Yeah, apart from the whole thing where Medusa's snakes are poisonous and I don't want to kill of Zephy if I can help it. I mean, in theory they could choose whether to release their venom in the bite, but if they/Medusa feels threatened its more than likely that venom will be a thing that happens. Another way to get out of it would be for Medusa to beg that Malkuth ensure an antidote is distilled from her blood so that Zephy doesn't die, because that isn't what she wanted, it never was, and of course Zephy has to spit fire and yell about not pitying her, but Medusa persists and... yeah.

Ohh. Forgot about her venom. I'm guessing this antidote isn't something that can be made with simple kitchen science, huh? But this makes it easier to write her off, in a way. They send her off to a hospital with a sample if Medusa's blood. And then I can just write that he visits her in the hospital, something happens, he decides not to take her back and just sends her off.
Ooh, and then maybe that can be a segway into her asking if she can get a haircut. You know, in a "I don't want this to happen again, much less to my owner" way.

Ahh, yes perfect. I like the way you think my friend. This is going to be perfect.
Ohmygosh, but what if she just... chops off all her snakes at the base where they turn into hair, and then when Malkuth doesn't hear telltale hissing he asks and she- very embarrassed mind- admits that she chopped them all off. Cause she'd be very emotional about it, and if the snakes realize they're gonna get chopped off, they will bite, and she doesn't want to kill the hairdresser by accident... either way, she'll cry when it happens.

so, butting in here pretending to not be a total stranger please excuse.
anyone want to talk about the most exciting M/s roleplay they've ever been in? :]
Ahhh and then she can get soothing snuggles to comfort her after she admits she cut them off!!!

Most exciting one-person-has-all-the-power RP I ever did was a 1x1 between a mad scientist and his abductee/experiment like... 8-9 years ago, here on Gaia. Loved it. That was the only RP I was in that actually had an end.
But actual master/slave and excitement? I can't say that any of my RPs are so riveting that I would say exciting. I look forward to them and I enjoy them but it's not the same excitement as, say, obtaining a new sewing machine.
...because my hobby is collecting sewing machines, in case I haven't already beat that fact into you yet.
But perhaps that's because I don't get emotional about, like, anything. What about you? What was your most enjoyable RP?

Ahhh, yes, perfect, bless.
Though, we'll need another third to keep the drama going... otherwise its just gonna be daily life and mundane tasks. (which is only interesting for so long)

Hey Mally, just reminding you that I'm on semi-hiatus from today, the third, until the seventh. I might be able to sneak online once or twice, but it'll mostly be static from me until then. See you when I get back!

A few days is nothing. :) You'll have a big, fat, juicy post waiting for you when ya get back.
anyone want to talk about the most exciting M/s roleplay they've ever been in? :]
Ooo I'll join in this convo.
I can't really pick one, since I only take on roleplays that will have an interesting storyline the more the story goes on, and have the possibility of a twist/strange ending. My current favourites are one between Malice and myself in anothet guild, because of the ever growing future plot twists. The other is in this guild, one of the ones between myself and Angela Jade. It's full of side characters, a sub plot, and so many personality clashes it could go anywhere. I don't tend to play violent characters because I am quite passive in real life, so I'm more into a storyline that can twist or turn at any time. I'm the same as Malice; I look forward to my roleplays and replies, but I get the most excitement from my hobby - I cook/bake a lot c:
But all my roleplays are special to me. I've only migrated to the M/S roleplay scene in the last two-three years so I've never been in one long enough to have it evolve far.

woahh haha! nice, that sounds awesome. It's been forever since I was in a roleplay that actually had an end. it's a little weird to think about honestly, that 99.5% of the roleplays we ever start will probably eventually technically 'fail'... not in a bad way, but that is, no matter how fantastic and memorable they might be, chances are they're gonna end with a whimper, not a bang / satisfying conclusion. kind of an odd thought!
pfffft there's a comparison everything can relate to right. : D naw i actually had no idea, that's awesome! i have one sewing machine..... that i've had for years.... and have no idea how to use. ): it intimidates me. i'm trying to sew my own curtains but it's sure taking a while by hand ahahaa.....
but no, i know what you mean. i remember some seriously exciting roleplays, the kind that make your heart ache for hours after writing the last post, where you get so involved that you seriously feel the excitement and the thrills and the adrenaline and shivers and little spikes of inner feels-pain and what have you. there's been some really intense ones. sure, i roleplay stuff that's just 'fun' all the time. it seems like it's been years since i've been involved in something like that, though. : / i miss it.
honestly, i think one of my favorite roleplays (since you broadened the question, thanks for that haha this is easier) i've ever been in was also one of my oldest, that i joined when i was 14ish. (6 years ago!) It was just a dumb high-school scene, and I was a dumb teenager, and so was everyone else... but the relationships all the characters formed with all of eachother ended up getting super intricate and super intense. it's weird how i've been in roleplays with some of the most complex and fascinating storylines and settings that really never went anywhere, but some of the simplest ones just exploded into something amazing. it's all about chemistry i guess.
if we are talking character-in-control vs. character-not-so-much, though, i was involved in a pretty cool sci-fi roleplay, set in future France. i played an elven hacker-burglar (a very alt. version of Tev actually) and a friend played a half-demon assassin. real light(ish) vs. dark, technology vs. magic, etc sort of thing going on. the elf got caught by the assassin on a job where the latter'd been hired as private security, but escaped. the assassin ended up tracking him down and developing this super creepy obsession with him, making him a prisoner in his own home with the intent of uhh pulling him down into the darkness / making him fall in love with him, etc. and it was always hinted that if he failed, he'd sooner kill my elf than let anyone else have him. tev's pretty cleithrophobic too so that.... whole other element of terrifying. he was trying not to go mental after like a day.
tev's straight, so, don't know how that would have ended up. the roleplay ended before things got too complicated in that area. was one of the most exciting and inspiring roleplays i've ever been in though!

nice!! i love it when a roleplay's been going on long enough to gain some momentum and start telling its own story. that's awesome. (:
!!! and ldjfskl. cooking/baking is one of my obsessions too. actually my career too haha so that works out well. i'm a prep cook at a (casualish?) fine dining restaurant.
what're some of your favorite things to make?? sorry i could!! talk food for hourss. have to ask : D
Sorry, I haven't forgotten about you, just getting the motivation to post. Hopefully I'll have one out tomorrow. uwu

so until i get myself into a roleplay i am going to be that person who awkwardly sends out a question once per week so that i don't get kicked for inactivity //3 and also it's completely an excuse to force myself to get to know people maybe which would be totally awesome but is just mildly intimidating to do in a new environment.
SO
relevantly, actually; what do you look for in a slave / master? if it depends entirely on the character you're playing, is there still a type you gravitate towards, or tend to avoid?
i feel like my own preferences differ from most in that regard, so i'm curious what the majority are into. especially as far as slave preferences, because i think masters a little more universal... i haven't yet met someone who didn't like a good at least semi-villainous master.
personally, as far as slaves go, i'm not gonna go for a character thousands of years older than my own. i'm pretty ambivalent to race as well, boring old human is good enough for me. it's all about personality, and that's where i'm fussy. past that, it is all about character preference, and all of my masters have extremely varied tastes. some want classy, educated and obedient, some want wild and as close to unbreakable as possible, others want pure and innocent, and still others just want something unusual and endearing, the oddball of the bunch, something flawed.
as far as masters, let's be honest, i've been there with that completely platonic, totally friendly, sweet, doting, 'i'll take care of you and keep you safe and never do anything to harm or discomfort you in any way' sort of master and i haven't yet met somebody who could make that interesting to me. just my personal preference! (: playing a master is challenging though and i've seen a lot of people struggle with maintaining what was originally intended to be a villainous character... not everybody can embrace that, and I've seen more masters changed by their slaves than vice versa.
Dunno about others, but I welcome your discussion questions. Through questions, I learn more about myself and my preferences. You may end up asking things that I never thought to ask myself.
What kind of partner I look for depends greatly on what character I am looking to pair them with. However, there are some things I noticed...
I avoid characters that are very old. Like... 700+ years. This may seem hypocritical considering I have two characters that are ambiguously in the 1000-1500 range, but.... aren't we all hypocrites in some ways?
I avoid characters that are sooooooooo totally crazy violent and edgy.
I avoid any character that uses the word neko, inu, ookami, or kitsune to describe their species. The exceptions are: if the kitsune character depicted is faithful to the traditional folklore or if the neko is a maneki neko and the profile follows a traditional maneki neko. Otherwise, type in English. Cat. Dog. Wolf. Fox. Seriously.
I avoid characters with names that make me facepalm. Crimsin Nightdrake Silvermoon. Goldyn Skyforest Tourmalyne. Blaze Redfyre Burninator. Vampier Lucius Devel-Bloodbadass.
I avoid gods, deities, offspring of the aforementioned, and major species/characters/whatever from Christianity such as angels/devils/prophets.
Coincidentally, I am RPing with one of Noir's characters who happens to be some kind of angel and I admit, I feel very awkward discussing that aspect of it. I don't know much about Christianity. My thousand-year-characters and their children are named after the biblical first humans (or whatever Adam, Eve, Cain, and Abel are called) but the reason, if anyone cares to know, is: they are Asian immigrants who knew close to nothing about the western world. They were trying to blend in and assimilate with western culture to avoid conflict. Part of assimilation was to take on western names. What better western names to choose than something from the bible? My own Chinese immigrant family did the same thing - they chose their western names from the bible.
I gravitate towards young/child characters.
I gravitate towards serious characters with a funny twist. (E.g. Navashuryn has a character in another guild where an otherwise studious, serious character is cursed and turns into a duck every night)
I gravitate towards touched or unbalanced characters. You know... a little batty, but not in a "lol so violent" way.
This might annoy or anger some people. Please don't be offended. I'm not saying everyone who does the above things is bad in my book. I've just seen too many of them in my search to find someone to fit my eclectic tastes.

Oh gosh, Callie. Remember Callie? God, I loved playing Callie.
oh sweet, I'm glad!! then i don't feel quite so awkward about it knowing there's at least one person out there who likes them. : D
and right?? i was worried about offending people too haha. but we all have different tastes, and every type people like to play, there's somebody out there who wants to play with that.
except for vampier lucius devel-bloodbadass nobody has to ever play with them plz
but yeah variety being awesome and all that. you know what would actually be really cool, and i know that's not the way things are run around here but just saying, is to play in a roleplay with a household with multiple masters, all living together for some reason. you'd have your own platonically-significant other, but then potentially everybody else in the house to form dynamics with as well. mix everything up, and a sure-fire way to avoid that problem these kinds of roleplays so often have of going kind of stir-crazy, with just a one-on-one thing going on. a little peer influence might be interesting for the masters and slaves both, and there's so many scenes of that sort that you can only pull in a group setting.
of course, the more players you've got in a thread, the more people you've got to wait for, but i imagine few scenes would involve more than three players, so you'd have lots of things going on at once at different speeds..
iiiidk just throwing it out there. feel it's a little forward to suggest something like that when i haven't even been involved in a roleplay on here yet, only really thought of it just now as i was typing. and not sure if it's even something that would be okayed on this guild, but curious if anyone might be interested? and i suppose ideally most players involved would probably each have one master and one slave, to keep things nice and balanced.
anyway
pretty much with you on most of the above regarding what you avoid, too. I think the oldest character I've ever played was in their 60s, though... I don't feel like I could pull off anything much older. I'm one of those obsessive players that really likes to know as freakily much of their characters' entire lives as possible -- the idea of filling in a few hundred years worth of gapless backstory makes me cry and forget to breathe inside 3 ahaha
