Gil nodded "Guess so but still what should I get her, she's obviously not going to care about clothes armour or swords, and I don't normally have to buy presents for other people" he said "Can you order me another drink please?" he asked Satoshi

Oassu frowned "Well yeah I suppose considering the circumstances they couldn't just walk into the forest" he said "It's actually pretty impressive how the ecosystem is fairing considering it was just lifted into the sky and all you'd think it'd have more effect" he said.

Zadina smiled petting Merric more "Thanks Yenytai I'm sure Merric's glad to have someone share his food a bit though it's good you got him so well trained" he said happily. "So shall we discuss the finances Mrs Xyleena?" he asked looking up at the Viera hearing Alpha urge them on.

Satoshi paused making her order to a member of staff the moment they came to the table with the food "More drinks are coming up now, and enjoy the meal, its just pork and noodles really but its nice cause of all the seasonings and stuff" she grinned picking up her chopsticks. "Why not just get Seph something like nice chocolate since she absolutely loves food, especially of the sweet variety" she suggested.

Hayate smirked "That forest has been through a lot of battles so it will take more than that to take it down. Though if you go to the right area then you will find big cracks in the ground around where the land got lifted up. And theres a couple of small hills and a lack of trees there too but not so bad really" he recalled hearing from people.

Felina smiled "The forest will be fine, I just pity the people who are having to hear the trees moaning all day for the next couple of months more at least. Theres a lot of well payed people in Yithra who tend to the forest all your round and any sound is better than the screaming they were doing back then"

Yenytai covered her ears not liking the sound of the whistling "Yenytai no know how why Merric would wanna follow a horrid sound like that" she complained quietly eventually placing her hands down "Yenytai knows not to squish stuff. Yenytai almost got squished once and it was scary"

Xyleena smiled watching curiously what Zadina was doing with the book "Certainly his food is on the top shelf on the wall behund us. It used to be lower down but he kept trying to steal it when not meal time" she informed them pointing to the side wall. "Theres also a few bits and pieces in the cupboard just along from there which you can have seeing as the mother has no interest in them" she added.

Amane turned her head and moved over towards the cupboard but was soon overtaken by Hebal who had already realised it would be too high for Amane to reach "Aww theres some right cute little things in here" Hebal giggled pulling out a tiny brush, a toy carrot and a chicobo sized blanket that was probably thrown over Merric when it got too cold.

Ardie frowned not remembering ever hearing Yenytai complain about whistling before "Aww sorry about that but you won't have to hear it much more once they go off travelling. But because he gets petted and stuff when does as he's told he probably associates the sound with lots of lovely things to make him wanna follow"

Gil smiled seeing as Enkidu hopped up to place his front paws on the desk to see what everyone was eating as his food was brought over "Hush down boy" he said gently pushing Enkidu down before passing his plate and bowl of water down to him "Well yeah but kids are easy to please back then" he said "Just the thought of the dragon festival is fun" he said.

Oassu smiled "Well I suppose I'd be grouchy if I was cemented in the one place for hundreds of years, it's kind of a horrid fate to be conscious that whole time but then again I suppose Trees see it differently" he said.

Zadina nodded "It's probably just a toy that Merric finds fun even if he doesn't need to eat it" he said brightly wondering whether he should pick up Merric for transport "I vaguely remember having a lead for him last time....I don't suppose you have one of those we could use for taking him outside?" he asked Xyleena while Jeckhart reached up to get the sack of little chocobo food.

Satoshi hesitated placing Terrato down in the floor as the second plate appeared for the snake, making sure he was on the opposite side to Enkidu to avoid any stealing "Yeah the dragon festival was always something of great excitement abd every year for the kids theres a contest to see who can come up with the best home made dragon costume. Thats when I originally learned to sew materials, leading to being able to make clothes. And then the day after is my birthday so it was always twice the excitement and fun"

Hayate shrugged "I dunno, a tree in the right location can have a most interesting lifetime when you think of how long they live. Take the trees we're passing now, they've probably seen hundreds of weird and wonderful travellers pass through and fiends being defeated and some will even remember when the demons tried to invade during the wars"

"I suppose so. Trees have very good memories so can be a great source of information. They always listen to conversations as well so not good for privacy. But most of the time they are more bothered about people tripping over theor roots than the fact they can't move them" Felina snickered "Silly plants have no idea just how good they have things"

Yenytai laughed "It's funny how many things play by putting stuff in their mouths and carrying it about. Yenytai rather have ball and unicorn" she stated waving her new toy around the room "Yenytai think Zadina go for red lead" she added looking at the availale colours

Hebal nodded her head approvingly "Yeah good choice of colour, black is a little on the dull side and red is awesome" she remarked moving over to help Jeckhart reach the chicibo food "But nobody is stopping Merric from getting the toy hehe but better be careful he doesn't drop it when your not looking"

Amane giggled throwing the carrot to the chocobo who squaked happily and and jumped up attempting to catch it "There we go he's happy enough see. Now then since we need to keep travelling, perhaps we should put that lead on him and take him for a good walky to the airship"

Xyleena paused briefly inspecting the token "... Yep thats fine thank you Zadina" she answered bending down and petting the chocobo finally with his toy in mouth "Take good care of him, though make sure not to leave him unattended too long for he has a habit of trying to wander off"

Gil chuckled "Hey all the kids can't turn out to be budding fashion designers give them a break if they got a bit of help from their parents I'm sure your folks woulda helped out as well if you needed any plus it's not safe for kids to handle scissors anyway" he said sipping his second drink

Oassu shrugged "Trees have weird perceptions but ok I'm sure it's fine for the trees" he said yawning as he peeked outside "I'd think they'd be ok with wildlife having y'know lived with it forever but hey you guys are the ones that understand them" he said looking out the window again.

Zadina nodded happily kneeling down to attach the lead to Merric before scooping him up for a hug "I promise I'll take great care of this little fellah he's so adorable and nice" he said "Though is there anything else you need to do before we leave Amane?" he said

Satoshi laughed shaking her head "Your joking right, half the kids in the village are throwing knives before the age of eight let alone using scissors by themselves. Though I'm hardly a fashion designer, The fashion industry is too thickle and while people may like the stuff I make now, two years later they might laugh at it"

Hayate shook his head "I don't understant plants and cactuars don't count. They just make irritating noises rather than sense in my ears" he mumbled almost banging his head on the side when the carriage went over a large and unexpected bump that was probably tree roots.

Felina nodded her head with a snicker "Like I said, trees can be so melodramatic though I wouldn't like creepy crawlies living inside me if I were to turn into a tree. But each tree at least is different, some are really polite and will try to have conversations with you. And then theres just all round grumpy ones"

Yenytai nodded "Uhuh Yenytai have lots of happy memories with that rock, for years it was Yenytai's only friend cause all the other nymphs don't like playing. Yenytai named rock Smoothie cause it felt smooth and Yenytai not too good at naming stuff"
