"Oh, that's right... you just ate a bunch of cupcakes." Sakura heads back over to the futon, but feels awkward. She's not good at meeting new people.... "I'm sorry, I don't know what to say or do... I guess I'm just not very exciting."

"Sure." Teri replies. She's not every good at meeting new people and finding a middle ground. She tends to ask too many questions and usually winds up offending people.

So sakura puts something on the tv, and when her food is done, she gets it and eats it.

"Japanese girls... are still very much expected to grow up, get married, have kids, and be at least mostly domesticated. I don't expect I'll ever be married or have kids."

Teri smiles. "Well i won;t either." she says. "And I don't get why you're expected to do all that. It's not fair. You should just stay in North America."

She shrugs, "I'm considering it, although I'm not going to tell them that until I've decided to stay and have the means to do so under my own power."

"Oh for sure." Teri replies. "They'd think you were acting out, or something, if you called them up now and said you weren't coming home. My parents thought I was acting out when I told them I was moving out. They flipped when they found out I would be living with a guy. Little do they know that living with you is 'worse' than living with Billy was." she smiles. "I didn't want Billy. I don't know yet if I want you."

"Well, I think I'll like living with another lesbian, even if we aren't together. At least... we have the same sorts of experiences, and can support each other." If she were as blunt as terry, she might have added that she was fairly interested in the possibility of dating terry, but she's not, so she doesn't/
