craftymama Help. Jason got fired this morning. Now what? Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that! *hugs* He should try to get a new one as fast as possible. My boyfriend was in a similar situation few weeks back. Luckily he managed to find a new place really quickly so it didn't cause any major panic in our financial situation.

Sorry to hear about Jason but I'm having problems too. It looks like the store (where I worked full time) is facing another cuts. My boss cut our hours during summer to save those hours for the Christmas season. Now Head Office em'd him saying that the hours he saved... did not exist. As a result, he's going to cut 75 hours (with less than 20 people working in the store). How is that possible?

Sorry to hear that Camwen. Yesterday was a full moon and there was definitely something strange about it. I can still feel whatever it was lingering in the air.

It's the recession. The economy is going to take a dive before going up again and the unemployment is one of the worst consequences of that dive. Next few years will be hard, but I don't think this dive is going to be as deep as it has been in the history before.

I agree with Lilygwen, it's the recession. It's actually affecting some of Canada as well, my husband's company had to lay off some employees too. It's hard, and scary, but it will get better, hopefully sooner than later. I hope all those who have lost work will have good luck replacing it ASAP. sad

I'm sure the economy will repair it self but it might take time. The ups and downs are normal, it's just some times the down is big enough to be noticed.

Yeah... this economy sucks. My dad was just let go a week ago, but he already has four offers for a new job. But still, this up coming week is going to be really tight. confused
