After an hour of recess, everyone began returning to the huge stadium-like courtroom.
The judge cleared his throat, "We shall continue this trial. I call forth... Jewel The Hedgehog. Former slave of Shadow the Hedgehog. Please sit at the stand."

jewel frowns shivering slightly as she gets up and does as she is asked as she sits but looks down slightly. jewel stays quiet trying to remain calm, as she waits for questions to start being asked

The judge spoke, "So you used to be Eggman's slave. Which is really surprising since any of Eggman's slaves does not cooperate with him would be instantly killed... but since Shadow came in and took you in, things became really confusing... What exactly happened?"

jewel takes a few breaths in and out trying not to think about those days to much " um.. yes I was eggmans slave.. and I'm still confused as to why shadow took me as a slave when, he was told to get rid of me." jewel swallows slightly " and yes.. everything was confusing...um he didn't uh well seem like he wanted me dead.. I tried to ask but never recieved an answer...he did at least get me clothing and food other then bread....I really... don't think he ment for eggman to attack that lake..." jewels ears go down slightly " he told me it was the only place left with fresh water and greenery... and thathe never told eggman about it...eggman m-must have put a tracker or something in my collar..."

Someone from the audience shouted, "She's only protecting him! Let him die!"
The Judge shouted, "ORDER!" He pounded on his mallet. He then stared at Jewel, "Very confusing indeed..." He stared at Shadow, "What do you have to saw about these actions and behaviors?"
Shadow glared at Jewel then looked away, "...."
Sonic stood up, "You have your victim and told you about her experiences there... shouldn't that be enough?"
The judge nodded, "Unfortunately, not exactly enough. I don't know if she could be telling the truth even if she is."

jewels ears go back when someone shouted as she get a little mad being accused " I'm not a liar! " jewel shouted getting up having her ears back " you all want him dead but what will that do! it won't bring back my mother and father or the people who are still in the slave camps!" jewel shouted

"Hmmmm... well I have no choice... I hereby sentence Shadow The Hedgehog life in the labs, where scientists can use him for experiments. The pain he will suffer there can equal the pain all of our families and the rest of those taken to slavery. Case dismissed..." The judge said, banging his mallet.
The audience all shouted in cheer and even anger.

"Nothing we could do in the first place..." Sonic shrugged, "I'm sure you were truthful but... none of these people would believe us.."
Shadow was being taken away by the police guards, handcuffed and everything to not allow him to get away.

jewle sighs " guess, I'm by myelf. um t-thank you for tryign to help.. I better go now...." jewel said with her ears down not liking that she had a part in someone being treated like something with no soul or feelings. as jewel starts to leave trying to beat the crowds sence a few of them were rude to jewle when she first arived

Sonic ran after Jewel, "Hey! Wait! Let me take you to your place." He said.

In the mean time, Shadow was taken to a lab. He was thrown into a cell and locked up inside. The hedgehog just stood, not knowing what they will do.
"Thank you. We shall use him well..." A scientist said and walked up to the cell. A few other scientists walked up behind the scientist, holding syringes, knifes, and so on.
"We can finally start our experiments...."
Shadow's eyes widened and began stepping back.
