Well, at least the water brought him to his senses. For the most, anyway. Though, it wasn't surprising that he'd still be shaken up. Yuki could only be thankful that he was alive, and coherent. He only rolled his eyes at Neko's name calling, and backed up a couple of steps from the foot of the bed to spin his chair around and sit in it properly.

He listened while everyone else began to drill him with questions about the night before, waiting himself to hear the answers. In the back of his mind, he wondered if Neko would bother thinking twice about this moment when he decided he needed a drink again. Sadly, he doubted it. He'd have to keep an eye on him, just in case.

He could have asked if it was anyone that they'd seen before, but that couldn't have been the case. As for the hound, Yuki knew that it couldn't have been that man, Neko would have warned them all for sure. He leaned forward and propped his head up, resting his elbow on one knee. The ultimate question arose again; Who had done this, and why?

-----

Disgusting old man, was he? Well... He didn't have much room to argue with that, but he frowned anyhow at the accusation. "I beg your pardon," He replied, forcing himself not to grind his teeth. "I was only trying to help." God, remaining calm around a woman that was so full of herself wasn't easy. Was he already loosing his touch?

But this would eventually pay off, this man was not the quitting sort. Might as well lay out his cards, he decided. If this didn't work he might actually have to move on to the next pretty face.

He reached casually into one of his pockets and produced a deerskin bag, tossing it lightly in his hand. It was tied shut with a tiny suede drawstring, but the metallic jingling that sounded from his action gave no doubt of the contents of it. The bag itself was larger than one of his closed fists. Bum, was he?

"I was going to offer to buy you an expensive meal, but... If I disturb you so, I suppose I've no choice but to dine alone." His tone of disappointment was genuine, though the saddened expression he offered was not. He adverted his gaze from her a final time, looking back toward the hotel. The feline hesitated only a moment, thinking it best not to say another word for risk of ruining what chance he might have still clung to, before he stepped away from her and toward the front door of the establishment. He pocketed his gold, even though he was certain that these snobs would be just as quick to look down their noses at him.

Oh, how he hated big cities.

"Ohohoho, disgusting, I said?" Elegancia's eyes brightened as she stared at the bag the man held. "I, quite honestly, meant to say charming- oh, you know how emotional us women can be, ohohoho!"

She flipped her hair, giggled coyly, and elevated her chest so that her breasts were more visible, as they shined in artificial light from the hotel.

"I shall allow you to escort me to dinner, and if you do so in a suitable manner, I shall even allow you to purchase my meal! I might even be so inclined to let you get me a room, as well, Sir... Sir, what was your name, again?"

    She giggled coyly. Again.

The victorious grin that had crossed his face was swiftly reformed into a calm smile as he slowed in his tracks and turned to gaze at the young woman over his shoulder.

If all else fails, flash the cash.

"Oh? So you have changed your mind..." The tabby responded, while lifting an arm to gesture she wrap her own around the crook of his elbow. After all, that was how one could properly escort a lady, right? Of course, her change in posture did not go unnoticed, and this time he figured that he was permitted to stare. In moderation, of course, before his attention returned to her face. "I will do my best to impress you, Miss."

While not entirely stunned by the suggestion that he purchase her a room, as it had been his plan from the start, her suggestion of it brought a broader smile. He said nothing of that particular subject, however...

"Deacon." He said, at last giving his introduction. "My name is Deacon." As he continued onward to lead them inside, he looked at her expectantly from the corner of his eye. "Might I be so bold as to ask of yours?"

When Riyo asked what they had talked about Neko drew his arm away from his face and looked at the ceiling deep in thought. "I don't really remember. We spoke of traveling I think. The details are a bit fuzzy. I think he might have...bought me a drink." That seemed to make him think. At the time he didn't give much thought of taking a drink that the man had offered him. Of course, he was drunk so thinking didn't happen as easily as it should.

"He must have spiked the drink... Though.. he did hold the glass for awhile first right? If he didn't there wouldn't be anyway he could have put anything into it."

As he listened to the fragments of Neko's memory, Blade thought on how things might have happened at the bar last night. There wasn't a whole lot to work off of, and he had doubts that they'd really be able to complete this puzzle given how shot Neko's memory was right now.

"That'd.. also mean it was the bartender."

at hearing the possibility of neko's drink being spiked, poke stood up again looking pretty pissed now. The thought that someone had deliberatly put neko and everyone else through that was enough to make her start punching things. Repeativly.

"If I ever see the person who posiioned neko, I am going to grab that poisiona dns hove it down their own throats!" she said. "Thats a pretty low thing to do. Poision someone elses drink when you don't even know them"

Elegancia looked at the crooked arm. "Oh, no, no, you do not need to do that to properly escort a lady," she said while laughing nervously, "at any rate, shall we adjourn to the dining area?"

She hadn't intended to eat. Perhaps pick the most expensive dish on the entire menu, and not eat it? Who knew! One thing for sure, however, was that a real lady never ate in public. It didn't matter if it was a five-star meal made by the best cook in the world, if you ate in public, that meant that later the food must come out later- as excrement. She definitely did not want people to think she did that.

"Mr. Deacon, hmm? What a dashing name that is!" Elegancia did not wish to disclose her real name, and looked around the room as she thought of a make-shift name. "I... I am Lady... Lady Monique von Ackenbacken. The twenty-eight! Yes. A pleasure!" She mentally slapped herself for thinking up a name she could hardly remember herself.

Figured. He had actually drank himself to the point of amnesia. He probably didn't even remember how the person looked. Which is why she didn't bother asking.

And while Poke's... Enthusiasm was slightly justified, Riyo just had to put in her own commentary. "Are you stupid?" She asked, always a good conversation starter. "He doesn't even remember what they talked about. I doubt he'd be able to point out who did it."

"So, while I'm all for some good old fashioned revenge, not that all of you excluding Neko and Mitsu wouldn't know that... I don't suggest carrying a vial of poison around and force feeding it to people whenever Mr. Drunky says they look familiar."

She sighed and looked down at Neko. "People die. And people die at the hands of others. A lot of the time, at no personal fault... I won't say it's your fault you got poisoned... But I will say that most people don't get a second goddamn chance."

Probably not the best thing to bring up while everyone else is just happy to see him alive. But, that was Riyo for you. Realizing that, if he hadn't gone out and indulged himself, none of that would've happened. She stood up, gathered her clothes that had been placed on the other bed, and took one last glance back before entering the bathroom and quietly shutting it.

"No, but I don't want to wait around untill something like this happens again" poke responded. In the back of her mind, she wondered if this was going to be a reacuring scenario She making her comment and then got told off for how "brilliant" it was. Or being told off for running head first into whatever problem she had. Oh well, it wasn't as if she wasn't used to this happening. She did the same thing when she was a kid.
However, riyo did prove to be the reason of voice here. She couln't run down and demand everyone to turn out their pockets or she'd bash them. As she pondered this, riyo had left for the bathroom as well as pointing out how lucky neko was.
"You know.." she stated after riyo had left. "if this guy was out to get neko, he might try and do something like this again...

Neko listened to Riyo but did not focus on her as she talked. Ah, how cheerful it was to hear her sweet voice of concern drenched with that of blatant honest truth. "I appreciate your concern," Neko spoke to the closed bathroom door as Riyo had just shut it.

A little annoyed Neko didn't want to stay in bed any longer and started to sit up, but once again found that to be a bad idea as the world began to spin and his head began to ache. "Gah, for the love of gaia." He pressed his hands to his face hoping that would help ease the pain or the spinning if not both.

"Neko?" Mitsu's soft concerned voice echoed from the side of the bed as a hand touched Neko's arm.

"I'm alright Mitsu," Neko said through his hands still keeping them firmly in place.

"S...shouldn't you rest?"

"No, I think I've had enough of resting," Neko replied as he finally took his hands away from his face and swung his legs around to the side of the bed. He stood to his feet a little too quickly and nearly landed on the floor. Luckily he managed to catch his balance and only weaved in place. "Well....this has been an enjoyable morning."

Rubbing at his sore head he looked to Mitsu and then to Yuki. There was something screaming at him from the back of his mind that had to do with these two but he couldn't quite place it. He could point out the emotions he felt but he wasn't sure why he felt them. Worry, confusion, relief, and anger. They were all balled up together but he couldn't remember the details of what had happened. What had they....

"Th-there's no baby, Neko."

The image of Yuki's face as he had told him that flashed across his vision. Now the pieces of the puzzle were coming together even if he couldn't remember the rest. He had been worried for Mitsu, confused when he had first heard those words, relieved when they sank in, and completely angry to know that he had been lied to. And just like a horrible case of deja vu the anger Neko had felt the night before started to well up inside him all over again. Before he knew what was happening he was beside Yuki gritting his teeth against the pain he felt in his head and drawing back his fist to land a punch square in his face.

Listening quietly to the conversation as it continued, Yuki didn't offer any words on the subject. Only listened, and slowly began to tune all of them out as he tried to hypothesize what could have happened. Of course he didn't know, but it didn't stop him from trying. That, and he was still tired, and the longer he remained zoned out the closer he got to falling asleep again. With his eyes open, no less.

Then, just before he'd nodded off, he took note that someone had stepped up next to him. He'd barely realized who had been moving around, but when he turned his head to see who had stopped alongside him, he looked a bit shocked to find Neko standing there. Though, the look on his potentially former friend's face brought a look of confusion. Just as quickly as he could realize what was about to happen, eyes growing wide, he had no time to get out of the way. Neko's knuckles met hard with Yuki's nose, and the sound of the impact more that suggested that there might be good reason to worry.

The force of the blow sent him tumbling over in his chair, and for several seconds it just laid on the floor, stunned. Slowly, he picked himself up from the floor, groping at his nose with a look of dazed confusion. It was throbbing painfully, and the warm, wet sensation Yuki felt on his upper lip told him that it was bleeding even before he'd drawn his hand back to see his red fingertips.

He stared at it for a moment, sniffling strangely as he tried to clear his nostrils of the still flowing blood. Then, he slowly looked up at Neko, his expression of shock shifting to apparent anger. "What the ******** was that for!?" He demanded, though even as he shouted he'd closed the gap between them. He drew back out of his own fists, Neko's previous predicament and Yuki's concern for his well being swiftly forgotten as he took a swing for Neko's jaw.

"You know damn well what this is about you lying bast-" Before Neko could finish his sentence Yuki's fist had made contact with his jaw. His reaction time had been too slow to dodge and he was thrown backward onto the bed. Oh, it was on now! Shuffling back out of the bed Neko staggered to his feet rubbing at his jaw shortly with one hand. The look of pure anger was hard to go unnoticed as he balled up his fists, claws digging into his flesh.

"Neko, Yuki," Mitsu's voice was so quiet that it no doubt went unnoticed in the mist of the fighting. "P..please stop." She had stood to her feet but did not dare to step between them. In their blind rage she would no doubt be in the way of potential danger.

Tasting a small bit of blood in his mouth Neko gritted his teeth again as he gave a feral hiss. "You will pay." Before he uttered another word Neko stepped forward one hand balled into a fist ready to punch the other groping at his side for a blade which he found difficulty finding at first.

Riyo had barely finished wrestling with her bra when she heard the commotion going down. "What the..." She quickly threw on her pants and slammed open the door only to see a scuffle between Neko and Yuki. Well, a bit more than a scuffle really. Since there was blood on both ends.

"HEY." Unlike Mitsu, Riyo was not quiet. In the least. "HOW ABOUT NOT ACTING LIKE THE RESPECTIVE ANIMALS OF YOUR ANCESTORS AND HAVING A LITTLE RESTRAINT." Honestly, if she could keep herself from starting something, surely they could as well.

"If you want to get blood all over this clean room, allow me. I'll have the walls smeared with it by the time I finish with you two. But can't it at LEAST wait until the afternoon?"

Morning person? Obviously not.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 14, 2008 9:14 pm

At first when Neko got up, Blade had just quirked a brow. He didn't think it was really a good idea to be up and about just yet, considering how bad his condition was the previous night. But his eyes soon widened as the guy beelined towards Yuki and decked him in the face, which he soon received a punch in return.

From the looks of things, this wasn't quite over just yet, and he wasn't so sure if they would heed Riyo's warnings. So, quickly, he made his way over to the two men and placed himself between them. Considering how angry they were, he knew he was going to have to watch out for anything coming his way.

"Hey, calm down you two," he started while reaching out to try and stop Neko from grabbing one of the daggers he owned, "Seeing how Neko just had a near death experience last night for reasons we don't even know, this really isn't a good time to have an all out brawl."

"Why the hell are you so pissed about anyway Neko?"

While blade had obviously stepped in to break the fight, and riyo telling them to knock it off otherwise she'd be doing the fighting for them, poke decided that blade might need some assistance with trying to stop the both of them from trying to kill each other.
Since blade seemed to be holding back neko, she stepped behind yuki and made an attempt to grab his right arm, to pull him away from neko.
"This isn't the time to be having a bloody punch-up!" poke added in her own opinion
