Tsurai frowned and sat up. "People can and do change. Everybody makes mistakes. You're being a real hypocrite, you know that? It's just a dumb word."
He stood, brushing a hand through his hair, something he hadn't done in a while. He was debating whether he should go or not.

Isiah nodded, leaning back against the wall of his hovel. "Yeah. I guess I am, Tsurai. But I guess those rules you and I have.. don't apply to Kaegan." He smiled at Tsurai. "You should probably go. I think I'm gonna get some sleep. If you see Connor.. would you send him over for me?"

Tsurai sighed and left, mumbling an "I'm not gonna see him."
The first place Tsurai went was to his own place with Braeden. He put one hand on the wall and leaned against it for a second, as if he were tired, then after a moment, rolled onto the free cot, it squeaking beneath him.
He closed his eyes with a groan. He didn't understand why things weren't so simple.

Braeden joined him shortly, this time with a canteen of water and a piece of the infamous jerky. "Hey, kid. What's the news?"

Tsurai groaned. "I don't know. I think Isiah's gonna fight Kaegan."

"They're both ********' idiots, if you ask me. And Connor is their queen." He said queen with a flourish, wiggling his fingertips before setting himself down on the free cot, taking a bite of the jerky and chewing slowly.

Tsurai groaned, sitting up and unbuttoning his shirt, tossing it to the side of the room. "I'm tired, Braeden," He stated solemnly, turning his back to the man and closing his eyes, trying to sleep.

"No you're not. You're just too 'sensitive' to talk about it. Fine. You can all be sissy bitches." He turned on the cot to lie down on his back, finishing the piece of jerky. "But don't come cryin' to me when you could have done something constructive out of this whole debacle."

Tsurai was sweating. The scras on his back stuck out against the tan adobe like bright yellow on black. The one great white line that laced his spine from stitches-the new one- rippled with each breath the boy took. The other scars, slashes, burns, and stabs, weren't as prevalant as the large ripple over his spine, but nonetheless ugly.
Tsurai knew they were all there, knew what some of them felt like, but never had seen what any of them looked like, and didn't wonder so much about it. If he had known, he might never take his shirt off, because now, with the new addition, he looked like an assimilated Borg, or a manatee that had one too many expierences with the underside of a passing motorboat.
Regardless, the twenty year old put his hands atop his head, rolling on his stomach to muse with his hair. "He won't listen to me. He's being such a hypocrite." Green eyes opened and looked toward Braeden, hands folding under his head. "I don't know what to do."

Braeden folded his hands behind his head similarly, turning his head to face Tsurai. "You know, kid, if Isiah doesn't want to be Alpha, I'd be more than happy to take it for him." He smiled, winking before Tsurai could say what he was going to next. "I know I couldn't beat Kaegan, but I'm sure I could beat Isiah, if I had to." Braeden, oh lord of subtlety. "But Connor didn't want to hear a word of that."

Tsurai sighed. "Everyone knows you're too weak to beat Isiah," he replied.

"Not if he let Kaegan ******** him up real good before he laid him down to bed." Braeden's hands twitched behind his head for want of a cigarette. "But if Isiah becomes Alpha, I imagine I'll get my way in any event. I personally don't think he's man enough to go through with it."

Tsurai turned his back to Braeden, closing his eyes again with another sigh. "I'm sure whatever Isiah does he'll do well. He always does."
His right arm reached around for his shirt, and after finding it, balled it up under his head to use as a pillow. "Go to sleep, Braeden>"

Braeden sighed, rolling over onto his side. "Don't have to tell me twice.." He turned over once more to lay on his stomach, arms hanging over the sides of the cot before falling into easy sleep, fingertips twitching in an unconcious state.

Tsurai fell asleep shortly afterward, while Connor had woken up.
His sleep schedule was wacky, but that didn't stop him from going to Isiah's and knocking on the door frame, er, wall, producing a hollow sound.
"I know you're awake, Isiah," Connor mused.
