"Should have left it on there then," Taki mumbled to himself before giving Fayina a half grin, "And that's not true. I'm not pessimistic, i'm realistic."


Kia sighed and shook her head. "What do you mean by 'that time'? I've been serious since you got back."

She looked at Brooklyn for a moment before looking at the other four. "So, any of you hungry as well?" she asked raising an eyebrow.

Bryan blinked sleepily at her before shrugging. "Meh..."

"Maybe, a little," Tala said shrugging. He thought for a moment, "Ok now that i think about it yes. Guess everything that's been going on just kind of distracted me from it."

Kia nodded before looking at the Kai's.

Ralef nodded as he watched Lee be dragged of. "Excellent," he stated, "Now that he's out of the way."

He turned to look at the soldier carrying Rei and, more specifically, the boy himself.

He crouched so he could look at Rei's unconscious face and patted a cheek.

"Now," he began, looking down at Driggers disc, "It's just a matter of transferring the spirit into your hands."

Taki shrugged with his good shoulder and stared off blankly towards the other group.

"Nyeh," he offered, "i really doubt your logic about my arm."

He turned back and gave her a grin. "Besides, it doesn't worry me, honestly. We have more important things to worry about at the moemnt. And besides, who needs two arms? I've got another one," he stated and flapped his good arm.

Kia blinked at the Kais before shaking her head and turning to Brooklyn.

i wonder if they - he - was like this before he was split. or maybe that did something to his sanity levels?

"Um, I'm sure we could find something around here," she offered. "Well, maybe not here exactly but you know... in a kitchen somewhere...," she trailed off before looking around the room, searching for someone, anyone.

So much with getting on with things.

"So you all fine with eating something and THEN comming back here to, well start the assualt?" she asked over her shoulder.

Bryan yawned. Tala nodded before watching the Kais.

Ralef's eyes snapped up from the disc to look at Sonia.

"It would help if i knew how they were transferred from one person to another in the first place," he said and look at Rei.

"I have a feeling that he needs to be awake for it. So this is no good until the kid wakes up."

He narrowed his eyes at the guards holding Rei. They may have only knocked Rei out to control him but it wasn't helping matters now.

Taki smirked. "Pff, i don't think that will be a problem," he said quietly, "She can't watch me the whole time."

Kia rolled her eyes at the group behind her before spotting the guy she was looking for.

"Ah! That's who i was looking for," she exclaimed before walking off.

Bryan blinked after her, finally aware of what was happening around him.

"Where's she off to?" he asked warily.

Tala opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by Kia, or rather the person with Kia.

"Whooo," he managed to get out.

Kia smiled and motioned to the person next to her. The person next to her was a very tall, dark haired, dark eyed man. Bryan and Tala tilted their heads to look up. Bryan's eyebrows shot up. Not someone he wanted to meet in a dark alley.

"This," she started, "is Stan. Stan is going to take you to food. i think you should be pretty safe with him"

Stan kind of looked down and them and grunted. Tala blinked up at him before turning to Kia with a puzzled look. She just smiled.

"I'm going to keep an eye on the animal over there," she pointed to taki with her thumb, "I'll see you when you guys get back." She turned, gave a nod to Stan and then walked over to Taki and Fayina.

Stan looked down at the group for a moment before turning and walking away, uttering one word. "Come."

Ilya and Dem looked up from where they had been lounging around on the desks. They blinked up at their boss for a moment before scrambling to attendence.

They saluted Borise before proceeding.

"There's been no movement from the resistence yet, Sir," Ilya stated, "it looks like they're still waiting for the right opportunity."

Ralef watched on blankly as the blonde slapped the raven haired teen. It didn't bother him at all, it seemed. If this would make the teen wake up sooner than all the better.

Besides, it looked like Sonia was enjoying herself.

Ralef blinked and looked down at Driggers disc, absently noticing that the disc glowed and got slightly warmer each time that Sonia hit Rei.

Taki looked up when Fayina started talking to Kia.

"Pff, don't listen to her," he said, "just get a sling for it and it'll be as good as new." he flicked his still arm for emphasis. It didn't move.

He ran a hand through his hair and gave her a half grin. "Well, it will keep it out of the way at least."

"Taki," Kia muttered nad gave him a sad look.

He blinked a few times before shrinking back and muttering to himself quietly, "Ok, ok, i know when i should stop joking around..."

Kia shook her head before turning to Fayina. "I know he needs that but we just can't do it with the little time we have. i can't risk sending him out now either. He'll just have to stay out of the way," she gave Taki a pointed look, "until we're able to do that."

She smiled slightly. "Besides, the guys supposedly invincible, i know he'll be able to hold up for a little while longer."

Taki grinned to himself.

Bryan raised an eyebrow and looked down at brooklyn as they began to follow Stan.

"You'll be fine," he reassured the orange haired teen. "I'm sure he won't eat us."

Tala nodded to Kai before starting to follow as well. "She doesn't take any risks with, er, protection does she?" he asked while looking at Stan.

If Stan could hear anything that was being said behind him, he chose to ignore it, instead continuing to lead them towards another door leading out of the room.

"We're monitoring every possible escape route for them," Ilya informed, "But it's hard to cover everything. A number of the security cameras aren't working in that area. They could slip by with out any notice."

"If they want to make a large advance they have to go through monitored areas," Dem added, "for now, they still appear inactive."

Ralef watched on absently. Waiting for the teen to fully awaken before he started anything.

Yulia, still near the door watched on, stunned. She knew the Biovolt was rough with its soldiers but she wasn't use to actually seeing it.

((aye that's who i meant - i was THINKING about sonia when i wrote that... lol - sorry - i'm such a ditz sometimes... oh and taki and kia alone? no ulterior motive there? hmm?))

Kia smiled after Fayina as she walked away. Taki was looking at the ground, making patterns with his finger. Kia sighed.

"Taki-"

"If your going to say something about the resistence movement and me staying in the back out of the way you can forget about it," he looked up to meet her eyes, "'cos i'm not going to. The only way i can help you is if i'm fighting up there right along with you." He finished and started to stand up.

"Taki-" Kia started again.

"And don't say anything about the arm, ok? even if i did get it seen too i'd probably just go out and get it injured again," He straightened up and looked down at her, "Trust me, it's better if we just leave it and worry about this whole mess first, my arm is less important than everyone who wants to get out of here with their lives," he took a step forward so that they were closer and dropped his voice, "Please Kia, don't make me sit this one out. It's too important."

She shook her head slightly. "But, Fayina will kill you," she said softly.

He rolled his eyes. "I think her exact words were 'you can't die' so as long as i don't die i'll be fine," he explained. He lifted his good hand up and cupped her cheek, "I'll be fine. i may act like an idiotic fool sometimes but i know what i'm doing. I owe Kai anyway. And i have to make sure you don't die one me." He grinned down at her.

Kia leaned into his hand while staring up at him. it was rather unnerving to have both of his eyes on her. She was just used to seeing the pale one, but now she had his dark blue eye staring down as well. She sighed.

"Fine, Taki. But you can't get in the way. I know your not stupid enough to do something that will get yourself killed but i don't want you to injure that arm anymore, got it? Your not going to get into any heavy fighting, that's for sure. I'm still your commanding officer so you better not disobey me," she threatened.

Taki grinned, not at all worried by the threat. "That's my girl," he whispered, leaning down and kissing her on the forehead.

Kia sincerely hoped he would listen to her for once.

Bryan chuckled. "You''ll be fine. As long as i'm around, i promise he won't eat you."

Tala shrugged. "I feel like noodles," he addmitted.

Stan stopped when he got to a door and opened it. It lead to a dark hallway, only just barely lit by lights near the floor.

"We have to go this way, in secret, or the rest of Biovolt may find out we're up to something," Stan said before heading down the hallway.

Bryan raised an eyebrow. "It's just one dark hallway after another..."

Ilya and Dem nodded. "We're on it Sir," the blonde said before trurning to his computer and tapping a few keys.

Dem moved back to his slowly and proceeded to do the same thing.

~

Ralef took a step forward to be closer to the raven haired boy. He took a few moments to look over Rei before he started talking. He turned to Sonia.

"i don't know how successful this will be. I don't have much experience with sacred spirits."

He turned back to Rei and held out his hand, offering him Drigger's disc.

"Take it boy. Lets see if the spirit lets you command it."

Taki straightened up and walked past Kia. "Well, now that's out of the way, did i miss anything while i was being whined at about my arm?"

He looked around and muttered under his breath, "I should just chop the god damn thing of myself."

Kia blinked for a moment before coming to her senses. She turned around and trailed after Taki. "Taki! Don't strain that arm too much. Don't you think you should sit down?"

Taki moved his mouth as she spoke, silently mocking the brunette. He turned around and grinned.

"I think i may have said this before, you can't get rid of me that easily. So where'd the band of merry men get off to?"

Kia blinked again and shook her head. "I sent them off with Stan. They were hungry or something," she said.

Taki raised his eyebrows ."Stan, eh?"he said and let out a low whistle.

Bryan shrugged. "It's Biovolt?" he offered.

Tala blinked at the question before turning his head to the side and mumbling something.

"No," stan said bluntly, "but resistence movements and outsiders are. Biovolt knows about you, do you think they would be sit idly by and watch you rummage through a fridge before disappearing again? i think not. Use that tiny brain to think for once little man."

Bryan smirked and muttered to Brooklyn, "i like him already."

Ilya made a final check on his monitor before turning to Boris. "All key areas are on screen. Nothing suspicious yet. I'll get onto the soldiers and a large room pronto," he said before getting up and moving to another computer. He brought up a map of Biovolt to find the largest room and the phone nearest him to contact the head officers.

Dem exited out of his monitoring screen and went back into the archives. "I haven't found out about any other spirits but that's nothing a search won't fix."

Ralef stared at Rei. "I don't know, genius, maybe try and call the spirit out will work? i'm not the one holding the disk, sunshine," he said rather snappishly.

Taki flinched at the sight of Fayina and he proceeded to sit back down onthe floor.

Kia looked down at thim and frowned. "All that standing up and sitting back down harshly can't be good for you, dog boy."

Taki gave her an incredulous look. "Woof," he said blankly.

Kia just smirked. Taki rolled his eyes.

Tala turned to Kai. "Nothing," he said.

Bryan nodded.

Stan continued walking thorugh the dark. Noticing the lack of come back, he nodded to himself.

"Good, continue using that brain," he said before stopping and feeling along the wall, searching for a handle.

The blonde blinked before nodding. "I'm on it."

He started by calling Ralef's labs first.

~

The disc in Rei's hands glowed slightly and warmed up gradualy. Drigger let a soft growl rumble through Rei's head but refused to do anything else.

He was answering the teen but refused to be commanded by those orders.

Yulia looked up from her place near the door when Ralef's phone began to ring. She blinked a couple of times before quickly walking over to answer it.

"Hello?"

She listened to Ilya on the other end before looking over to Ralef. "Sir! it's for you."

Ralef turned on his heel to regard the girl and the phone a moment. He decided to see what the fuss was about eventually and walked over to take the phone, listening to Ilya's request.

Taki watched fayina go, pulling a face at her back. Kia rolled her eyes and kicked is leg slightly.

"Act your age."

Taki turned his eyes back to Kia and smirked. "You do know that acting my age would involve you an-ow!"

He rubbed his shin with his good hand and glared up at the girl, who glared back.

"And behave yourself," she ordered, "When that lot get back we'll have to start moving."

Taki brightened up. "Yay!"

"Ahem." Kia raised an eyebrow

"I mean, yay," he added blankly. "You know what would be good? A sling for this arm."

Kia blinked. "A sling?"

Stan ignored the boy behind him as he found the door handle. He opened the door slowly and peered in.

The room was empty. He opened the door fully and walked in. It appeared to be a small kitchen/lunch room of sorts. Luckily, the camera's had stopped working in here.

Tala raised an eyebrow and folded his arms. "I said i was fine, you don't need to interrogate me. And i'm so sorry the worrying about someone i love prevents me from eating properly!" he hissed.

Dem nodded to Boris as Ilya was still busy on the phone.

"Yes, that's right. Boris wants you in the briefing room," the blonde said over the phone. There was a twinkle in his eye before he continued, "Ralef! get those thoughts out of your head, when i said wants you i didn't mean anything peverted by it. Oh and bring Rei when your finished. oh and Ralef? Did you enjoy the show the noodle gang put on?"

Ilya pulled the phone away from his ear and blinked at it before setting it down and snickering.

"I don't think he likes me," he said.

Dem rolled his eyes. "Who would like you?"

The blonde turned around and put on his best puppy dog eyes. "Y-you mean you h-hate me too?"

Dem blinked at the blonde. He sighed and went back to his computer. Ilya smirked and went back to ringing people.

Yulia pointed towards the ceiling, hoping that sonia would understand it to be order's from the control room, or upstairs.

Ralef glared at the phone as he slammed it down. He stormed back out to where Rei was and glared.

"Hurry up, boy, we have a meeting in the breifing room with Boris," he snapped angrily.

The disk in Rei's hand glowed brighter and drigger let out a growl as he appeared.

he was more upset with the way Ralef was talking to Rei than the fact that Rei was ordering him, but what the teen didn't know wouldn't hurt him.

Ralef blinked and nodded. "Excellent. Lets go." he truned on his heel and headed towards the exit.

Drigger growled at his back.
