Kyle_Rayner What is with the AG'ers obsession with backlog? Too used to it. Don't find it annoying any more.

Kyle_Rayner Anyway. Question. What is with the AG'ers obsession with backlog? You guys come into a thread (well, two or three of ya) and start responding to posts from hours ago. Thing is, the person who posted it is no longer there, and is most likely not going to backlog enough to find it. And it makes it all weird trying to continue the conversation when somebody is bringing up stuff from the beginning of it. stressed Well, now I'm considering doing it just to spite you... wink blaugh

Actually, since fair numbers of us do it, its a way to communicate with the other members we don't regularly get to see live. I've gone weeks before without being on at the same time as Mala, but I can still joke with her. Also, given that its a funny and intelligent crowd, it mean that not backlogging means that you miss a lot of really good stuff you might not want to miss. Lastly, given that this is a forum and not a chat means that it is to be expected. At least many of us reserve our heavier backlogging commentary for guild threads rather than public threads.

That's a really good way to explain it. I know I personally don't respond to backlog as much as I should, but I do in-fact read it all. whee

Most of the time the backlogged answered isn't answered again.
