Caradoc jumped at her sudden appearance and turned around. "I-If it's not too much trouble." He told her, standing up strait. He held the cook book out. "I want to make these dumplings, but it just seems so complicated." He said.

"Sorry didn't mean to startle you. i was just cleaning up" She said. She took the book and looked at it
"Mm those are a little deifficult.. but come on i'll show you" she said grinning delighted. She began taking out the ingridents

The boy followed her obediently and watched her carefully as she gathered the ingredients. That part was easy. "No one's helped me cook before, so I don't know if any of the stuff I cook tastes good."

"well if they eat it then i'm sure it does" she said smiling to him, she got out the pots and pans that were needed
"now. It's not so hard to make the food.. the hard part is to get it the right shape" she said to him as she began to show him following the instructions what each thing ment

Caradoc nodded and worked along with her as she explained it. "There was never anyone around to taste it. Mum and Dad were always on trips and Master Trian was too busy to try any of my food." He explained, molding some of the dough.

"I'm sure it tasted good" she said. Then shifted and moved his hands a bit showing him atrick on how to get the dough in just the right ball shape with out making it crack much.
"I leanred cooking thoughmy traning.. so i had to make sure i got it right every time" she said to him. Then showed how the broth was boiling.. and it was now time to add the dough

Caradoc put the feeling of the dough to memory and nodded, adding the dumplings as needed. This consistency seemed to make much more sense. "It'll smell really good, I hope." He said, not seeming to care much about the taste at all.

River still sat in the same place not a sound from her, eyes staring ahead, she was loosing it slowly, though now she looked compleatly healthy, no more pink hairs, Eyes as dark as a black hole, normal. Her skin looked younger and so did her build, stronger, younger, though nothing changed nothing was diffrent she figured she looked normal. Her scars were still hidden, she was not diffrent then why did she feel so diffrent?

Caradoc, "No, I can't." he admitted, "But for some odd reason, I love to cook." he said with a shrug. "It's kinda weird, really. Maybe I just like making people happy." He said as he finished adding the dumplings, "So, how long do these need to cook?"

Caradoc nodded, setting his internal clock to keep track of the next passing minutes. "Thank you, miss." he said sincerely, bowing politely. "This is the farthest I've gotten as far as making food goes... I mean, other than easy stuff like pasta..."

Moving finally River stifled a yawn and walked over to the counter, hopping over it to start to make some coffee. As she pulled out the filter to throw it away she paused, eyes re-scanning at first this didn't look familiar but after a moment of re-thinking it did. Smiling softly at the thought of having a family like people claimed she dropped the filter into the trash and put a new one in, giving it a good scoop of coffee grain before sighing and pushing it in, washing the pot out as she murmured diffrent little things to herself.

"U-Ukaia." Caradoc murmured, setting it to memory. "I'm Caradoc, by the way." he added, then glanced at River. "Good evening! I'm making dumplings! Well... Ukaia and I are making dumplings."
