I think it's because people's reactions can be rather amusing. I do the same thing, but not for the Potter books, as I'm a die-hard HP fan too. I'd be pissed if someone spoiled it for me.

I don't know. Like I said, it's not something that upsets me personally. I've had the last 4 books "spoiled" for me, and I didn't enjoy them less. I know it really bothers other people, though, so I'm just wondering what satisfaction some people get out of spoiling it for them.

i got my book yesterday in the early morning... but you've got to add the fact that i volunteer over the weekend and i rarely had a chance to read... i had about 2 hours straight to read... but the rest was broken up by work and sleep.... 3nodding

I don't really get anything out of it, I just like how some people will get pissed off, or how others will just get so depressed for hearing me tell them something that they'll find out in a few days anyway.

No. I lost interest in the fifth book. Read the sixth book for shits and giggles, which it was neither. :3

The sixth book is a bit drug-out and...boringish. But the seventh is actually pretty suprising. Even though it drags on in the middle. You're going to Otakon 08, then?
