"They've gotten some new toys since last time." The Hatake whispered to himself as he watched the black boxes eat through the sand wall that Knives had summoned forth.
But as a new round of Senbon bearing marbles came flying beyond the remnants of the sand fortification they would meet the chain of barriers created by the ANBU, the mixture of interference and non-interference barriers would pick out many of the projectiles, and those that managed to thread the needle would land against the twin barriers placed ten feet in front of Masahiro in the Crevice itself. The jounin all the while remained calm and sat in a contemplative, almost meditative stance as he watched the battlefield beginning to open up in front of them. The vehicles swerved and danced in the sand to avoid the heat, and many seemed to take damage from it. Then it hit him, even if they could mitigate the direct force of the chakra, they couldn't mitigate the causative effects.
"Okay, revision to battle strategy. Our opponents are weak to causative effects of our jutsu. If you can boil them or freeze them out of their husks they cannot mitigate that kind of abuse. Also, their shielding is good for only one action before it necessitates a recharge. If you can flash two consecutive abilities upon them before they can recharge they can't defend against the secondary affects." The Hatake called out to his allies.
"We need a wide area effect, immediately, if we drop all of their shielding at once the rest of us can drop them in cleanup actions. The Mortars are for shock and awe, as long as they keep firing technical shells we should be able to mitigate explosive force as long as we keep the normality seal up. But anyone relying on weapons who hasn't drawn them is currently out of luck." He finished, turning to look around.
"Just a minute more and I can get back in the fight." He whispered to himself.

Upon leaving the village behind her and walking out the gate her eyes went wide as to what she saw. People of this village were attacking it and everything began to click within her mind. That's why they were evacuating everyone as well as grabbing the real shinobi of this village. Gritting her teeth she closed her hands into fists and squeezed them tightly. Her golden eyes narrowing upon those who she deemed as her prey. She made a single hand sign as she walked in front of the allied forces. With this hand sign an entire pingo of iron sand was created in front of them. To astonish most people who know of Satetsu users they would notice that she didn't even use equal exchange for this iron sand. While blocking their view as well as producing shade from the group she sighed softly and began to think about how to do this. As the mass of iron sand was around two thousand feet while being two hundred and thirty feet tall. Giving her a vast amount of iron sand to work with. Placing her hand on the enormous iron sand creation which stood slightly higher than two hundred and thirty feet she began to concentrate. Uncertainty overwhelmed her as she had never been in combat before other than what happened this morning. Nor had she used this bloodline to this extent or even efficiently.
Was this fear stopping her from moving forward with this? Stopping her from attacking the enemy that was threatening the ones who saved her? Gritting her teeth at the memory of what happened she let out an almost feral shout to push her forward. Leaving iron sand around her to fill up a house she moved the rest of it forward. Bending it and making it take shape as she stood tall and proud. As if she were an iron wall she didn't move in the slightest as she would be damned if she backed down. Concentrating further upon the iron sands she formed two astonishingly large dragons. Her golden eyes focused on the aerial enemies before her. Then as she realized something that would be more effective she caused the two iron sand dragons to break down into hundreds of gargoyles flying through the area. The gargoyles began to attack the fleet by landing on them and tearing through their ship, swinging their mighty axes down upon the ships, or even by smashing their bodies into the ships as if they were performing a kamikaze.

Kaori and Nova watched as Knives threw up a sand barrier the likes of which they had never seen, it was magnificent, but had to take a lot of power and control to maintain. Kaori shook her head and looked on as James, and his clones, created geysers that caused severe burns to anyone unlucky enough to be close enough to suffer them. She sighed and looked at Nova. They rested for the few moments before they wall fell. When it did, they jumped to attention, claws and fangs bared,
"Our first kill, I'm keeping a finger. Or an arm." Nova growled as she used her tail to form more seals. Kaori recognized the seals Nova was weaving and pulled out several shuriken and threw them. The instant they left her fingertips, Nova blew flames onto the metal projectiles. Once Kaori had thrown the shuriken, she weaved her own hand signs and watched as the earth in front of her turned to mud. She then made the needed hand signs for another doton jutsu. This time the mud in front of her shifted and changed into the form of a dragon. This dragon then spewed out mud projectile after projectile. The projectiles from the earth dragon hit two at a time, with Kaori's metal direction. Tamer and partner then dashed together after the UHV. Anyone who got to close would be met with claws and fangs. Kaori ripped the armor off of UHV after UHV. If she could get her hands on them, she tore into them like the tiger she raised and was partnered with. Nova herself roared as she tore into the de-armored UHV members Kaori left for her. The two worked together, one little ferocious unit of death and dismemberment.

Out of the summoning seal would appear Bast and a Daichi clone. The clone would smile at the real Daichi and wink. Then give Bast an S rank amount of their chakra. It would then shoot off a lightning wave out of its mouth heading for the army. It would smile once again before charging its chakra and doing signs with its ears. The sky opened up above the UHV and a sphere of clouds, about 14 ft in diameter, descended. Once it touched the ground it exploded and everything in a 90 ft radius was hit by giant bolts of lightning. Daichi looked at his clone, he hadn't even made one where had it come from? He just grumbled and to direct the lightning wave it had thrown he created a swamp underneath the UHV.

As the UHV attack began, Theodin was thinking of how he’d retaliate as he watched the enemy’s technology manage to break through the sand wall that Knives had built. Suddenly something caught his eye: a girl was walking through the lines, heading towards the UHV forces. He’d never seen her around before, so assumed she was probably a genin; what the heck was a genin doing walking calmly into battle, he thought to himself before going wide-eyed for a moment when the girl called up a massive amount of iron sand and created an army of gargoyles that began attacking the UHV planes and gliders.
Diving off the wall, Theodin raced through the air to cover this crazy, yet powerful girl. Landing next to her he formed another clone which immediately performed a few handsigns and threw up a barrier (non-interference) to cover them. “What the hell are you thinking, just walking out into the middle of the battle like this?!” he yelled to her over the deafening roar of combat. “You must be incredibly brave…or incredibly stupid.” The distraction of this girl did nothing to deter Theo’s bloodlust though, and he quickly twitched his fingers to send a wave of lighting through the enemy forces, to impact their shields. As his fingers finished the twitch he flew into a series of handsigns, unleashing a tidal wave of ice pulled from his father’s water spring to tear through the ground forces, freezing them solid as they would be blasted back, toppling over one another.
Meanwhile, The first clone of Theodin was still sitting motionless in the shadow of the village walls, building up sage chakra. It felt like it was nearly ready to release and send the energy to its original.

Bast's roleplaying style changed as some handsome figure helped to point her in the right direction. Had she been forced to appear instead of it being willingly, Bast would have been in a terrible mood--if she ever had a mood that wasn't slightly considered as terrible in the first place. Looking out through her goggles, she adjusted them just enough to get a good look at all of the swarming flies... I mean people. Yes, people, that belonged to the UHV overhead. They had interrupted her iced lemonade and crumpets time with the Daichi clone, for what now? "I'm bored. Are there any more than this," Bast questioned, forming a few handsigns when the Daichi clone handed over some chakra. These amounts of enemies were more manageable on a daily basis than what one of her other family members, Zyonu, accidently creates every single day. Her chakra mingled whole with the technique given from the clone, and it looked as if nothing happened after the last handsign. Straightening up, Bast took out a water canteen, taking a few sips from the non-tea laden swill: It would be a little while until the effects began.

James looked at the oncoming army and smiled, so they had some new ideas huh, well James had a few of his own ideas.
The real James would make some quick handseals, and two more water clones would appear as all as one, dodgeing through the fire with James highly trained reflexes, the clones would dash forward into the breach, ahead of the other ninja and literally into the middle of the onrushing hoard, spread out 40m apart across the gap in Knives giant sand wall, the clones would spew forth a thick purple mist to form one giant mist cloud filling the gap, obscuring vision, but holding a far more sinister use.
The mist was a technique James had learned on a very special trip to Rouran, and was one of the most deadly toxins ever known by mankind. Any of the UHV who breathed the gas would have only moments to be treated by a medical professional or die a horrible and painful death.
"Suna nin! Avoid the purple mist or put on gas mask."
James would call it out as the seal on his forehead flashed, and watch to see how many died. He also watched the wind to make sure it wouldn't blow back on the village.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, they cling to the realm or the gods or love. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.
"Well that looks like some fun stuff you got there James." Knives laughed pulling up his cowl in the best mask he could to prevent accidental inhalation almost like a mad man before gathering his own chakra to create a clone of himself as he kept his own focus on the sand to keep it as intact as possible. All he had to do was nod at his clone who ran towards the cannons on the crevice and loaded the cannons with large enough projectiles before launching the now flaming earth from the cannons. With that amount of power it didn't need to be pinpoint accurate, not to mention the targets were either large or all over the place in the UHV armada, not to mention he recognized the shields, and he only needed enough firepower to damage them so the others could bring in a second attack before they could recharge themselves.
The clone over heard The Hatake and chuckled just before the shot(s) were fired from the cannons. "You want a wide area effect, well boss you're about to get one."
An outlaw walking through the valley of men glared with a sunken eye of death moved his head from side to side and said come on you gutless slugs fight like a man state your name and business and let's see what you got another body for the hangman's count show me the bar, and show me the cards

The Monster of the Mist
The senbon landed, then detonated. Each one spewed forth an ungodly amount of lava, enough to completely coat the Crevice in moments and prevent anyone from exiting on the ground until it was cooled. There would be hardly any time to think: In rapid succession, a large number of the black boxes would impact the sand overhead and create a field of strange green energy, then two mortars would fall clean through the hole in the Sky Sand Protective Wall. The first mortar would fall to the ground and do nothing, but the second one detonated while still in the energy field of the black boxes and rained down needles identical to the ones that had just coated the Crevice in lava, this time peppering the area from above. If these bombs landed, the area would quickly become uninhabitable. Next came a brief volley of metal cylinders from some heavy-looking flying machines that shot over the gap in the sand. These canisters would fall into the lava, and, unable to detonate on time, would explode moments later and send a thick, choking artificial smoke rolling through the area.
Kaori and Nova would manage to hit a few of the UHV that were low to the ground with their projectile barrage, totaling about five downed vehicles, but would have difficulties catching any of the others on foot. These low-hanging fruits were incredibly fast, but their vehicles went down easily if they were hit. Kaiju's gargoyles would approach many of the flying vehicles, but before they could do any damage, the UHV's shields would flare up and disperse them. This, unfortunately for the pilots, left a fine cloud of iron sand that obscured their vision, forcing them to circle around until they were free of it. Daichi's Lightning Wave would eat through the shields of many of the UHV on the ground, and the Descent of Shina--combined with Bast's doings--would be intercepted by the fleet overhead. The initial blast would take out a very large number of shields, and it would almost seem as if the cloud left behind were sucked in to the air vents of the vehicles. Theodin's Lightning Wave would drain the shields of the few remaining ground-based vehicles and the sudden creation of a field of ice would throw them into disarray, several of them crashing and sending their inhabitants flying into the swamp that the other Daichi had created. The rest did not fare too well in the poisonous mist released by James, though anyone who had left the Crevice to fight closer to the UHV would now be in danger of breathing in the same toxin.
The cannons would go off with a boom like a crack of thunder. Moments later, 25 ships would plummet from the sky, and not small ones, either: almost as if there were someone behind the scenes rolling dice to determine the outcomes of the siege, Knives had scored a critical hit with his cannons, then seemingly critted every roll to determine what he had hit. He downed all twenty of some of the largest ships in the fleet, then damaged one of the two largest visible ships, striking one of its wings and causing it to drift very slowly to the side.
Mortars hit: - Gates. - VOID HQ (no damage). - Eternal Rain Forest. - Fountain (no damage). - Ayame's House (no damage). - Library (no damage). - Miyamoto Residence (no damage).
As the item burst and the lava began to spew forth from it the Hatake made quick measures and abandoned his defensive position just as the twin barriers the ANBU had laid for him gave way, seeing only moments to act. A stark white bolt of lightning could be seen darting up and out of the crevice, directly into the sky just above the wall on which Knives stood. Precious seconds passed and the lightning bolt broke, revealing the human form of Masahiro. Falling downward the jounin took a few moments of contemplative thought as he watched the battlefield unfold below. From here he had a good perception of all things, but the gateway itself was not as easily defensible, then again, they filled it with magma, making it a lost cause for either side at the moment.
As he continued his fall that's when he felt it, the heat on his arms, as he looked down to them he saw the smoldering remnants of his sleeves as the high pressure and winds forced the flames out. Reaching up with the opposing arms he would rip the sleeves from his garment to fall to the world below as he fell to the wall beside knives, rolling to mitigate any falling damage. He managed to sustain some bruises and a couple scrapes from the stony surface, but as he came to stand he looked at Knives, then the green boxes. He shook himself off slightly.
"Those things are our biggest concern. I need you to throw me at one of them before you fire the cannons again. Once I'm on one I can start jumping from one to the other to take them out with my blade." Masahiro stated as he placed his hand on the handle of his Tachi.
Despite the crevice being blocked, one could just as easily climb the wall with basic tree climbing techniques. Kaolin arrived at the top just in time to overhear the white haired shinobi from earlier who was ordering ANBU talking with another superior ninja. He walked up to them, "Hey! I myself can't do anything about the current situation...but at the very least please take my blade with you!" Kaolin passed it over to Masahiro, the disappointment in himself was showing in his expression. He badly wanted to participate, along with his partner Mangix who was riding on his shoulders, but sadly they were genin in training. Act of Tree Climbing - C (twas a tall wall)

I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection.
Kaori heard James shout about the mist he'd created and instantly held her breath, she found Nova and smirked, Nova had a little trick up her paw. Nova used her tail to make the appropriate signs to activate the jutsu. Nova knelt down and Kaori hopped onto her back. They then rose from the ground and worked together to avoid all the lightning and ice, and everything else that their fellow Suna nin were throwing around. Once out of the range of the deadly gas in the air. Kaori took several clean, deep, breaths of air. They saw Theodin and an unknown nin, but he was covering her, so she couldn't be one of the enemy. She had Nova dive down to them and hopped off of her back,
"Hey Theodin, who's our friend here?"She asked as she took a quick breather and tried to think of something, "How about a dive bomb attack? They aren't going to be expecting a flying tiger and her tamer." Nova rumbled as she floated there. Kaori looked at the gargoyles that the girl had created and got a look in her eyes that was more often seen in Nova's, "One of those could hold me, right?" Kaori asked as she flexed her clawed hands and snapped her jaws together, as if already feeling flesh in her grip and jaws.
Jutsu Used ~ Nova: Tandokuhikou [ Solo Flight ] - A Rank Jutsu Used ~ Kaori:

As she saw the shields defend against her gargoyles she growled viciously. She wasn't going to allow this to stand and even as another shinobi yelled at her she was only concerned with their slaughter. She didn't care what rank she was or even how the village felt about her. This was the UVH that they were dealing with. These were the members who assisted the Jashinists to take away her entire life. She was going to make every one of them suffer. As the iron sand began to fall to the ground she fomed a massive wave of iron sand and made it soar high into the sky. As they reached a certain altitude she had it idle fall back towards the ships.
Then as someone approached her she used the remaining iron sand to form an enormous gargoyle. The gargoyle grabbed Kaori and flew up to the sky grabbing the tiger as well. The gargoyle eventually simply listened to where Kaori wanted to go. After that she focused upon the iron sand that was above the fleet. As they corrected their flight she growled mightily and raised her hands in the air. Then throwing the mass of iron sand down she formed tens of thousands of iron rods all twelve feet long. Each one was at a varied elevation however they would hit all of the ships among the fleet. She was seeking to take all of them out at the same time. A specific rod that was thicker than most would aim at the c**k pit of the ships. Followed by five other rods
Should the ships fall from her attack they would crash into the ground forces. This would cause further carnage among the UVH forces. After colliding with the ground the iron sand would then be manipulated to hit the fleet from underneath to make sure the damage was done. Upon falling back down to the ground the iron rods would fall upon the ground forces in attempt to take out two birds with one stone.

Theodin watched as the jutsu used by him and is fellow Suna-nin tore through the enemy forces, smiling sinisterly. When Kaori showed up riding through the sky on Nova, asking who the girl he was protecting was, he shrugged, “I really don’t know, I’m assuming a genin, and she’s obviously a satetsu.” When she mentioned a divebomb, Theo nodded, “Sounds good, here, take some of my chakra to add to it.” And transferred a B rank of chakra to Kaori.
Turning back towards the battle, Theodin heard the girl next to him growl as she lifted her huge amount of iron sand into the air, forming tens of thousands of rods and launching them own at the enemy. Thinking quickly, Theodin twitched his fingers to send a small lightning wave at the UHV shields to disrupt them before the girl’s iron rods made contact. He then focused more chakra and sent a bigger wave at the iron sand, aiming to electrify the rods to further damage the UHV forces
Meanwhile, the clone by the village wall had been collecting sage chakra the whole time and felt like it’d collected enough to be of use, so prepared to release to send the chakra to its original.
