"Don't you get it Aquaria!" Garin demanded, angrily. he turned on her. "Once I frenzy, it doesn't matter what you do! I'm going to try to kill you! You and any other innocent person I have to be around!"

"I can protect myself if you did that," she replied a little more icily. "I'd have enough magic to stop you."

Garin stared at her for a few moments. Then he heaved a sigh and turned around again.

I know I'm stupid to trust you like this, and I know you think I'm stupid to even be here with you, Aquaria thought as Garin turned around. She stood there silently and watched him, then turned around and stared at the Bay with glassy eyes.

"Guess I pretty much ruined our good time," Garin commented, his voice a little dead.

Aquaria sensed that the conversation was still pretty rough, and decided not to respond to Garin. Instead, she stood and stared into the pure, sapphire-blue waters of the Bay.

Garin glanced towards and then moved to hug her from behind. "I'm sorry, what can I do to make it up to you?" he asked.

"Are you sure there's not any little thing you want me to do?" Garin asked, picking up his crooked smile again. He began to breathe down her neck, alluringly.

"Nothing," Aquaria said firmly, stepping away from Garin.

Garin let her go when she moved away from him. He looked a little hurt when she did. "I'm.. Going to go for walk," he said and then began to walk down the beach again.

Aquaria decided to let Garin go, even though she felt bad about hurting his feelings. She sat down at the edge of the water and let the surf lap up around her ankles.

Garin walked a good distance by himself. He occasionally stopped and looked at a shell or a rock on the beach. Once he was out of sight of Aquaria, he turned and started to walk back. He didn't want for something to happen when he couldn't see her.

Aquaria watched Garin walk away, then turned her attention back to the waves. She reached up and pulled her hair out of its bun, letting it fall down her back and cover the scars on her back.
