Oh...the winkworms...they're harmless...they actually help care for the plants...getting into the places Kero can't...in return, we feed them, and house them...

averus gives him a frightened look and dashes out of the kitchen as though his tail is on fire, while champhy chuckles heartily.... nothing a little applied attention didn't cure... man, that colt must be going through a growth spurt... i wouldn't have minded his raiding the kitchen in the middle of the night... but did he have to go and eat the meat pies i had cooling for the next day's breakfast... she eyes him knowingly... looking for the goodie jar i see.....

In a fashion...Shia wanted me to ask for a certain recipe...oatmeal cookies...and I figured, if you aren't willing to part with it, I could at least take her some already made...
And I can't see if he's going through a growth spurt...but do you know why he's so frightened of me? I'm curious...what horror stories about me wended their way here?

champhy smiles mischieviously as he pulls out her recipe book... awww... don't worry about him... he has this fear that ye can see everything he does... and right now he's got a very guilty conscious that's all... now which one ye think she wants the one with raisins or the one her ma makes with the crunchies...

Hmmm...let's go with the raisons...but let me memorize the beetle one...just in case...
Why on earth would he have a guilty conciesnce? All he did was raid the meat pies...which would have disappeared even faster had I been here...ever hungry, don't you know...so long I've forgotten what it's like to be full...

champhy shrugs... who knows the minds of kids... all i can say is ye really impressed him and he doesn't want to disappoint ye... but it hasn't kept him from being a kid, mind ye... he just thinks twice now before he does something and here's both recipes... she says handing him two cards....

he finds the colt standing in a corner of the garden munching on some spring grass, watching the two quets with a touch of envy and curiosity....
he jumps at kero's appearance then smiles sheepishly at his question... ma tell ye what i did... he asks... nibbling on more grass...

averus shakes his head no and shrugs... at least i don't think so..... he adds cautiously... and when ye look ye see nothing a young male colt might not commit... he's actually been very good... excepting for the pies....
