Kasai wandered over to the fire, the flames seemed inviting, Don't worry Zahar we will find a way to get rid of the curse. Kasai thought of this Aunt that Zahar spoke of, she knew what would happen with the spell...she would have to pay. But before that hopefully she could lift the curse. Kasai dipped his hand into the fire, plucking a handful of flames from it. He stood contemplating all that he had learned, then as if it was almost a reminder, Cin be sure to care for the new creature.
Cin looked over at the strange man with the katanas he definantly was not a draconian, but he was hurt. "Good news is that it does look like you have the same sort of biology that we do." Cin started usering the man toward the clinic, watching him so she could catch him if he fell. She understood wanting to walk on your own but she didn't want him to fall either.

Fauve stepped out onto the front porch of her home. She felt bad for withdrawing the way she had, but she needed to have some time to rest, and for Merci and her to have some time alone to work out their problems. The mask girl stepped to the edge of the porch and leaned against the pillar there. The cool wind swept through her hair and blew it back away from her checkered mask, carried on it was the smell of fire.
Fire..... Fauve's attention was drawn to the flames dancing in the air. It looked so graceful and fragile, but it seemed to her, that the brighter the flame, the darker the shadow that surrounded it. Movement caught her eyes and her head jerked around, from the forest she thought she saw figures. She squinted and almost gasped, leaning back against the pillar as her legs threatened to give out. It... couldn't possibly be.... Walking in front of her were two masks that she recognized, on bodies she didn't. They were grown, Zahar and Kasai were grown..... and they were together....
Fauve leaned there, watching helplessly as the anger, hatred and lonliness she'd been feeling billowed up inside of her and threatened to choke her. It was exactly as Fauve had feared, he knew now, and he chose her instead. Fauve was useless, powerless, and unimportant, well we'll see about that. Her blue eyes smoldered from behind her mask, and her fists clenched, she watched Kasai reach into the fire as the other figures began to move away. She couldn't help the rage boiling inside her as she shot a thought at him and only him 'How could you! How could you pretend to be my friend!' She took a step toward him, then two.
She just couldn't face this... it was like her worst fear come to pass... she turned on her heel and bolted for the woods. Her eyes clouded with tears as she ran, branches catching at her. She remebered the last time she felt like this, when Ashirha had been hurt. Fauve slowed and dropped to her knees, she swore she wouldn't run off again and here she was, running alone into the forest. Tears spilled over the cheeks of her mask and she dropped her head.

Kasai heard Fauve yell to him, he looked up confused. What was wrong? Then he saw her dart off toward the forest path that lead to the lake, Cin I am going after Fauve. With that Kasai dashed after Fauve.
Cin looked up confused, she had been helping get the frightened newcomer to the clinic. She saw Fauve running and Kasai dashing after her, "I wonder what is going on..." Cin filed this information away, Merci` may want to know which way her girl went.
Kasai saw the direction Fauve went in and followed, he couldn't keep up with her though, but then he saw he wouldn't have to the girl had stopped kneeling on the ground. She was crying... Kasai approached Fauve quietly What is wrong? Of course I am your friend. Kasai thought Fauve would have been happy to see him grow, but instead she was crying. Once again one of the girls was confusing him.

Fauve jerked her head up and quickly wiped her mask with her sleeve. She didn't want him to see her like this.. she didn't want him to know how much him being with Zahar really hurt her. She realized that she would be filthy, Zahar was always radient and here she was kneeling in the dirt crying. 'I understand though, I hope your happy with her.' Fauve couldn't help the note of pain in her voice as she said that to him in a clipped tone.
He grew up, so he has to remember. Why would he want her, after all she was just an entertainer, no competition for a princess. She bowed her head 'She's a wonderful person, you made the right choice.' Fauve pushed herself to her feet and turned her back on Kasai so he wouldn't look at her, but she made not move to walk away.

Kasai blinked, he sersiously didn't know what was happening...What? Who are you talking about? I haven't made any choices... Kasai sat back on his heels in the dirt looking at Fauve, what could she be talking about. Then he wondered if that flower picking hippy he had met earlier had been telling her lies about him. Tentatively Kasai opens his hand and lays it on Fauve's back, patting her soothingly. Fauve, don't cry...I thought you would be happy that I grew.

She was happy he grew, he.. well, in her opinion he was perfect. She'd only glanced at him but, she shut her eyes when she felt his hand on her back. 'You mean your not involved with Zahar?' She was confused. She honestly thought that as soon as he was grown that he would run off with the princess. Fauve turned her head to look at him, 'I saw you with her, and I thought....' She felt like an idiot right now and she cast her eyes to the ground. 'I'm sorry, I... shouldn't have yelled like that.' She turned to face him and gave him a blantent once over, 'I am happy you grew....'

Kasai blinked, why would I be involved with Zahar? Galilee and her are together. Plus, I don't like her like that. As he said this Kasai wondered why all the girls were being complicated. Then he wondered again about Cern, he wondered where the earth masque had gone and if he had something to do with Fauve thinking things like this. It would make since, especially since Cern seemed interested in Fauve. Jealous flared up in Kasai, Who told you I was with Zahar? Was it Cern?

Fauve blinked and she put her hands in her hips 'Cern has nothing to do with this! He was my first friend, I saw you with Zahar and I thought that maybe..... because of before... that you were...' She frowned, why did he do this to her, why did he mean so much to her already. She glowered at him 'I didn't know that Galilee and Zahar had anything going on..' She finished lamely... she took her hands off her hips and folded her arms, from above her in a tree Inathe hissed lightly at his mother's agitation.

Kasai thought she was telling the truth but could he be sure, maybe she didn't know what Cern had planned, Kasai shrugged. Met Cern a little bit ago, running around in rade territory picking flowers half clothed. He meantioned hearing about me from you and I just assumed he must be important...more important then me; since ya know I haven't ever heard about him from you. Then he stood up, he didn't understand how Fauve could get him all worked up, since he had first met her she had been in his mind and now she was driving him crazy. She was mad about Zahar when there was nothing there, and was telling some guy he didn't know about him. Anyways, yeah Zahar and Galilee, speaking of which Galilee is still lost in the forest somewhere. I should go tell someone about that. Kasai walked away...more confused then ever.

Fauve stood there and stared after him, she would be slack jawed if she had a mouth. How could he think that, Cern was... well.. Cern! Cern was like her older brother, someone she talked to about her problems when she felt overwhelmed, or when she couldn't talk to Ashirha, but he was never more important to her then Kasai was. She felt like crying again, like chasing after him and asking him how he felt about her, or maybe just telling him how he made her feel.
But... how did he make her feel. Staring after him, all grown up, she didn't know anymore. When he stared at her like he had she felt.. exposed.. like he was looking at HER. Inathe dropped from the tree to her shoulder and cooed in her ear. She looked down at herself and thought she would go to the lake and soak off her troubles. She shut her eyes and reached up scratching Inathe's head, she called after him a few words that only he would hear.. 'Kasai, no one is more important then you are.' She left it at that, hoping that perhaps that would be enough to put a salve on their damaged relationship.
She stood for a few more moments and decided that she probably better bathe away the dirt on her body, and perhaps find Cern. She didn't know who else to talk to about this, and he was her friend after all.

Merci` 'Kasai, no one is more important then you are.' She left it at that, hoping that perhaps that would be enough to put a salve on their damaged relationship. Kasai stopped by the fire, frozen in place, Fauve said he was the most important...new he did care for her. But he didn't know how to express that, his emotions were not something he was comfortable with at the moment. I was much easier to be jealous of Cern then to talk to Fauve about love. Jumping the steps to the house Kasai stood at the doorway and suddenly felt alone, knowing one that that would make him feel better he grabs a few boxes of matches that Cin leaves on the fireplace. Outside he sees the bonfire, walking over to it quickly he takes a seat on a stump and opens one of the boxes.
Kasai sighs mentally and pulls a match from the box, running it quickly across the strip on the side a thrill runs through him as the match flares up. Eyes mesmerized on the flame he watches as it burns lower and lower touching the tips of his fingers, he doesn't try to control the fire though so his fingertips burn slightly. Flinging the used match into the fire Kasai then strikes another, once again the thrill...and comfort.Cin walks part way to the clinic with Kata and the lizard man, then she looks over her shoulder at the fire. "Someone should watch the bonfire, I'll head back there. Once you get him patched up why don't you come back out to the fire and we can eat some food." Cin says this to Kata.

Kataio called back to Cinder, "Thank you that would be great." They were almost at the clinic anyways and she didn't know how long it would take to patch this guy up but she was already hungry. Kata did a quick check on Zahar and the man with the lizard tail.
Neither Zahar nor Kataio said anything until they reached the clinics door. "Zahar if you would like you can go on and eat or something if you would like. No sense keeping you here if you have things to do ya know?"
Zahar shrugged before saying, 'I have nothing to do at the moment Kataio but I would be no help in there. I will take my leave.' She turned and walked back to the fire close to Cinderfae.
Kata looked to the other person and waved him in. "Ummm... I'll get you to sit on one of the chairs for now. I wonder if Aricin is around." She then muttered, "I hope he is around somewhere he knows how to do this stuff better then I." Kataio pointed to one of the chairs, hoping that the being would understand.

"if this is your care facility then i shall be fine on my own for now so long as there are a needle and thread and bandages avaliable. also if you could point me in the direction of a well where i can get water it would be appreciated. and thank you for your assistance by the way." he reached into a belt pouch and withdrew a large platinum coin with a groutesque demon head on one side and the symbol of cyric on the other. this coin in his realm would have paid for the bandages an needles and thread one hundred times over. he hopped there currency was the same as his. if not he had a few gems, a few more platinum and some gold he could barter with.

Nika nodded and listened quietly. It was great and probably safer to know what Shi had just pointed out to him. Even though, he felt that he should have known where the arteries were on his own.
Perhaps, realizing the past wasn't as troublesome as it had seemed at first.
Being so avoidant and wary of the past was almost... unnatural. His past was what made him who he was. Even in this new life. It was natural to remember.
More convinced that he was going to go to the ruins and retrieve whatever it was that he was searching for, someday, not necessarily right away, Nika stood up and glanced at Shi.
'Do you still want to go? Did you even want to in the first place?'
If she didn't want him to go he wouldn't, but he wasn't about to let her go without him either.

Time waned as Trivii and Saniya idled by the new pond, Trivii couldn't be prouder of the acomplishment, standing behind the girl, she idly slid her fingers through the sea foam locks, pulling back the sides and begining to braid the silken lengths together. "Sani, you've be real quiet for the past little while, do you wanna talk about something? While we have a few minutes that is?"
Sani flicked her eyes up at the cat-kin, having genuinly forgotten the pressence of her mother, calmed but the gentle reasuurance of the pond. 'Its not important, I guess I was just taken aback thats all.... should we go check on Miss Cinderfae and Kasai?'
Finishing the braid Trivii tugged lightly on the length of sea foam. "Alright sweets, I have to admit to my own curiosity." Taking Sani's hand, she turned the girl back towards the town and and started to walk.
