Keiro went back to the stufy after he got dressed, he had his notebook with him so he wanted to see if his stepdad liked his drawnings. He knocked before opening the door and walking in. "S-sir..?" He mumbled, he was afraid his hand might get whacked like with Samantha. Venetina finished doing her hair and smiled. "You look so pretty...go show your father ok? He's in his study but knock first."

Bryan opened the door and smiled.
"Hello Keiro, you sure look nice.. Come on in boy, my study is yours." He walked back to the desk and left Keiro to close the door.
Dana smiled and nodded.
"Okay.."She got up and began walking to Bryan's office.

Keiro walked in and closed the door, holding his notebook to his chest. he walked to the front of the desk and flipped to a page that he drew of a bird flying out of it's cage. He held it up and wondered what he thought of it. "I-I saw all the art around and wondered if you liked this..."

Bryan took it and smiled brightly.
"You are very talented, Keiro. It's magnificent." The was a knock on his door and Dana's voice outside.
Dana-
"Father? Can I come in? Mother want me to show you how I looked.." When Bryan said yes she walked in.
Bryan smiled at the sight of her.
"My my Dana.. you are. Very beautiful young girl."

Keiro smiled a bit then looked at Dana. He almost fell over when he did, she was very beautiful as he steadied hiimself. "H-hi D-Dana-chan..." He stuttered, blushing. He looked away and tried to hide his blush.

Dana smiled at both of them and blushed at both of them.
"T-Thank you father..." She bowed a bit. She looked at Keiro. "Hi Lazy-kun.." She walked over. "How do you like it?"
Bryan smiled in approvement.
"Is very nice. Did you pick out the dress?"
Dana smiled and nodded.
"Yes.. mother did my hair."
Bryan laughed.
"I thought so."

Keiro settled his blush a bit and looked at her. "I like it..." he mumbled, taking his notebook back. He looked at Bryan with big green eyes. "W-when is the party...?" he wanted to know so he could get back in his room in time and just stay there, he was too shy.
Venetina walked in and smiled, going to a chair and sitting in it. "In two hours...since your the new heir to being lord after your father then we will choose you a fiancee at the dance tonight so be proper." She smiled, her legs weren't crossed but a bit of metal showed from her dress, the reason she couldn't have babies anymore was because she had lost a leg in a cannibal attacked when Samantha was five years old.

Dana stiffened a bit at the word fiancee and that look that had crossed her face momentairily when Keiro had being talking about how cute Vene was, crossed her face again. Her face when white again and she bowed slightly.
"Well then in that case I'll explore the house a bit more. Maybe then it wont seem so big. Goodbye mother.. goodbye father." After excusing herself she walked out quickly.
Bryan smiled.
"Such a nice child, great manners..."

Keiro clutched the notebook tight, he wondered when he could see that cute cat again and spaced out for a bit before realizing Dana left and looked at the mother. "Whats a fiancee...?"
Venetina looked a bit surprised but chuckled a bit. "It's when your engaged to someone but not married too." She smiled.
Keiro raised a eyebrow. "But I don't want a fiancee..." He mumbled, Venetina gasped in surprise. "It's your father's choice Keiro, he will decide who is your fian-" Keiro stopped her. "I don't want a fiancee!" he covered his mouth, he had never yelled at anyone and it made Venetina rown because he also interrupted her.

Dana just walked blindly throughout the house in till she came back to the garden. She dropped to her knees then pulled them to her chest and hugged them.
"I'm going to loose him after all.. that girl.. she'll be pretty and nice... and he'll probably fall in love with her..." She mumbled. "My Lazy-kun..."
Bryan messaged his temples.
"I know it might be a shock to you, but you'll have a long time to think about it and get to know her. If you don't like her I'll find you someone else.. I dont want you unhappy."

Keiro fiddled with his bow. "B-but..."
"Speak up and don't slouch!" Venetina shot him a look.
Keiro stood up straight. "I'll try..." He sighed, he knew now that Dana was his step-sister he couldn't be in love with her. He looked at the clock before looking back. "Excuse me...I'll be going now..." He mumbled and bowed, walking out and to his room. He didn't want to attend the party at all.
The gardner; Martice, was trimming some bushes when he saw Dana, he walked to her and smiled. "Hey kid, why so sad?" He was a man maybe in his thirties.

Dana looked at him, but then back to the lake.
"All of this is overwhelming. I've never had an enemy in my life but within an hour of being here I have a rival... and the guy I like..." She mumbled this last part. "I cnait like him anymore because of the surrounding circumstances.." She bit her lip. "Not to mention I'm absolutely terrified of large spaces and I now have to live in a large house..."

Martice tilted his head and smiled. "Ah, Madam Samantha I presume...yes...she hates people more beautiful then her..." He set a hand on her head. "Who is the guy you like?" He had good hearing.

Dana hugged her knees closer to her.
"Well.. it's Keiro. We were no where close to related... we were best friends, I think I was his only friend in the whole village... now we're adopted which makes him my step brother..." She let out a long breath. "Not to mention the fact that he's getting that fiancee tonight.."

Martice tapped his chin as he listened. "Ah...well maybe when you go to the party you'll find another boy you like more then keiro..." he stood up. "There are a lot of cute boys you might like so check around at the party ok?" he smiled and walked away to go trim the last bush.
