Regal de Corps

"Regal de Corps." She said simply though with a reluctant shrug.
"And shall I call you the Mysterious Zany Adventurer?" She teased.
Glancing over her shoulder, she noted that Emma had returned with a beautiful flash. Regal loved being surrounded by the magic and unseen forces of nature and felt comfortable for the first time among them.

Question looked at Emma. "Nice entrance." He returned his focus to Regal. "Nice name. My name is Grey, but everyone calls me Doctor Question." Question wasn't sure if he should have disclosed with his real name, but he saw no harm in it.

"Which would do you prefer?" She asked quietly. The smell of his blood wafted her direction and she smiled almost like an after thought left unspoken.

"Honestly, I wouldn't even mind if you called me the Mysterious Zany Adventurer. You can decide for yourself what you want to call me, mademoiselle." He finished his coffee and set the mug aside.

"Hey Regal, hey 'Grey'", Skutz piped up, coming out of the shadows, "has anyone seen Naz, I oughta kick her or do something to her." She trailed off, staring at the new look Dr. Q made for himself. "Snazzy," she whispered. Normally she wasn't this giddy at all. "Regal, can I just get a pint of warm hospitality?"

"Thank you, Doctor." She said finishing her blood wine and feeling its effects a little more intensely than she had before. It was not like being drunk in the human sense, but the euphoria was intensified in a slight ways.
"Would you like another cup of coffee, or perhaps something a little different. Gallon isn't here tonight, and I promise I wont tell." She giggled devilishly with a fang extending slightly below her lip in a sly smirk.
"Southern Comfort and Dr. Pepper Skutz?" She asked politely, with a distinct contrast to her previous words.

Question smirked. "Cute, nice and rebellious. I like you already. Give me something strong." He glanced at Skutz. 'Okay, make that four people who know my real name. This could get serious.'

"That'd be nice Regal, thank you," Skutz replied to Regal as she turned to Question, "sorry, but I could kinda overhear your conversation with Regal, curse my unusually sensitive hearing. I remember the Question as he was, but this is gonna prove interesting, tarry not long in thought about me, I won't hassle any of your plans, unless they conflict with any of mine." She turned back to Regal with a smile, "Southern hospitality is great."

A slumped silhouette appeared in the doorway, shuffling into the tavern in sullen silence. The spiky head hung low, as if in shame or guilt, and the figure tried to sneak to the bar without being seen.
It would have worked too in the dim lighting if it hadn't been for those feathered monstrosities poking out of her back.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid..."
Scribbler plopped onto a stool and promptly began to bang her head against the bar, cursing her lack of self-control.

Emma noted Scribbler's entrance and almost instantly came down from her power-and-transformation-induced high.

"Something the matter?" she asked, pointed ears pricked forward.

She jumped, spinning in her seat and suddenly aware of Emma's presence...and thus distracted, barely heard the question.

"Lady Emma!"
A blink. The enchantress was elven again, and looking all the more powerful for it. "I'm glad to see you've returned to your rightful species," she finished lamely.

A quick glance around the tavern revealed the presence of the Doctor, a fellow vampire, and a recent bite victim...and Scribbler bit back a wince. Fresh guilt came in a wave.

Please don't ask, please don't ask...I need to go apologize...

"Thank you." she replied, looking at Scribbler with concern. She would not ask, but she was curious.

Very curious indeed.

Skutz glanced over at the new enterers and saw Naz and Emma. "eeep...." she let out a small cry, not loud enough to be heard over the chatter in the tavern.
She hid behind Question, hoping not to be seen, cautiously taking sips of her drink.

"Why are you hiding? This is embarrassing for me."
"Shut up Bastion! You wouldn't know even if you were the on the receiving end of that attack, it's not that because I was bit by a vampire, it's because of Naz's attack"
"You're right, I'll never understand, nor do I care to begin to."
Skutz tried her best not be noticed, but fails.

The question hung there unasked, she could tell, but Emma chose to not give it voice. Scribbler was quite grateful for that...at the same time, she was quite confident Emma could put two and two together.

A flash of white in the periphery shifted, and the motion caught Scribbler's eye. Someone was trying to hide, and failing just as badly as she had.

Scribbler took a deep breath to steel herself, forcing a smile and rising to her feet. "Please excuse me for a moment, Lady Emma...I'll be right back."
It was now or never. She strode silently towards Skutz, running a million possible scenarios in her head.

Complete forgiveness was probably too much to hope for.

"Um...Skutz? Could I talk to you for a moment?"

A chill ran down Skutz's spine from the voice. She turned and saw Naz, Skutz wanted to run, but Bastion kept her still. "No no no, end this before I do." Sweat beads ran down Skutz face from fear, but she held her breath, keeping strong, "yes," her only reply. She could hardly speak, her body trembled as she stood, "where to?"
