"As previously mentioned," Jay said, a note of slight annoyance in her voice, "I have no intention of becoming part of a fleet but merely starting my own instead. I've got to prove to Dad that I can be a rough pirate and not just your average escape artist. It's either the fleet or Davy Jones' heart. I'll take the fleet, thank ye very much."

"I'm a rough pirate....I'm part of Kibo's fleet. Seriously, it's not that bad. You get good rum, good food, and you never run low on crew. It's not a bad life, definitely easier than trying to go it alone."
Natasha smiled, leaning towards Jay and whispering to her,
"Women are never taken seriously as pirates until they build themselves a reputation. Last I heard I was something like the Red Princess."

"Well should it not, you're welcome to work with me. I am a independent freelancer and next time I storm a ship, you're welcome to take it and then bugger off." Ranu said, eyeing Jaenelle. between them, a swift mental communication was raging.
Dream crossed her arms as she looked at her brother. "Good to see you. I thought you was..." She went silent as he begun to update her. Her eyes glowed slightly as she learned of interesting new weapons for her to impersonate.

"Thank you," Jay said, putting her palms together and nodding at the girl in the fashion of her brother. "As it stands, I'm currently labeled as The Sparrow Who Cannot Fly. Why? Becuase I've no reputation as a pirate yet. Even my own bloody father dosen't think I've got what it takes to command my own ship, much less fleet. And he's mad that I'm allergic to rum," Jay folded her arms and stared at the ground.

"Asking for help and taking a ship will not help my father to realize just how good a pirate will be," Jay said bitterly. "So, I am indeed going to 'turn up my beak at assistance' unless it comes from my father himself."

Kibo: Oh Ranu, don't be so hard on yourself. You don't need help all th time. Only a majority. And Natasha, I believe the last I heard was "Demon Inferna." I guess word's got out we work together. Everyone who worked with me ended up with "Demon" in their aliases eventually. And finally, Jay, I was just stating the terms of an employment. You'd be surprised how frequently the "liberated from the inevitability of death" part will change people's minds.

Savvy, Jaenelle mocked, then looked firmly at Jay, You don't just walk into anything and walk to the top. You start at the bottom and fight for it. Kibo's offering you a second to top place. Ranu offered you a middle place with just a small hop to top place, and I'd offer you a place in nursery until you learn to listen.
Nightmare sighed dramatically behind Jaenelle, dodging the slap he knew would be coming from his sister.

"Port Royale," Ranu said with a sigh, "Is in ruins. I attacked it last week. Right now, I should imagine the Navy are out looking for a ship with French colours." He chuckled softly, "Took one off you, Mr. Botch. Oh, and..." He looked to the girls, "Your best bet is actually anywhere on Haiti. A French ship has higher sea line defense. Just so happens that we are very close to Haiti. A French colonial territory."
