It felt like she got a bit of a reaction from him. Maybe if she pushed the subject a little bit. "May I ask how long before?"

Paradox sighed to himself. "Longer than I can remember. It was before Llyr, and if you can find a date to that, be my guest." Paradox replies sadly. All the lives that were lost between then and now. pitiful.

"So you don't even know how long you have lived?" She couldn't remember either though, sadly. All she knew was she was young when it happened.

Paradox let out a low chuckle. "Oh. . . I know how long I lived. 31 painful years of ignorant bliss. Since then, I lost Count a long time ago. Not because I forgot, but it became pointless." Paradox said cynically. It was something that could drive any human mad.

He seemed like such a strange one. "Last time I remember counting years, I only got to 16... After that..." The smile she flashed him showed her fangs a little. "I'm sure you can guess why I stopped counting."

"Yes. I can guess." Paradox said simply in response. "At least you didn't try to become immortal like your predecessor." Paradox told her.

"I'm more immortal than I ever would wish to be. And this is an unnatural immortality. I believe only true immortality can be given out by the Gods." She remembered what she did to Ben and flinched a little. "But everything has it's price..."

"That other vampire. The one you wanted to know about. Is virtually indestructable. He can walk in light unscathed, but like you said. . . Everything has it's price." Paradox replied. That coffin had been there for almost and eternity. He was running out of ways in.

'Walk in light?' She was stunned. "Honestly, I'd rather have a way to die." She started to wonder if Paradox was paying for his own existence in some way.

Paradox sighed to himself. It may have seemed amazing to her, just like it did to him, but with great power came great responsibility, which few had. "And you do have a way to die. Embrace the sun. His only possible way to die, was to kill me." Paradox told her.

"What... What do you mean?" Her curiosity turned sour. Paradox was even more of a mystery now. She wanted his explanation of it, even though she could take a guess at the meaning.

The general sat down where he stood. "Exactly what I said. His only possible way to die, to see his soul to hell, was to kill me. Even though he could never do it." The general said calmly as he laid down on the ground, looking up at the ceiling. "Eventually. . . He went completely mad." Paradox said simply. Then Paradox had locked the vampire into that coffin for the rest of eternity. The giant of a man decided to lay there on the ground. It was dark outside.
(going to sleep. We can continue tomorrow.)

((Ok. I can to that.))
She sat down on the floor near him. It sounded like such a sad life to lead. Eventually, she just lay down near the wall and closed her eyes. It wasn't a real sleep, but it was the best someone like her could get. Gabriel didn't feel tired or sore. She couldn't feel cold. The sun burned, she felt human heat, she felt a distorted hunger. That was it. Her thoughts were tormented by the price of true immortality. The kind the day-walker had obtained.

Katherine woke the next morning. She put on a gown of cream colored silk and on a off chance slipped on a small silvery braclet in her things. Her long golden hair fell freely down her back. She headed down into the main hall. She looked around for anyone else before she sat down at table to get some work done.

Moira stretched and yawned. She was a little sore from riding the day before, but she expected nothing less. She had never done that before and it was completely new to her. Instead of leaving her dark hair down, she tied it back in a low ponytail. The dress she chose was a green one. They all looked pretty much the same except for the colour. Along with her mail by the door was a package. The girl had opened it the night before and found some cloth and other sowing materials. Later she would make a new dress. Until then, she made her way down to the main hall. It felt like it was going to be a wonderful day. This time, she brought the letters and her writing materials so she could get out of the room to answer the endless flow of questions. She was very prompt in getting to work with the letters. She didn't even look up to see Katherine already working away at her own business.
