How is everyone doing?
xd Hanging on... this has not been a good week.
razz I'm kind of in a medical insurance Twilight Zone right now. My daughter is on a certain medication and each time our insurance changes we have to go through this special appeal process for it to be covered. And in the meantime we're running out and I don't want there to be a break in her getting it.
to explain: My daughter stopped growing at around 18 months due to a growth hormone deficiency (which was diagnosed after many awful tests). The treatment is daily injections until she is finished growing (at around 15 years old or so..) Now at five years old she has caught up with her peers and seems perfectly normal. But if the injections stop, so with her growth. (the hormone also is needed in the body to help regulate fat metabolism and keep certain organs healthy).
So at the moment we have no income and insurance that will end before Dec. 1st. We'll probably have to pay for ins. out of pocket for a bit and then hopefully get it under an employer again. This of course means at least two changes in our status and two chances the meds might be denied and we'll have to go through the whole appeal process again (like we had to in the beginning). This process can take up to 6 months to get it approved (if they do approve).
Sorry Ken - I know you weren't asking for a whole sob story.
other than the above we're fine
