(Ah, alright. For some reason thought it took a turn to charge.) "Flame Burst it again!">"With pleasure."< Raiden then hucked another fireball at the flame monkey. [2/10]
Nope! All moves and how they work are listed in the information center [here]
FLAME BURST = Con type. Beautiful = Special Attack formula, if there are other Pokemon next to their target, they take ⅛ damage without regards for type. The Pokemon sends a splashing burst of fire at their opponent… it’s a messy attack, so some of it hits the surrounding Pokemon in Double or Triple battles.

The expression on the Pansear's face grew very eager. This was more like it! But once again, the Electrike's speed seemed to slow down when he shot flames. He must not have trained much before this! The fire monkey jumped forward to barrel roll over the flames in a dodge!
(Gotcha, thanks.) The Pansear moved quickly out of the way, and Alex's eyes narrowed slightly. "Alright, Raiden, here it comes again. Get ready to dodge it!"
Glad to help! ^^ Editted: Raiden rolled a Critical! +1 to Raiden Defense Rolls! [2/5 turns!]
He had barely evaded but a miss was still a miss in the long run. Shaking his head to try and refocus, he took a couple steps backward. Standing on the balls of his feet, he crouched down slightly bending his knees before pushing off as hard as he could! He was trying to add some extra momentum and power to his punch as he charged to try and hit the Electrike with Focus Punch! But his opponent was proving to be quite speedy this time, as the electric dog ran away faster then expected!
The young man's attempt at avoiding the Gourgeist's warm and "friendly" embrace would fail miserably. An intense force crushed his body, wrapping tighter and tighter. The last thing he'd heard before passing out was a low, dark chuckle...
When Hiro came to, he'd find himself in a place unlike the crater area. The sky was dark and overcast; it appeared to be late at night, but the clouds blocked all but the cold glow of the full moon. If he looked behind him, he'd see a haphazard mess of graves; if he looked in front of him, he'd see what seemed to be endless rows of bright-orange pumpkins. Some were plain, some were carved, and some were lit with candles, but they were the only hint of color in this grey and dreary landscape. They were also intimidatingly huge, many towering over six feet tall. The place was silent but for the low rush of the wind.. and a familiar chuckle.
>I see you've finally woken up.< The Gourgeist floated down, landing in front of Hiro. Strangely, the words the ghost pumpkin spoke would be perfectly intelligible to the trainer. >I saw we were having communications problems, so I decided to... rectify the situation. After all, if you aren't human anymore... ehehehehe.<
Indeed, the most troubling thing about the situation was this: Hiro was a ghost. A washed-out, translucent, see-through ghost. The Gourgeist managed to stop laughing, and remarked, >Now, if you want your body back-- though I don't know WHY you would-- you're going to have to go through my maze.< He motioned to the pumpkin patch behind him-- indeed, upon closer inspection, the pumpkins were actually aligned in strange patterns, and there was only one entrance to be found. >I've put your body in the center of the maze, so that's your goal! Get to the body, and I'll put you back where I found you! If you find your body in time, of course...<
The inappropriately jovial Gourgeist began to float around the young trainer, laughing. >There ARE a couple ground rules, however-- no trying to phase through the walls. There's something... special about these pumpkins that I'm sure you'll just love~< Another fit of giggles, which he managed to get under control. >And no going over the top! I'll be watching you the whole way, so if you cheat, I miiiiiight just retract your prize! Or eat your soul.< He licked his lips, fantasizing. >And think of how lonely your body will be without you... not to mention your Pokemon!< The Gourgeist settled back around, landing next to the maze's entrance. He motioned to the entrance with his hair, inclining his head. >Ready to go? Or perhaps you'd like to stay here with me and the pumpkins... are you ready for your story to be over?<
[EVENT: PEEK-A-BOO'S HAPPY FUN MAZE! You'll proceed through the maze by rolling a D20. Five even-number rolls are required to reach the center. Try to find body before you hit ten rolls!]

Urgh, more acid! Admittedly, at this point, the Numel was more annoyed by the stickiness and strange texture of the poison than its ability to hurt her. Almost involuntarily, the small Pokemon would tuck her head and legs away from the disgusting the liquid. Her dislike of the poison was enough to keep her from attacking properly, and she'd instead try to pull off a Defense Curl instead.

"Oooo..." Like a small, distracted child Alice was fascinated by the purple balloon monster. It had such a nice-sounding voice! And it had cookies! Shouldn't she follow it? For science? And cookies? Eyes lit up brightly, she'd begin to take a step forward...
>Oh no you don't!< Perhaps his trainer had been around creepy adults so long that she didn't have a good sense for when one probably had negative intentions towards her-- an image of Lankford flashed in his mind's eye, and the Honedge shuddered. Regardless of how she'd learned these habits, Vorpal needed to act as her sense of self-preservation. >NO,< he remarked loudly (to the both of them), placing himself between the two of them. He pushed back on Alice, forcing her to stay in place.
Blinking, the robot girl glanced down at her Pokemon. "Vorpal? What's wrong? Is..." Hm... her Honedge was kind of an overprotective oddball, but he did worry about her, and he'd never steered her wrong before. Well, for the most part. She relented, allowing him to push her backwards, settling her feet in place. "Fine, fine," she murmured, shaking her head. She'd have to follow another stranger with candy later. Ignoring the the Drifloon (while Vorpal glared daggers at the death balloon), Alice continued forward, hopping up a stone.

Aww. The green dog had managed to run faster then the Pansear could move, which was pretty shocking. Still in disbelief, the Pansear would instead try to jump over the fire ball heading towards him instead of repeating a barrel roll like last time~

(14-3-1)+(8-7) = 11/2 = 5.5 Rounded up to 6 damage
It seemed the Pansear's change in evasive maneuver would prove unsuccessful. It's fire resistance appeared to be shielding it from some damage, but Raiden's aim seemed to have improved some. "Nice hit! Now watch it's movements closely and dodge."

That had hurt a lot more than it should. Luckily he had fire resistance but even that wasn't enough to save him. Just gotta shake it off. Stay focused. Stay focused. The Pansear weaved left and right before aiming with an uppercut Focus Punch, aiming to hit the Electrike upward into the air!

(14-1-6)+(7-7) = 7 damage Raiden couldn't avoid the hit this time, but a single hit wasn't enough to take him down. Fortunately, he landed on his feet. "Alright, hold on a moment." Pulling out a pokeball, he pressed the button, making it larger, taking aim, and tossing the ball at the Pansear.
Please remember to keep your spoiler up to date! So Raiden's HP would be 7/14.
The Pansear was so focused on the battle, he didn't even see the ball heading towards him! The pokemon was hit squarely in the chest with it and sucked into the flash of red light. The ball hit the ground and shook from side to side frantically. It took a few seconds but the center faded from red to white! Alex had caught his very first pokemon! Since the battle was over, he was free to move forward!

(Got so caught up on the calculations, lol.) He scored a hit, waiting for the pokemon to be trapped inside. After a moment, he'd succeeded. "Yes!" His fist rose victoriously, making his way to pick up his new ally. Both pokemon were now apart of the team, though both were hurt. Probably too late to head back to a center, it was just a matter of moving forward. "Alright, Raiden, have a rest." Firing the beam, it pulled him into his pokeball, and he tossed Pansear's ball out. "You're up!" Being fire type in this area would probably give him an advantage. Some extra supplies would be nice, but he began heading forward regardless. Pansear followed after, somehow still moving fast.
The Heatmor watched as the boy stopped the battle. Was it over already? He had landed a decent attack but.. He watched intently ready to charge at the boy regardless of which direction either forward or backwards. A Guardian wasn't supposed to let things be easy!
