Oh man, if you are able to, please get some pictures of the Battlewagon sprues and any demo models if those are around, from what I've seen so far the Battlewagon is going to be one kick a** model. I can hardly wait! whee

Oryn
If that's true, then Wazzdakka is going to be the only Ork special character without a model. Frankly, I'd like to see some Flash Gitz before Badrukk and Snikrot. Plastic Gretchin and Nobs are good news though. I wonder if the Deffkoptas are going to get their own box?

No no, old Zoggy as well~

But they'll brobably come out along with the 3rd release wave of the orks.

And I'm sure that the nobz probably can be converted into effective Flash Gitz (just use the plastic ones and add on the guns from the biker kits to them, I think that could work).

There's rumours about boxed Deffkoptas, but if they don't sell them in packaged later on you should just get your hands on 2-3 boxes of the starter sets, and sell the rest of the stuff that you don't need, and/or convert the plastic nobz into flash gits (can be easilly done, I'm thinking of doing that and making a tutorial, simple but tabletop use), but back to the koptas, if you're out for the other equipment just cut and glue big shootas onto it, and if you want a buzzsaw just add the sentinel combat arm.

We can hope that Flash Gitz are going to be added to the list as well, who knows what GW's been working on?

I just have to show this for plain fun~

User Image

Over at the-waaagh there was a contest thingy where you make a model out of a member taken from another thread where they make stats for them, and I chose the member Keg since I found his statline amusing. (they have statlines out of me as well which I also find amusing and I really hope that someone picks me the next time XD )

Here it is:

Keg

Stats: Space Bandit (i.e. Ork Boy)

Wargear: Slugga and Kustom Choppa

Special Rules:

Kustom Choppa: Keg has added a motor and lights to his choppa. Other than making a lot of noise and flashing lights. It doesn't do anything special.

Green behind the ears: Keg is young ork that can barely get a hair squig to stick to his chin. So any unit that Keg joins may not be lead by a Nob as Keg feels he has what it takes to lead the squad.

Brown, Red, Blue, Yellow: Keg has the unusual joy of painting and drawing. Keg makes sure that all vehicles have a shiny new paint job. As such all vehicles get red paint job for free.

'I'll go with dem': Keg can't make up his mind what klan he wants to belong to so at the start of the game but before any movement roll a dice and see what klan Keg belongs to:
1 - Blood Axe= No effect Keg likes single colors and camo has too many colors for his young brain to handle.
2 - Snakebits=Slugga boy mob
3 - Evil Suns= Must be mounted in a vehicle
4 - 5 Deathskullz= Loota mob
6 - Badmoons= Must be mounted in Battlewagon

If a 1 is rolled or none of these squads are in the army, Keg leaves to go find another army that he can join.

Mk so me and my friend went and bought Soulstorm yesterday and spent the first few hours messing around with the different races.
But then decided to do a quick little experiment and created maximum number of slugga boyz and my friend make maximum wyches.

well I thought it would be completely one sided victory for the Orks but it was the other way around, a big hand to hand melee the orks have to win... well at the end all of my orks are dead and he lost only half strength on all of his units so I ask WTF is with the fluff there, I mean wierder things have happend on the Table top but we need some serious rebalancing for that game... Orks are supposed to be one of strongest CQC army in the 40k Universe.

Please, do not compare the computer game with the tabletop game.

Take that kind of talk in the DoW thread.

Just saying I was dissapointed with it, I suppose it was a misplaced post but I figured their would be slight revelance seeing how they didn't do the race justice.

If it's confined only to the tabletop then what are your thoughts on the assault on black reach starter set cause me and my friend are gonna pool some money together and split it up I would take the Orks, he the Marines.
Swells My boyz ranks and get more Nobz and some deff koptas for considerably less than buying them Individualy.

I like the set, I'm going to do the same with a friend (unless I decide to keep it all for myself and keep building on my already existing space marine force)

Though the nobz can be improved from the box... ALOT, the arms that they already have attached are... weird... Try to hold those poses yourself, and they lack power klaws (well duh, it's a starter set so no wonder) and big choppas, but that can be easilly arranged though with some bitz from the boyz boxes and plasticard.

You will get tons of slugga boyz, but adding shoota boyz (2 squads of 20 maybe?) would improve the force since Shootas are needed for ork victory plus it sounds DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA! over the table.

Koptas are always welcome since they probably won't make a multipart set of them, but that's just rumours for now, if we're lucky GW will make some.

The warboss is the best Warboss GW has ever made, and massive! He also works well for any clan with those looks (though I will make some additions to him since I don't want him to look too plain).

At our GW we are having a boss debate.
The objective is to dress/larp up a Boss and debate over why your the biggest and da best boss.

So I'll be grabbing some pink foam and paint to make myself a big choppa and slugga. Being 6'2 255lbs also makes me the tallest and biggest boss for the debate.

The winner gets the first Black Reach and it's free. Hopefully I'll win then I can do some orks, and make marines for my Ecclesiarchy army.

I've been wanting to do orks for a long time but simply didn't have the money or time outside of my Sisters army.

I wanted to do Goffs.

Some smelly Goffs eh?

Nice choice, not many go for Goffs for some reason (could be the smell?)

I got nothing against them buggerz, green, mean and they come in hoards of infantry mobs, ready to hack an' slash in the name of Gork (or possibly Mork).

the smell? no offense but wtf are you talking about?

They are the largest and most aggresive of the orks, similar to black orks of fantasy.

Thraka is a Goff, and his Waaagh is the Goffs.

well the lack of gubbins can be fixed with some sweet love of a hobby knife and mabey even some green stuff. I have some scratch built klaws made from an old F-15 model and hell I'll add the kombi shoota-skorcha from my current boss to the boss from the box set.
Whats the problem with slugga boyz I need allot for Apocalypse matches my ork buddy rely on me for infantry he has the armor (evil sunz player)

If you knew the fluff about Goffs they are smellier than other orks, stick around www.the-waaagh.com for more orkiness~

Also I wouldn't compare them with black orcs (black orcs are the more "civilized" orcs), goff boyz are just ordinairy boyz who prefere a choppa and a slugga infront of a shoota (but that doesn't stop them from using them).

They're not either the largest, but they are the most agressive orks indeed.

And no, Thrakka's WAAAGH! is not Goff only, he started out from a Goff Clan, but his WAAAGH! consists of many tribes and clans, but the heart of it is Goff indeed.

Goffs are the Orks that think themselves toughest and wear black and white armor. They think being an Ork is serious business.

Snakebites don't trust technology and typically only wear natural armor and typically use yellow, red, and white markings.

Bad Moons are the wealthiest clan and use it to buy the best equipment an Ork can buy. They use yellow and sometimes apply black flames.

Deathskulls are the most adept at looting and are scavengers. They typically paint their faces blue ala Braveheart. They believe blue paint makes them lucky.

Blood Axes typically adopt non-Ork strategies picked up from Imperial Guard and Space Marines primarily and are mistrusted by others Orks because of this. They utilize camouflage more so than other Orks.

Evil Suns are obsessed with speed and have a highly mechanized army. They paint everything red with the belief red makes things go faster.

Freebooters are warbands of deserters, mercenaries, and anything not mentioned above that don't fight for a particular clan. Freebooters usually have more Flash Gitz than any other Ork force because most clans can't stand how egotistical the Gitz are and the Gitz get more stuff from their shooters this way, anyway.
