Oh, I was wondering what kind of thumb rest everyone uses. I've seen some huge ones, like my other cousin's. It slips on the thumb rest and is about 2 cm thick. My clarinet did have one that was glued to the metal part of the thumb rest (it was only like 1 mm thick though,) and in 7th grade band camp it started coming off so I just ripped it off and lived without it.

I have a rubber thingy...on mine o_O

when you do need it, tell me =D
I would probably barf if I actually drank that.

I flail my arms when I play.

And you are smart, you just don't think it. Most people tend to notice their mistakes where other people wouldn't. Go to Wal-Mart and buy some self-esteem.

Major scale to concert scale: down two half steps. I don't know about the circle thingy though.

I could use the info whenever.

where'd you get that from? C major scale=concert Bb scale, not C major scale=concert D scale.
...right? This whole music theory/scales thing is killing me.

this happened to me today. Okay, my dad's friend had this Bo staff and a training video, and I thought it would be cool to learn it, so he let me borrow both. Unfortunately, the Staff is 6 feet tall, and the ceiling fan in the living room is only 6.5 feet high. While practicing, I hit myself in the ribs a few times (nothing serious of course), and I think I cracked the light on the ceiling fan. ninja I wish it was a 5 foot staff instead.

now, I shall go and attempt to practice it some more without breaking any fragile glass objects.

I found out that it wasn't me that cracked the light, it's been there. smile

You went a step up instead of down for the scales.

I'm actually practicing my clarinet pretty often. Maybe three times a week now. I've been neglecting my marching band music for figuring out and playing videogame music and other songs I like. the Mario Bros. Main theme is a great song, but I have trouble on this one group of fast eighth notes. The notes go from G to F# to F to Eb to E in the upper register. No, not the really-high-awkward-fingering notes.

I would love to learn how to use any kind of sword. But not that I would carry it or use it very often outside of practice.

Do you play the game or just play the music? If you play the game, do you play any other videogames?

I started freaking out because I didn't see the clarinet section with the rest of them. I thought it was deleted or something (maybe because this thread somehow gets so off topic ninja ) But it was just unstickied for some reason. *sighs of relief*

As you know, I've been trying to figure out some videogame music. These are some really neat songs. (of course I'm not the one that made them.)

This one is the song from the first part of the title screen of the wind waker. (the second part goes with a story.) http://www.mcloz.net/midis/zelda9.mid

This one is sort of a love song in Majora's Mask near the end
when Tatl and Tael reunite right before you go to the moon.

http://gallery.legendofzelda.com/displayimage.php?album=25&pos=104

And this is Zelda's Theme from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask and maybe others.
http://gallery.legendofzelda.com/displayimage.php?album=25&pos=25

And the Song of Time.
http://gallery.legendofzelda.com/displayimage.php?album=25&pos=26

And the song of storms.
http://gallery.legendofzelda.com/displayimage.php?album=25&pos=11

And the Song of Healing.
http://gallery.legendofzelda.com/displayimage.php?album=25&pos=28

And the Owl theme
http://gallery.legendofzelda.com/displayimage.php?album=25&pos=34

Now, of course you don't have to listen to all of them, but these are some of the ones I like. I'll learn to play them. Someday.
