Billy and Kate started passing paper plates around to Wallace, Teddy and Lois so they could have their fill of the food they had picked up at Blackhawk's; everything from Zinda's spicy wings, to slices of cold pizza, burgers and chips.
"I don't know why we bought all this." Billy joked. "It's great we ran into you guys or else Kate and I would have had to eat it all... and I don't have that big of an appetite. Kate does... but I...ow!"
Billy yelped as his gal pal swatted him on the shoulder, all in good nature. Billy rolled his eyes and distracted himself with a drink of Coke while Kate looked around.
"So what's the latest goings on in the gossip front?"

Teddy powered through a dozen wings and a burger at top speed. It was almost as if he hadn't eaten in three days, when really it was more like only three hours. "Gossip?" he asked around a mouthful of food. "Nah. I don't really ever know what's --"
"Linda and Clark are on a date," Wallace interrupted, eager to share what he'd overheard in the locker room.
Teddy frowned for a second, wondering how Wallace knew before realizing that Wallace had been in the locker and had therefore overheard it all. Shrugging, he went back to his burger and chowed down with relish.

Cassie looked down at the piece of paper, and heard Chris's voice from behind the door,and sighed.
"Chris... It's Cassie.. If you open up your window I'll fly in that way."
With that Cassie flew outside and then flew into Chris's room from the window. She then looked over at him..
"Hey handsome. Miss me?"

YES! What happened? Ten minutes passed a while ago. Karen shows up and breaks in my door to accuse me of staring at her chest at the ballgame! Then she fused my door shut and somehow thought that would trap me in the room. I don't think she realized that I could just follow her out the window.
*Chris looked around.*
I cleaned up for you. I was going to help you come up with a plan to keep Achilles...then I got distracted, That Dox kid always writes these notes about me.
*Chris walked over to Dox's desk.*
I figured I could go in here and find out what he's saying.
*Chris grabbed a drawer, without thinking, to demonstrate.*
Oh crap.
*ZAAAAAAAAAAAP! The same burst of energy blasted Chris across the room and the wall again. And again, he fell on to his bed and bounced off it and to the floor.*

Cassie sighed listening to Chris's ramblings and rolled her eyes.
"Look Chris, I love Achilles but he's going to have to go back and nothing anyone can do can change that. He's a historical figure... the past shouldn't be changed."
Cassie glanced over at Querl's stuff.
"As for Querl, he's a sweet kid. A little weird but nice, he seems to see you almost like... a big brother. But I don't think it's wise to go through his stuff."
Cassie offered Chris a hand off of the floor.

I already have two little brothers. I know how it feels to have those. Dox views me an interesting germ in a petri dish. Definitely not going to touch that desk again though...
*He absently rubbed his hand.*
Anyway, Achilles is the more important subject. I know he has to go back. Even I know pulling a historical figure like Achilles out of time permanently is a bad idea. But listen...I have two other ideas that involve blowing up history.
One, we know Achilles has to go back sometime but why at the end of the year? As we send him back eventually, he still fulfills his destiny. Now I know this has flaws so I came up with a backup plan.
Two, your dad is Zeus. He's in charge of all the Greek stuff. Can't he just pull Achilles out of the afterlife and reincarnate him? I figure he won't do it just because we ask so isn't there so wacky Greek quest we can do to get him out?
*Chris meant well. He really did. Poor, dumb Chris.*

Cassie sighed thinking 'Why am I dating this idiot?!'
" Chris, Achilles' destiny is to die in battle in Troy. That's his 'destiny'. As far as bringing him out of the afterlife or reincarnation goes... bad idea. First off we would have to go to Hades not Zeus about that kinda stuff and Hades and I aren't exactly 'BFFs' if you know what I mean... Second, Achilles would be in the Elysian fields... the equivalent of heaven. He would be happy, he would be rejoined with Pat... And you would want to take that away from him? That would be cruel."
Cassie's tears started again and she tried to wipe them...
" I'm going to miss him is all. Growing up, I didn't know any of my siblings or that I even had siblings. I didn't know my dad and my mom's family rejected me because my mom wasn't married. It was just me and mom, but because of my mom's job she was often busy... so a lot of the times it was just me. I didn't know what it was really like to have a family... I didn't know what it was like to have a big brother, someone to laugh and joke around with, someone to make fun of, someone who's there for me when I was sad, someone who's way tooooo over protective. I... I liked it. I really wish Achilles and I could've grown up together.. but we're from two totally different time periods. And ... even if it was for only one year, I'm happy that I got to know what it feels like to have a brother. "
Messing with time was serious, Cassie knew that. Achilles had to go back, even if it was only to die in Troy.

Teddy heard the change in tone from Lois, and he feared how things may go. Was she interested in Clark or something? Maybe? He shrugged, wondering how to steer the conversation away until--
"Yeah. Clark and Linda," Wallace said, "Why?"

Cassie kissed Chris on the cheek when she heard Dani at Chris's door..
" You won't be able to get in Dani... Apparently Karen fused the door shut for whatever reason... Chris and I will meet you outside."
Cassie went over to the window and looked at Chris...
"Ready?"

"yes, yes, Linda and Clark. Woop-de-freaking do. Who really cares about those two. If they want to make out or whatever it is they do"
she waved a hand absently
"First of all, Clark is so uninteresting. He's just this random farm kid who thinks he can be a reporter as skilled as I am. Hmmph and Linda, well.. she's just.. a girl reporter, not like me you see. I'm THE reporter. I'm the one that saved the teachers and students. Did Linda do that? NO. Did Clark do that? NO. If two "not saving everyone people" want to get together and mash their faces together, then why would I care? Superboy is the hot one. He's the cool one. I'm the founder of the Superboy fan club, so I worry about Superboy, not random, clumsy farm kids who like to "get it on" with girl reporters who don't save people and don't head the Superboy fan club.
So.. not.. interested!"

There was a better way to get this door to open. "Wait Cassie, we don't have to do that. I can open the door with the Witchblade." A massive blade is stabbed through the door and slowly slices its way around the frame, The blade is then retracted, as the door falls forward, Dani is seen giving a wave and a smile. "Hi Chris, I fixed your door. I think you should get a new one though... man Karen really did a number on this sucker." She walks over to Cassie, wondering if she was ok since she seems so upset before. "Hey Cassie, Querl filled me in on the Achilles thing. I'm so sorry about that. If you want to talk about it, I'm always here for you."

"It's fine Dani... from the moment Achilles stepped foot in this time I knew he would have to go back. I just didn't anticipate becoming so attached to him is all."
Cassie glanced off to the side..
