Kinda sad right now. I just learned that one of my favorite internet reviewers Noah Antwiler (a.k.a The Spoony One) has parted ways with Channel Awesome, the same people who own Thatguywiththeglasses.com . The reasons could be many, but after searching the internet for awhile, it seems a few reasons could be plausible. One of them was a bit of internet drama with a reviewer on the site where some words where said, and the other reason could just be possibly that Noah just wanted to sever ties to pursue other opportunities without being restrained by site rules.
The whole thing leaves a nasty taste in my mouth however, considering he didn't leave the site without any issues. As I said before there was an issue with another reviewer that obviously didn't like him so she brought up a controversial comment that he made several weeks back to provoke him. The provocation worked and some bad feelings went flying.
Anyways this little news bit of internet culture are for those of you who are familiar with Channel Awesome or The Spoony One. Another possible reason for him leaving is that he was actually diagnosed with severe depression so I hope he gets well soon. I admire and respect Noah, he is one of the few reviewers that doesn't come across as fake to me...I think I pretty much like him cause he reminds me of myself. Cynical, and brutally honest.
