"She can defend herself just fine," Mabel snarled and leaned up against the crooked willow's trunk. She crossed her arms and sighed. "How am I better? And would you really understand? I don't think so." She grinned devilishly.

Toby woke up and checked the bandages, they were bloodied, he took them off, but the wounds had stopped bleeding, "whew..." he decided to go see Melody, "Now lets see here... Melody should be at the park" he said to himself as he took his flute and walked downstairs. As soon as he arrived at the park, all he got was stares from from everyone and parents telling their kids to stay away from him and telling them that he was a monster, his ears flattened against his head, I knew I shouldn't have come here... he thought to himself regrettably.

After quite some time of swimming Melody came back out of the water breathing heavily. "You guys swim way too fast." She smiled and laid out her towel on a giant rock, then laid on top of it in the sun.

((You're such a doofus! :B I've always actually wanted to do that... But I didn't ever want to get people mad and confused. xD))
Melody's ears twitched as she heard some strange whispers from the park. A monster? What do they mean by that? Melody stood up, grabbing her towel, and walked up to the park. After she got to a certain point she saw Toby and his ears were down. She frowned and her ears flickered. "Toby! Over here!" She smiled and waved as she jogged over to him, making sure to have everyone notice. Maybe if they saw that she was being nice to him they would think he wasn't so bad. After all, she was well known.

Toby looked up as soon as he heard his name being called and saw Melody, his ears instantly shot up and his mood improved a little, Maybe it wont be as bad as I thought... he thought enthusiastically, "Something you want Melody?" he asked, acting as if he didn't come here just to see her.

Melody smiled as she shook her head. She was going to somewhat lie so she didn't get Toby sad or anything. It wasn't the best thing to tell someone they just heard horrible rumors of them. "Nope! Just saw you so I thought I would come over to investigate. Decide to go for a walk or something?" This made her giggle, thinking of Toby as a dog and being walked.

((I say it gonna turn dark soon... o:< Because I swear it's been light for a very long time. xD ))
Mabel pursed her lips as she stared at James slightly amused. "Have you forgotten that I was a slave as well? I've been beaten and mistreated just as much as you." She turned around and pulled the top part of her dress down, revealing the hideous scars along her back. After a few moments she pulled it back up and turned back around. "I'm just as lonely and beat up as you, meine fruende."
Melody giggled and shrugged her shoulders. "Today has been a very amusing day for me. A very very eventful day. I went shopping with Mabel..." Melody shuttered and wrapped her tail around her leg.
