I'm going to try out Olimar but somehow I don't think I'll be very good with him. But who knows? Either way he is an awesome addition.

Personally, I don't think the slow characters look very good, so I don't think I'll be attracted to Olimar as a character (he looks medium-slow to me). I guess what you guys are calling a "gimmick" really is a gimmick, that is, it looks like he's gonna be held back, but he may have potential. He looks like he won't do very good against a fast character though, because he won't have time to replenish his forces once they are all gone, since the fast character player will press the advantage and strike as many times as they can before they get hit away again (and it's not looking like that's going to happen much since he can't do smash attacks without Pikmin).

I think it'll be closer to a combination of Ice Climbers and Dedede. And only a little like that.
I guess only Dedede because of the picking-stuff-up-out-of-nowhere trait.
Edit - Actually, I think he will be his own unique character.

Itakio I think it'll be closer to a combination of Ice Climbers and Dedede. And only a little like that. I guess only Dedede because of the picking-stuff-up-out-of-nowhere trait. I'm glad they have more odd ball character's. Pokemon Trainer= Shiek/Zelda Olmar an Pikman= Iceclimbers

I'm actually feeling a little too ambitious, I keep saying that I'll get really good with too many characters. Right now, I want to be the best with Samus, Link, Snake, and Yoshi. If they release any more characters I love...then I might be forced to choose... eek

Well from the looks of it, Olimar could quite possibly be just a wacky character, we haven't got much to base off an idea yet, but obviously he's using his pikmin.

Everyone is considering using every character. Thats how I see it.
But yeah the newcomers will be seen ALOT more than veterans I think..when it comes to online play/
So far Snake, Meta Knight, and Dedede are the newcomers I am really looking forward too. But I'll no doubt try everyone out
