I don't usually train like that, but I just got power items the other day so I'm gonna start. I need to as well, I joined the loir League as a gym leader and I have to go with either Poison or Ice, and Poison is slightly more formidable than Ice.

Not quite how I meant, and I haven't played Platinum in a while either. And besides that, I don't have wi-fi cause security for my comp was put up, and I don't have WPA security on the DSi. I've got to find a way for that.
And I meant pokemon (besides your starter) that you train up from like lv 10 and under to super high levels.

Macho Brace does not raise Speed. It merely accelerates growth on all battles.
Power Anklet raises Speed.
Poison can be evil if done correctly. Just beware of your two weaknesses.
Ice can also be evil (Hail/Blizzard, anyone?) but Stealth Rock becomes a greater concern.

My first team on Diamond. I made it to level 85 with each of them. but I haven't played in a while. then I started another team and got all but... two of them to level seventy something. Training, I think.
Edit: Yeah I know, but I've also got to think about weaknesses, Poison has fewer weaknesses than Ice does, and I'm trying to keep those kinds of things to a minimum. Should a Psychic type arise I have a Crobat with U-turn and Drapion with X-Scissor in wait.

Sorry Mems, I have to go, I thought I was going to be able to contest battle tonight, but I can't. I have to do some stuff, go to be and get up early tomorrow because my brother, his girlfriend and one of their friends want me to go with them to a bunch of places tomorrow.
