Well in short because he's over the internet and you never know who you are really talking to. He can't come up next month. In fact my parents told me he better not come up until next May.

Angel.. don't let your parents run your life. The only way you'll know if you two are gonna work is if you meet in real life and talk and get to know each other, in a non text way. Plus Aeridus is totally sweet.
Not to mention alot of people find love over the net. 3nodding

Plus Aeridus is totally sweet. Not to mention alot of people find love over the net. 3nodding When he comes up my mom plas to be here the whole time. or another family member. My parents were going on about how do you really know him crap. In fact my mom had him on MSN and me on the phone. She asked him questions and when he responded she asked me the questions right away so that way she could tell if I knew the answer. I have alot of doubt in my head right now. My mom also said it's 50/50 right now on who is right, my parents or me. I told my sister about a week ago because I trusst my sister and my parents got mad at her because she didn't tell them when she found out. My parents are playing for next month's rent so that way i can save money. I have no choice but to let them control my life. I may be away from home but there is nothing I can do. This whole thing sucks. I told them last night to be honest with them and now they are disappointed and think I'm completely stupid.

No, that is no excuse. Your parents should respect you as an adult. They should try to guide you, not control you. Parenting is not just about raising kids, it's about knowing when you've done your job and it's time to let go and watch your kids live their own lives.
As to the doubts, if you have doubts tell him now. Why should he waste his time, money, and affections on someone who is iffy. You trust him or not, it's your decision, but you need to be respectful of Aaron too. If you have doubts talk to him.
One of Lint's friends met her internet boy friend from Texas yesterday, and things are going well. He was exactly who he said he was, most people on the net are really good people, not nut bags. I don't think your mom, who doesn't know him, should form judgements about him. And why are you acting like suddnely you don't believe he's who he says he is, like he is secretly a monster or a ninty year old woman. It upsets me that you are saying these things about Aeridus.

Don't worry, she told me when she was having small doubts... her mother is very psychological in her methods of control. But... Jen is finally recovering from the mental onslaught of her mom. And she still loves me, as I do her. heart

YAY!! I'm glad to hear it, I don't think it's right for parnets to abuse their power. (this is coming from a mom, so noone tell the mom council, they might boot me)

I really have no idea what to think. My mom has this way of making me doubt myself. It's one of her talents.
I did tell Aaron my doubts.
My parents still see me as their little girl and aren't wanting to let me go at all. My dad didn't even want me to move to go to school out here.
My parents believe that they can always control my life and when I move in with my godmother's sister they have more of a chance to do that.
I do believe he is who he is but my dad found ways to prove that webcams don't always work.
My parents are degrading me and they do it so well. I have low self esteem and my mom feeds off of that. She says I am not the child she raised me to be and s**t like that.
I do still love him.. I really do.
