"I'll honour your last wishes, cousin. And then I will kill every last one of these UHV bastards who dare to defile my home yet again. As if ransacking Konohagakure was not enough, setting the Kyuubi free upon the innocents who lived among us. Now they dare to set their plans in motion here." The Jounin whispered to himself as he reached into the chest of his flak jacket and produced a scroll.
"ANBU, you pair, continue to protect the Jinchuuriki, remove his shirt. I'll begin the ritual now!" He called to the pair who had taken off with Kohaku.
Then turning back to face the others he gave a sweeping affirmation concerning the UHV. He remembered the assault on Konoha as clearly as if it had just occurred to him, he had spent so much time ruminating on it's results and all that happened. When he saw James come to enter the fray he knew how things would become. The battlefield just took a severely emotional turn, from his own actions to those of the combatants on the ground, everyone would be inundated with what just happened to the Kazekage.
"They had a chakra shield at Konohagakure, hit them twice in succession. The first attack should lower shields, the second should score directly home. Don't pussyfoot with them, they'll attack you from range and whittle us down with explosives given the chance. Genin, if you're going to remain in the fight, utilize the ANBU to aid you, everyone else, GIVE THEM HELL FOR THE KAZEKAGE!" The normally calm Hatake called out in an impassioned voice to everyone before he made his way back to Kohaku's side.
"Forgive me for what I'm about to do to you, Kohaku, because I'll never forgive myself." Masahiro said, towering over the little child, then leaning down close enough behind the child to swing one hand in and knocked him unconscious, summoning the ritual altar upon which to lay him.
"It's easier for your body and mind if you're not awake for this." He justified to himself as the boy fell limp, then biting his index and middle fingers to draw blood with which he would mix ink.
In the ink and blood the Jounin would begin writing the necessary rank of seals upon the boy's back, between his shoulder blades. Each stroke deliberate and painstaking as the ANBU watched on and set up the rest of the ritual around him to his specifications. As the blood and ink soaked into the body and the Jounin gave an approving eye he sighed, sacrificing half of his active chakra at this moment to begin sealing the Nanabi into the boy's soul, forcing the two into one.
"Hakke no Fuuin Shiki. And now for the second half." He intoned to himself as he laid the lower half of the trigrams, then applied himself to the second.
The ink upon his fingers was renewed and he began to draw the second set of trigrams, the upper half of the seal, centered around a spiral gate pattern. The jounin already looked noticeably worn emotionally, and now as he committed to this act he sealed his fate, and the boy's. Giving another half of his remaining chakra, though bolstered with his Sennin chakra, the jounin then began to pull on the chakra of the Nanabi, as the second half of the altar seal formed underneath it.
With each pull on the chakra, the jounin would begin to look more and more numb, until the ancestral look of distance appeared upon his face and nothing seemed to matter to him except the mission. His eyes drug back and forth between the boy and the beast as he began to pull, the seal flaring to life brighter and brighter with each pull of chakra from beast to man.
"May both of you forgive me, for the hells I've enwrought upon you." He begged silently to himself as the chakra lines of his Sennin moodo faded away and he was left standing between the pair, facilitating the transfer of energies.
His only relief was that one of the ANBU had moved in to stand with him and shield him in this moment of facilitation. He gave a weak smile to the Shinobi behind the mask.
"After this, we kill the UHV." He swore to himself.

After Theodin watched his mother be torn to shreds, his eyes were glowing with rage, he was out for blood. He saw the other hatake begin sealing the seven-tails and spotted the UHV gliders getting closer. Remembering their technology, Theo reached into his pocket and withdrew a piece of paper with a seal on it, he reached down and slapped it onto the wall of the village. “Normality seal is in effect.” He called out just as he felt the sudden chill of James’s ice. With a sinister grin and a low growl, Theo formed a handsign and a clone appeared next to him. The clone twitched it’s fingers and sent a large wave of lightning at the crowd of gliders as they would fall from having their equipment shut down by his seal. The original then pushed raiton chakra down his arm, and pointed towards the group of gliders, firing off blasts of chidori.

Mostly a bystander for the entire battle, Kaolin felt crushed and defeated at his own powerlessness. He clenched his fists so hard while grinding his teeth as a tear fell down for the fallen Kage. This was exactly the kind of situation Kaolin never wanted to feel, ever. There was just nothing he could do as he ran back to the cliffs and watch the ongoing chaos.
The blinding anger and sadness were swept away, for a moment, like the disappearance of the bijuu. Back to his senses now, Kaolin saw the arriving enemy ninja fall from the sky and Theodin sending some blasts of lightning their way. "If they're ninjutsu specialized they can easily block that with their own attack unless...hey ANBU! Do you have something to mess with their movements and stop 'em from doing hand seals for a bit?"
The ANBU beside him nodded and swiftly leaped into action, rushing up near Theodin as he prepared his a quick string of hand seals then he clapped. Suddenly a loud thunderous sound, which could even be seen in the form of jagged lightning reached out for the UHV ninja. While it did no physical damage, it mixed the signals between the brain and body parts. If they tried preparing a counter attack to Theodin's wrath it would be impossible in their current state.

Guild Description: See official description. The thunderous sound reaches out in the form of jagged lightning, doing no damage upon striking, but instead causing the listed effects.

Hoshi watched in horror as her own sister was struck down by the beast. For a moment a sharp pain welled up inside her. Two people now had died from her family within the same time frame. Her own sister who was supposed to protect her and help her learn was now dead because of that god damn monster. Hoshi watched where it had fallen only to see it being sealed into some boy. Anger, pain, and some guild washed over her in a flash. She was useless to stop her sister from dying, useless to stop her own father from dying and now these ******** glider things were coming at them to take more of her home. However, Hoshi knew that she couldn't do anything to help. With the aid of the anbu that had healed her, Hoshi slowly got up to her feet, still having to fight against the wind as it pushed against her. All she could really do was watch as all the other shinobi threw out their attacks. To her it would appear that the gliders had no chance in hell to survive what was being thrown at them.
Nova and Kaori heard Kohaku cry out to them for aid and turned to go to him, but before they could even move they saw a Hatake of high rank knock out the small Genin and then summon an alter. It didn't take them long to figure out what was going on. And they were not happy, though they knew they had no choice in the matter. Kaori wanted to go to her brother, but she was needed against the UHV,
“Nova. We take out the invaders, then look after Kohaku.” Her voice was firm, but Nova could hear and sense the turmoil in her tamer's heart at the tough decision. Nova roared her acknowledgement and flexed her tail in her version of a hand sign, she gathered her chakra and let it condense and form and shape in her chest, where it then lashed out and formed a massive falcon that raced true towards the incoming UHV. The Falcon dipped and weaved in the air, like it had a mind of it's own, avoiding most anything that came at it. Nova followed behind her creation at full tilt, out for blood and more than ready to rend flesh from bone. Kaori flexed her hands and let her claws extend from her fingertips and followed after her partner, right beside the massive feline. They were both furious, and both were ready to spill blood. Kaori gathered her chakra and formed the needed hand signs. Her silver chakra slowly became visible, and once it was visible, it formed into razor sharp petals, thinner than the normal ones she could summon and create, and stronger. She used her hand to direct the petals toward the UHV. The petals were kinda slow, really only about as fast as the average Genin, but the Falcon Nova created helped corral the UHV members as much as possible, and prevented escape. Which is exactly what Kaori wanted, these petals were special, they could cut through chakra steel if need be, so regular armor would be nothing to them. These people would pay for what they had done here.

With a tired groan, Choumei slipped inside of the seal, which closed with a light pop. Kohaku's Chakra would burn for a bit, but the beast would soon settle down inside him and start tending to its wounds. Emotions of pain, loneliness, and confusion bubbled out with the trickle of its Chakra that leaked into its host's. As the Nanabi was sealed, its influence on the surrounding world waned, and the wind storm died out.
The continuous attacks to the Flyers devastated their forces. Their shields bloomed once and then were snuffed out, all except for one, which let off a series of flares before being swallowed by the techniques. Moments later, a continuous hail of thick senbon plummeted out of the sky, inundating the area with sharpened steel rods. The rain would continue without end, necessitating aa strong defense. On the horizon--in the same direction as before--a large shadow appeared, much larger than the Flyers.

Zero moved back over to where kohaku was and picked the boy up carefully. If he was to teach him he would need to be alive. "Im moving this one away from the danger. Theirs a huge force coming in the distance. You can see it from here. Ill keep anyone that comes away from him." He said to those around him and moved from the area.
"I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero. I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!"
"Fall back from the Senbon, the UHV tend to use explosives. Utilize the ANBU, create a phalanx of the Kekkai Houin, layered in Non-Interference and Interference Methods to protect against the Debris and the Chakra Manifestations released from their weaponry should it detonate." The Jounin called out, his eyes then falling back to the two ANBU guarding the boy, making quick hand gestures to them.
The two ANBU in question would take place beside him and both cast the same barriers the Jounin had noted for the others to do, then both drawing weapons and drawing in near the boy to keep an active watch on him. One ANBU watched both directions of the Crevice and neither were more than a half-arms length away from the boy at any one time now.
"They've signaled for backup most likely, we need to prepare for more incoming. Theodin, James. What defenses do we have along the wall that we can use to take more flyers down with relative ease? If we keep a handful of Shinobi doing this we're going to run ourselves out of Chakra. I'll be along the first to run dry after sealing Nanabi." The Hatake said calmly, his eyes darting among the Suna-nin.
"We also need a safe place to secure the Jinchuuriki until this is brought to an end, as well as our wounded." He reasoned out, looking to the girl with the damaged back and potentially ribs, the unconscious boy, and another genin whose state he was unsure of.

"Come on then, with me.." He said as he went by hosi. He scooped her up in one arm and had her back supported for the moment, the jinchuriki sitting over his shoulder so he could carry both without hurting either of them. He was going to try and find a secure place where he could engage people at his own range.

With the gliders decimated, Theodin flew back down to land on the wall by his clone. Hearing Masahiro ask about village defenses. He looked back, “We have these cannons on the walls, though admittedly I’m not sure how they work, Knives made them.” Theo then looked over to James, “You know of anything else we have?” The young jounin looked to his clone, “Take cover and start collecting nature chakra in case we need to get into sage mode fast.” And the clone nodded, hopping down off the wall to sit in its shadow. Theodin looked back out over the desert beyond the village gates, and spotted a shadow looming across the sand, “Their reinforcements are on the way already…and it’s big..” he growled as Knives’s sand wall built up in front of the village. Still raging inside, Theodin tried to take the little rest he could get before the next attack began.

James and his clones rushed up to the back of Knives wall, seeing how far back the armada was and that they would soon arrive, James lay a deadly trap, all four James clones would approch the Wall and lay a hand to it, forming large 10 foot across, steaming craters in the wall. The clones smiled viciously.
"Knives, flip this wall so the holes aim at the armada on my mark!"
James would give the signal as soon as the armada was in range, and the gysers would errupt with massive force and heat, spraying deadly steam. The massive explosions all firing at one time, the damage would be great.

Hoshi had just started to look around again when she suddenly felt herself being lifted up. It appeared that one of the other Suna nin was helping her get away from this place so she was in no place to fight against it. The person helping her was probably a good thing considering she wasn't really paying attention to anything after watching he sister being killed by that damn beast. When she looked around she realized that on the opposite shoulder was the boy that she now deemed responsible for her sister's death. She hated him. Her only close family was now gone because of him. The person that she came to this village for in the first place. Hoshi was excited to get to know her sister and now she would never have the chance.

The rain of senbon would come to an abrupt end as the tsunami of sand rose up and spread over the Village. The air around the group would cool now that it was in the shade, slowly dropping toward a temperature that most foreigners would actually consider "nice". Then came the mortar assault. The sand blew out over several places in the Village, but at almost all of them, the force of the blasts were severely lessened by Knives' defense and the senbon that accompanied the mortars just fell to the ground without causing much damage. Over one nearby locale, though, two mortars landed in quick succession, the first one scattering the barrier, and the second one punching through. Didrika's Kiosk was the first casualty in the war, though it was highly likely that Braith Didrika had fled as soon as the fighting started.
The shadow had arrived now, and was quickly approaching the gate. Initial observations would suggest this was an entire fleet, a significant chunk of the UHV armada come here in response to Choumei's appearance. Keen-eyed observers would notice something like a hundred vehicles, each flanked by a swarm of gliders. On the ground below were several ships that sped along just over the sand, headed toward the crevice on the ground. As they approached, each one fired a small black box toward the defense.
Suddenly, all the Geysers detonated. Any aerial observers would lose ten of the ground-based vehicles in the resulting steam cloud, and it was clear by the panicked movements of several vehicles not caught therein that, even outside of the direct blast, burns were a real threat. After a moment of disarray, those behind the wall would see several head-sized black boxes peek through the defense. A light green energy would arc between the boxes; between them, the sand would fall away, leaving a massive hole in the front of the barrier. Through this hole came a salvo of needles, and those with sharp eyes would notice small, colored glass balls hanging from the tail ends of these spikes.
In all the commotion, the same lizard that had belched out Choumei earlier had slipped inside the Village. This time, when it opened its mouth, it showed Bast's Summoning Seal...

Kaolin need to do something, or at least contribute to the fight more than moral support and shouting commands off to higher ranking ninja when it was most likely uncalled for. He reached for his blade, but drawing it was an impossibility due to the normality seal. He quickly went deeper into the village to escape the seals effects. It was an easy exit from the area thanks to him being by the wall already. During his absence it was obvious to him that the ANBU protecting him would now follow the one white haired superior of his giving orders for barriers.(Exit post)
