Xieno rolled his eyes with Sess' flinging of arms to exaggerate his words. Though he couldnt' help but smile at how true the words were. It seemed like the two were always bored and Raul was indeed, hairy.
Then Sess went into pacing about and incinerating the things that stood in his path; puffing some clouds every few seconds. Xieno had seen Sess do this many times but he could never help grinning, holding back a laugh, at how much it reminded him of a train.
Xieno stayed a good distance away, only to avoid as much smoke as possible. Then Sess called out to him, using the usual nickname. Xieno sunk into his own thoughts, ordering them so he would get facts straight.
"Many things have happened in the last few days. We just received word form some of our spies, that Lenil has succeed in a hostile takeover. Killing Ozen and securing his land. Gigmore inherited Arigan's land by the hands of the stupid queen. Though it is still unknown as to her motives behind it." He said casually as if that sort of stuff happened all the time. After a moment he spoke again but this time he frowned and there was an edge to his voice. "Father's armies have failed in their attempt to obtain any amount of Clevor's land. The stupid idiots can't even fight a battle right." He scowled, mental images of some of the captains coming to mind. He Had reccently returned from checking on the armies near the border and was very displeased with what they had to give him.

"Gigmore... Gigmore... Ugh! Just saying his name is enough to make me spit!" and so saying Sess spit, quite forcefully in fact not only did he lose his cigarette he burst it into a flaming ball. "Ugh! Dammit!" Sess said smacking his palm to his face.
Raul who had been quiet for the entirety of Sess' little show had let out a loud guffaw and begun rolling around in his mirth. To Sess the noise sound like... like... well a dieing cat, but to others it was hilarious and amusing. He hated amusement that didn't cause pain...
"What did your high and mighty father say about you taking a hands on approach to the situation with the soldiers?" Sess made sure to mock the way he said high and mighty. Despite his loyalty to the king he could never miss a chance to get Xione flustered from him being disrespectful to his father. 'Silly kid.'

Xieno quite agreed with Sess about Gigmore. He despised him more than any of the other kings. He was soft, weak and overly kind. Though he didn't follow Sess' lead in spitting.
He watched Sess as he dropped his cigar and burst into a ball of flame. It amused him how easily he burned the things about him.
His gaze was drawn to Raul as he rolled around making sounds like he was laughing. He couldn't help himself and he chuckled.
When Sess spoke again he struck a nerve, immediately. They way he referred to his father as high and mighty put a scowl on his face. He fought pack a serous series of words. "My father is not high and mighty." He stated proudly. Then his face fell. "Though he did tell me there was no need for my interference, in such matters." It was obvious that they had argued about it, by the way he said it defeated like. He had wanted to get directly involved and show the idiots how to fight.

After stomping out the remaining cinders of his cigar with as much care he would give kicking an injured person in the gullet Sess stared at Xieno for a calculating moment. The idea of sending him straight into the fray along the borders seemed like a good idea at the time, but the thought of him getting injured was a slap to the face.
'If he was to get hurt, even nicked on the ear I'd never hear the end of it....' Sess looked at Raul just long enough for him to get up and lay next Sess' feet. 'Raul coouulld protect him... but hmmm....' Sess stroked behind Raul's ears before he spoke, it always seemed to calm him down when he wasn't sure what to do next.
"How about we go do some reconnaissance?" Sess scratched his head in his mild dumbfounded state. "Though its not really up my ally it can't be too hard."

Xieno was staring at the ground while thoughts of showing the pathetic soldier how fighting was done, played through his mind. He didn't look up until Sess spoke, as he was caught up in the mental action.
Looking at Sess his eyes lit up instantly. He had done reconnaissance before, though not as exciting as fighting, it was something to do. And he was sure it wouldn't be boring with Sess and Raul along.
"Sounds better then sitting around the palace." He said excited. He was going to go out to the border again, this time to do something other than get the reports of incompetent captains. Maybe if they were lucky, they would get to fight. The mere idea that such was a possibility made it more irresistible.
He opened his red orange wings, preparing for a takeoff. He waited to make sure Sess wasn't pulling his leg about going before he made a complete fool of himself.

"Just what I wanted to hear!" Sess shouted, whipping out another cigar while mounting Raul. "Lead the way buddy."
Sess was smiling so uncharacteristically when Xieno accepted the little adventure. Like a jack in the box finally able to escape the four by four prison chamber.
Underneath Sess however the fierce ball of fur was growling and shaking in protest to the revealed cigar. The idea of running and exhausting himself while having to breathe in the noxious fumes of the revolting burn stick Sess always had on him simply wasn't going to happen this time. Roaring like a lion Raul bucked and bit down on Sess' ankle, gentle enough not to break the skin but strong enough to move, then proceeded to throw him off.
"Oh come on Raul! Are we really going to do this again?" Sess yelled before placing his palm on his face.

With Sess's words he jumped into the air and opened his wings, lossing a cray of delight. Then he preformed several aerial flips, before circling lower.
The smile on Sess's face was unusually, but Xieno like to see it.
He couldn't help but laugh at how insistent Raul was to having Sess, not smoking when he rode him.
"You might have to forgo the cigar, if you ever want to reach the border." He said amusement in his voice. He was proud of his wings and he didn't have to rely on something else for his speed.

With a snap of his fingers Sess lit the tip of his cigar and proceeded in taking the deepest breath he could before exhaling the mother of all smoke clouds around Raul. In response Raul yelped and ran away from both the offending smell and Sess' angry scowl.
"The day I give up cigars is the day I give someone a hug, Xieno." Sess' voice was firm as he made his statement, nothing would break him from his 'unhealthy habit'. "Besides I can keep up fine enough without Raul. Just need to go get something from my shed."
Shoving his right hand into his pocket while putting his left on cigar duty Sess walked down the street pouting out his 'angry smoke' with each step. "It'll only take a few minutes. I guarantee you you'll like it."

"Gees, lighten up a bit, Sess. It wouldn't kill you. I was just teasing." Xieno said somewhat defensive. He hadn't meat for Sess to completely give up the unhealthy habit; he simply was saying that he maybe he could live without one until they got to the border.
He knew he had upset Sess by the way his voice sounded firm and the fact he had addressed him by his real name. He perked up with curiosity at his statement. He wondered what he could have that could keep up.
He stayed airborne and watched Sess walk away, puffing smoke angrily. He circled down, landing by Rual. He stroked him while waiting for Sess to return with the thing he would supposedly like.
Once Sess was out of earshot Xieno looked at Raul. "I wish he would stop, but it's a lost cause buddy." He said sympathetically.

Raul was hanging his head low as he walked next to the still fuming Sess, the embarrassment and regret plain on his blue furred face. He usually didn’t fight what Sess wanted, but the smell of the cigar was just too much for his nose. It made him feel off balance and insecure since he couldn’t sense the odors around him other then ash.
Raul whimpered lowly when Xieno landed and began to pet him and trying to reassure him. Though he knew Sess would eventually cool off Raul couldn’t help but feel bad for what he did.
By the time Sess reached the shed he had already finished the rest of his cigar and had found a new job for his left hand, scratching the back of his head as he walked. With a few quick movements here and there he found what he was looking for, the contraption he had been working on for a few weeks. The contraption he had been bragging about to Xieno was a board made with his very bone, his metallic bone that is.
A few weeks ago an idea had hit Sess that at the time seemed ludicrous but now had flourished into a very useful creation. Sess learned he could detach the bones he lengthened and sharpened into metal could be removed without much limitation and molded into whatever he decided. After tinkering with different bodies for his creation he finally decided a board with bootstraps capable of channeling his heat energy for movement was the best design. The only problem was he never tried it, he was in fact kind of skeptic it would work.
Throwing the monstrous slab of metal onto his shoulder he left the shed and made his way back to Xieno and Raul waiting patiently on the roadside. “This is it,” Sess said a little unsure, his voice calmer from his previous ragefit. “Never tried it out though, but theoretically it should go as fast as Raul.”

As Sess returned Xieno caught sight of the huge, metal board. He was almost instantly on his feet. He rushed over to Sess and began to examine the board. He didn't touch it though, unsure if Sess had cooled down enough.
"That's sweet!" He said excitedly. "How is it supposed to work?" he asked curiously. He really wanted to hold it and examine every inch of the board.
Turning to look at Raul he smiled and said jokingly. "Guess your being replaced. He knew full well that the pair would be together until the end.

Raul whimpered at Xieno's little joke and sniffed a the metal monster as Sess dropped it on the ground, quite callously in fact. His ears picked up with some joy, perhaps Sess didn't like it and wanted to ride him again.
"Well, I'm not sure if you ever tried it before but it's alot like surfing without the water," Sess explained as he placed the board down on the ground. "It's specifically built for me but I s'pose anyone could use it. I just have to put my feet in the strapping here and channel the flames to my feet for the energy. It's a hella of a kick, but I just steer with my body."
Taking off his shoes and placing his feet in the specified areas he directed Raul and Xieno to step back before he sent the burst of energy to his feet. "Don't need ya gettin' burned."

Xieno stepped back as Sess dropped the work of art to the ground. He examined it again, as it now lay on the ground. Listening to Sess' explanation.
"I have never been surfing, I hate water." He said with distaste. He liked the idea of trying out this board though; it fascinated him. He nodded enthralled.
He stepped back, instinctively when Sess directed him to. Though he actually had no need to, as he was resistant to fire.

Taking a deep breathe Sess directed all his energy into his feet and was surprised when the board lurched forward just a bit. Giving his feet a little more juice he slapped his hand across his mouth trying to hold back a girlish scream as he was sent flying into the air fighting unseen friction for control.
Higher, higher, and higher Sess soared until he regained his composure so he could tilt in the desired directions to steer his monstrosity. Releasing the energy from his feet he entered a free fall state that send him plummeting to the earth faster then he usually seen Xieno dare. "Wooo hoooo! Incoming!" Sess yelled as he poured his concentration into his feet to go soaring just before hitting the ground.

Xieno observed Sess as the board lurched forward. Sess stifled a scream with his hand, which made hims smile. He watched him fight to maintain his balance.
He smiled again, this time with pride. For some reason seeing Sess fly made him feel that way. Watching him free fall at dangerous rate, he felt his heart skip a beat. Then returning to normal as he landed.
"Show off." He called as he walked towards Sess. Then he grinned brightly. "I guess that means it works. Shall we head out then?" he asked, his pride still evident on his face.
