knight-kun orks..... the only race where if they look constapated and they happen to be a gretchen... you should be worried... very worried. Helpful? As far as Kommandos, They'd likely get some use from me as a quick Waaagh! force to nuke out enemy tanks with their Nob's Power Klaw.

If I were to field them I'd use burnas, and add snikrot, and come in behind the enemy and wreak havoc, or try my luck and go for rokkits and boom up some tanks from behind. ;3
But otherwise Kommandos are fragile, so they must be used with care, firstly they're few in numbers and they're not really cheap.

Today I just got a IRL look on the new starter orks that our local outrider got his hands on, and I'm really impressed... The models were more awesome than I thought, the warboss for example is HUGE! I really mean it, he's GINORMOUS!
And the Koptas... they're pure LOVE! And it won't be too hard to convert them with other weapons either.
The nobz are so-so, me myself would re-pose the arms on them (atleast the ones stuck on the body), it's not pretty...
I must say that these are perfect for starters of the most proppa army out there. wink
I see alot of converting potentional on the warboss, and alot of looting as well~

Sweet build, but it looks a bit overweight on the dakka kannon side, even if it's a trike it could still tip over.
The GS looks quite out of place, unles syou have plans to file it down or add plasticard to it.
I love the use of the burna fuel cans on the back, it's proppa! wink
Drilling the pipes is something I fully reccomend as well as removing the mold lines.
also a tips for the mask, you could add rivets or bolts to the area where the teef once were, it would make it look less empty.
A ded' 'ard proppa stand in for Wazzie anyways! Keep it up Oryn~

I wish I could make stuff like that, but I lack supplies and a patience with green stuff. One of these days, I'll get the pictures of my Ork army up. Before Apocalypse, my army was the largest of all my friends, at over 4000 points, not including the Gargantuan Squiggoth, (still unpainted....). Now, its nothing really.
Love the model, Oryn.

yep file and drill. other than that kudos.
As for the heavy side, orks like em eavy on one side. after all no ork design makes sense. everything is lopsided. just look at a warboss lol

Shinobi_8745 Sweet build, but it looks a bit overweight on the dakka kannon side, even if it's a trike it could still tip over. It is heavy on the dakkakannon side. I had to re-weight it with lead shot in the green stuff holding the exhaust tubes. If I had been smart, I would have put the shot inside the burna tanks, but I hadn't thought it would be that heavy. He's almost heavy enough to be an honorary pewter mini. Shinobi_8745 The GS looks quite out of place, unles syou have plans to file it down or add plasticard to it. Which part of it looks really off? The lumps for the KMB straps? The slope on the kannon? The box for the dakkagun? All of it? Shinobi_8745 I love the use of the burna fuel cans on the back, it's proppa! wink Yeah, I was stalled for a long time, just having the trike done, but not really sure how to mount the dakkakannon, then I looked at the burna sprue a friend gave me for the heads and because I'm eventually going to convert a biker Mek with a burna. Thinking about how those tanks could go on the back started me building again. Shinobi_8745 Drilling the pipes is something I fully reccomend as well as removing the mold lines. I kind of suck at removing mold lines, but I'm definitely going to drill the barrels on the gunz. I just need to find my pin vice, because the only drill I have right now is a dremel. Not exactly good for fine work. Shinobi_8745 also a tips for the mask, you could add rivets or bolts to the area where the teef once were, it would make it look less empty. Yeah, I wasn't sure what to do with that, since I had to cut it down to get it to fit in the bike. If I had to build him again, I might use a Kommando head to get the mask effect.

About the GS, I mean the "non flat" areas around the dakka kannon mostly.
Removing mold lines is easy, you just use a modelling knife and gently scrape it off, simple as pie. n_n

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen so much dakka on one bike! Good luck painting it!

Ianator Wow. I don't think I've ever seen so much dakka on one bike! Good luck painting it! Heh, thing is, it's WYSIWYG as far as the gunz are concerned. Wazzdakka has a dakkakannon, a kustom megablasta, and his bike follows all the rules for normal warbikes in addition to it's own special rules, so he has twin-linked dakkagunz too.

Very nice, make sure you get those mold lines shaved off, though.

Yey~
I finally got my thumb out my arse to post the release list of January for orks (I think they're all confirmed, and I think I can confirm some as well after I've been to GD UK next month since they were going to show tons of new stuff from there, hopefully I'll get to see the Badrukk and Snikrot minis and a finished battlewagon and/or nobz).
Whats getting released is thus, we knew about most of this, but there were some new faces added to the listing
Boss Zagstruck Boss Snikrot Kaptain Badrukk Gretchin (Plastic) Stormboyz (Plastic) Nobz (Plastic) Battlewagon (Plastic)
I don't know about the prices but the Gretchin box will probably be comprable to the ork box, and the Battle Wagon is probably going to be similar in price to a Land Raider, Nobz and Stormboys would be closer to a box of space marines, the characters would be in line with character and HQ pricing for non-terminator armored (or teh like) models.
I was surprised to see Snikrot and Badrukk up there, though I can't wait to see their new models if they show up at GD!!!

If that's true, then Wazzdakka is going to be the only Ork special character without a model. Frankly, I'd like to see some Flash Gitz before Badrukk and Snikrot. Plastic Gretchin and Nobs are good news though. I wonder if the Deffkoptas are going to get their own box?
