You have nothing to apologize for, Sammy. The mission brief was too ambiguous.
Before, it only said 'find a fire-type.' It should have said (and now does say) 'catch a fire-type.
The fault lies with the brief itself, its original author, and a tiny bit with me for not realizing it sooner.
