't even afraid of falling... it was the part where she went "splat" during the landing that bothered her. but she trusted Cain not to drop her::

Cain wrapped his arms around her, then leaned down and gave her a brief kiss, using his wings to hide them for a moment. He just needed a minute of peace, because he knew there would be a storm when he went to face his uncle. He had to protect everyone he cared about, this included Kuroi, from any wrath his uncle would have towards himself.
