rolleyes Oh, an age-old problem that no one can seem to agree on, even the moderators. From what I've seen said in Q&F by mods and other users alike, there's an un-official rule that signatures can be over on one dimension by up to 10 pixels (so 510 instead of 500.) and on one dimension, my signature was *Gasp* 8 pixels over on one of my pics. Not enough to stretch a screen, and not enough to get my priviledges revoked. Would it have killed the mod to just ask me to reduce the size of my pic and give me a half hour to do it? I ended up getting a bit lippy with her, but this is ridiculous! I can report pornographic signatures and never see the things taken down, but I'm over by 8 pixels and they're on me in a flash?

That really sucks. They should've at least given you a warning first! Some people can be real ego-boost jerks. When will you get your siggy back? Can you take it to another mod in protest?

She responded to my first message lickety split, but this time she's taking quite awhile. If I don't see my siggy back on in about 30 minutes, I'll take it up with someone else. I just can't believe this and it's so stupid! Why not just PM me asking me to change it really quick? I haven't been warned about anything ever before and it wouldn't have been that big of a deal.
EDIT: now she seems to have gotten off-line. 20 minutes and then I take it up with someone else.

Hey... neko, don't suppose you might tell me who it was? As for me... i had to start keeping my nose out of Q&F... every time i go there.. i get into it with one of their forum's resident posters... cuz... i can't stand their uppety attitudes in there.. almost like ED just about.. and to tell the truth.. I think a good many of them happen to frequent both areas and think their opinions rule the earth. rolleyes Glad to see your sig is back tho. and i think it rocks. i bet they are just jealous or something like that. If they get on your case in there... be sure to let me know. I'll come to your rescue! *gets in an anime fight stance* I'll stand up for ya! Those Q*F'ing loudmouths don't scare me!!! That may be where a lot of mods hang out.. but just cuz they're mods don't make them gods or special people... they are just people and users just like us. We all deserve fair and equal treatment... mods or not. 3nodding

I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago...they said my animated siggy was over the limit by .5 and I had to change it. The mod was very rude when I questioned why my sig priviledges were turned off without any kind of notice, request or comment. I was told that they don't do that anymore and that everyone should know the rules and if they don't too bad. It happened to me in the same way it did to you, I had a thread going regarding what I felt was a problem on gaia that wasn't being addressed and this mod decided to have it in for me.
To make it worse, my kids were in my sig and they went after both of them and turned off yami's sig... even when we cut it from 101 to 53 they didn't want to turn it on, finally got our resident member that is also a mod to turn it on, because the mod that turned it off wouldn't respond and 15 minutes later it was off again. We had to pm her and she turned it back on, The next day when we got on and it was off again, she said she'd investigate it and she turned it on again and it has been on since, we never found out who was turning it off over and over, but she said she dealt with it and that is good enough for me.

Uni: Yeah, I think that happened to me too. The mod was rather rude and then got offline without fixing me, so I went to a different one and she turned it back on, no problems. Q&F Is a touchy place to be unpopular because they watch signatures so closely in there. I'm tempted to just turn it off in the future if I have to do anything like this again. stressed

xd I try not to go in too much unless I need info on what's going on.
I'm currently upkeeping a thread about the Sept. 7th item glitch and asking for an update on the progress they're making. So I may be in there quite a bit until we get a response. eek

I've heard they're expensive to run xp !!! Naaa she's not expensive. She trains me so she doesn't have to do all of the work between our collaborative web disasters. We've also been friends for nearly 15 years, so that helps with the low maintenance fees. That and I paid for this last bout of hosting. Two years I believe. She got the two years prior. So in the end it evens out. Now if I could only hunt down my Linux geek. I gotta figure out how this thing works.
