Kyo heard the hectic world rush around him, all he could see was darkness. He was in too much pain to force his eyes open. He was too tired to shift forms to perhaps something with healing properties. He was too tired to even analyze the situation.

Another salvo of pain shot through Kyo's head. It pulsated with agony as the ache seeped down his spine and caused his entire body to shiver in anguish. He felt more thick blood ooze from his head wound onto the cold hard floor. Everything was cold, everything was dark.
