*Chris snagged the ball out of the air and went to tag the cyclops when he noticed the Titans jogging towards the dugout. He looked around in confusion as Bobby Drake dragged Wally towards him. The 'Iceman' smacked both Chris and Wally in the heads.*

Third out! Pay attention!

*Chris and Wally sheepishly headed to the dugout but there would be no rest for them. Wally was hitting leadoff and Powell was batting third.*

Cassie looked at Querl apologetically...

" Sorry about that..."

She hands Querl some napkins so that he could clean up.

" Karen you should totally be more careful."

Cassie watches Wally and Chris on the field and frowns..

"Geez.. What's with those two..?"

Linda had been avoiding most people the whole 'thinking my ex-boyfriend came back from the dead just to find out it wasn't really him but alien guy' thingy was messing with her. Still she sat near the front of the stands of the baseball game, she hadn't really been to involved in the baseball game. Instead letting Lois steal many of the headlines. Honestly, Linda didn't care. She had been accepted to a high school with a prestigious broadcasting program in New York. After this year's graduation ceremony, she would be leaving, she had no reason to stay.

Sure Hero High had a great journalism program but so did the school in New York. Not only that but her best friends at Hero High were Lois and Clark and both of them would be graduating. Maybe if she had a boyfriend or a best friend who would still be at the school she would consider staying, but she didn't. There was a moment when she thought that her and Wally had something... something special. But it didn't seem like he was interested in her much... not anymore anyways.

And why would he be? There were plenty of girls around school who would love to date Wally and he clearly hadn't made up his mind about anyone. Linda wasn't the stand and wait type, she had a life. She hadn't told anyone about her plans yet, though Linda supposed she should at least tell Clark. She sighed watching the baseball game from the front bleachers.

::Clark strolled from the food stand towards the stands. The month since the Skrull invasion had passed by quickly. Lois had been on fire since freeing everyone. She was nailing every story that was coming down the pike. Strangely, Linda West was pulling away.

Clark noticed Querl was here. The young Dox had been spying on Clark for the past month, keeping an eye on all three of the local Kryptonians. Every time Clark approached Querl, the young boy ran. Maybe he worried about more time paradoxes. Rao knew that he would have his hands full with Powell as a roommate.::

Poor, Brainy...

::Clark saw Linda sitting in the stands looking lost. He absently took a bite from his hot dog and sat next to her.::

Mind company?

Linda looked over at Clark and shrugged.

"Not at all... I needed to talk to you anyways."

Linda then bought a soda from a vendor and drank it bit while looking over at Clark.

" I needed to tell you that I won't be attending Hero High next year. I got accepted to a great school in New York and it's a good opportunity. I really enjoyed working with you and Lois but with both of you graduating I just don't see myself having a place at this school. I mean... once I thought I did. But ... well it didn't really work out."

Linda looked down a little slightly depressed but she tried to hide it. She was thinking about Wally but she knew that she stood no chance with him.

"Anyways, I wish both you and Lois all the best... and I hope that when you guys are off at college you'll keep in touch. I'm sure you'll find someone else to keep the paper going after you guys graduate."

Linda didn't really know who... But she smiled towards Clark anyways. Clark had always been a super nice guy to well everyone. But he was too much of a boy scout at times.

The game drilled down to the 8th inning, with the Titans keeping a slight lead over the Mashers. It wasn't too surprising...the Mashers statistically did better during night games, as Wally had become WELL aware of, thanks to Chris drilling him on all the opposing team stats. Coach Rogers stood before the team.

"You boys are making a good effort out there. West, good hustle last inning. Altman, keep a stronger eye on Powell and Wagner out there. The Mashers wouldn't have scored last inning if you'd been in position. I know this is our first game, and we've got some bumps to still iron out, but I want you to treat every inning like D Day out there. All right? Break!"

Wally trotted back out to Centerfield. He gave a wave to what kids remained watching. He sighted Lois Lane down near the opposing team dugout, probably looking to get some quotes for the school paper. Man, she was cute. Ever since the 'Invasion,' when she'd totally saved everyone with her baddass attitude, he'd kind of sort of had a crush on-

"WEST! EYES FRONT!" D'oh! Another dinger from Clawd Wolf was heading right above Wally's head. This one was heading for the bleachers again...much higher than before. It was a good thing their league had some special rules for all of the 'advantaged' kids in it...Wally jumped up on the guard rail and put some speed behind his next jump.

PLOP! The ball landed in his mitt. Awesome! But the bad news...Wally himself was still going with all the momentum he propelled himself forward with.

"Whuh oh..." Wally looked down. He was headed right for Clark Kent's head. Well, that was both good news and bad news...

"Hold onto the ball, hold onto the ball, hold onto-" Wally winced as he prepared for the big crash.

"It's uh, it's okay. I'm Querl. Querl Dox." Querl mumbled to Cassie as they continued watching the game. Interaction with other students; he'd have to get used to it. This wasn't like his homeworld, where he'd been raised pretty much by himself. His only real companion there had been information. It probably made him seem even more alien to all of these backwards historical anachronisms.

"I'm an exchange student."

Querl perked up when he saw Clark Kent join the crowd. There were so many things he wanted to ask Clark...like why Clark called him 'Brainy,' for example, but he was worried about where the answers might lead. So long as he was stuck here a thousand years in the past, he had to try to avoid making any ripples in history. The more impact he had on the timeline, the more difficult he'd make it for himself to eventually get home.

He shook his head and tried to refocus on "base ball" with his new companions.

"That's going to be a "home run," isn't it?" He asked Cassie as Wally started running backwards towards the bleachers to catch the fly ball. "Calculating the trajectory and factoring in wind speed and topspin, it should land...." Querl pointed at Clark Kent's head, just as Wally started falling towards it. "Ah. Yes, right there."

::Clark arched an eyebrow.::

Has Lois been telling everyone she's a secret undercover senior again? Lois is a junior and before you came along, she was in line to be the next editor of the Herald. As outgoing editor, I get to sit down with Ms. Watson and determine who the next editor will be. Ms. Watson feels that despite Lois's years as a reporter, you should get it. You have better management skills, Lois is better as a investigative journalist....let's face it. You have much better people skills that she does.

Plus...I may be hanging around Midvale next year. I-

::CRASH! Wally collided with Clark, Clark's hot dog landed on Linda's chest, and the ball started rolling out of Wally's glove. Clark surreptitiously gave the ball a blast of super breath and it stayed in the speedster's mitt.::

Cassie looked at this kid... he was nice but kind of weird.

"Um yeah... An exchange student huh? So where is it that you came from again?"

Weird green dudes weren't quite Cassie's cup of tea. He was probably an alien but there were many aliens at the school... Karen who was already there for one. There were also Kori and Kara on the cheerleading squad maybe they could help him get settled in. Then again Dani could probably use a new boyfriend... and Querl was kinda cute.

"So... Querl... What type of girls do you like? You know.. tall or short? Brunette or blonde?"

As expected Clark had his objections to Linda leaving.. Still, it was for the best, wasn't it? Before Linda could say anything back, Wally crashed into the two of them and Clark's hot dog ended up in between Linda's boobs in a rather provocative manner. Not only that but Linda's soda spilled all over Wally. She blushed bright red as a result of the incident as she slowly took the wiener dog out from the soft bulges which was her chest. The hot dog felt strange, warm, and a little slimy against her chest. Linda swore that she could even feel the ketchup and mustard that was on it. It felt gross and made Linda wish that she was anywhere else but here right now.

" God. Why do I feel like I'm part of some sick weirdo's terrible fanfic right now..?"

Linda quickly picked up some napkins and turned away from Clark wiping off her chest.. still red with embarrassment.

"Geez that.. completely sucked... I'll get you another hot dog Clark. Besides... me leaving is best for everyone."

"Heh. Food humor." Wally smirked at the two of them, before it suddenly hit him like a lightning bolt.

Linda Park. Clark Kent.

Linda Park was sitting with Clark Kent! Yeah, they were both on the paper staff, but they weren't the ones covering the game, that was Lois! That meant they were....

Wally's eyes got wide.

"WOAH! Sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt your date! Here!" A new hot dog appeared in Linda's hand, and Wally jumped back down onto the field, showing the ball still in his glove.

Querl fidgeted under Cassie's eye. As a 12 year old who was the future alien equivalent of home-schooled, he'd never really thought about, you know, girls. He cleared his throat nervously.

"I'm from Colu. It's about eighty-six parsecs from here. It's....a very LONG exchange. I'm sharing living quarters with the third baseman." Querl waved a hand at Powell. "As for, uh, girls, uh, there's, uh, uh...."

He stammered a bit. It was annoying - if she'd asked him about Whepman's Theory of Infinite Black Hole Folding, he could have given her a six hour lecture. In this, he felt...stupid.

"Aww Cass! He's roomies with Chris! But it sounds like he's not really into girls yet." She said to Cassie then talked to Querl. "Don't worry Querl, The girl thing will come to you when you are ready. But Gee, What's it like Romming with Chris..."

Although she thought of Powell as one of her best friends... She never lived with him. She did move back in with Cassie though. But girls were pretty much the same, they borrowed each other's stuff, had make overs, occasional pillow fight on a bored night... Y'know normal girl stuff.

"BAHHAAHHA!!" Karen Laughed and pointed to what was happening up front with Wally and Clark.

"Did you see that!" She slapped Cassie and Dani's back's in excitement, still laughing and pointing. Clearly she wasn't paying any attention to the conversation the trio was talking about because she was so interesting in the spill between the people in the first row.

"Hot dog!! AHAHAH!! right between the ---!! Ahahahah!!" Karen couldn't help but laugh.

Cassie smiled sweetly... an alien. It figured.

" Oh yeah? Well, you know Karen here's originally from Krypton..."

He then mentioned being Chris's roommate.. So she supposed it was better he knew then not.

"You know Chris is my boyfriend. He's a really great guy... even if he is a little weird at times. But, who doesn't have there quirks?"

Dani then mentioned that Querl may not be into 'girls'... Querl did seem a little shy and awkward about the question.

" Not into girls? I guess he is kinda young..."
