Rei sat down on one of the squishy chairs and leant forward, trying to see as much as possible through the glass of the observation room. He had only had the chance to see Lee with Drigger once before their lives had been turned upside down by Biovolt.

He wanted to see if Lee had gained even a little bit more control over the years.

Boris watched Rei sadly, knowing what was about to happen to the Chinese teen. And that it was his fault.

Sonia noticed the guilty look ghost over Boris's face and sighed, knowing that she couldn't do anything to stop it. Rei would thank Boris later.

In the meantime. He'd be rather pissed off.

~

THe two Kai's shook their heads and pointed at each other. "He means him." They said in unison, looking innocently at Tala.

Anything to avoid the redhead's wrath.

Fayina's eyes narrowed at Taki. "Stop moving already." She said in a calming tone, completely changing tack. "I need to look at that bandage on your shoulder." She gestured towardthe piece of cloth standing between Taki and bleeding out. "It looks like it needs to be replaced."

Brooklyn walked through the door, dragging Bryan. He looked around at everyone's faces. "What'd we miss?"
PostPosted: Sat Jul 29, 2006 5:51 am

Bryan looked around as well and raised an eyebrow. "Do we actually want to know what we missed?"

Kia smiled. "Of course you do! Taki is now about to get eaten alive by the munchkin because he's a fool and never listens to me," she said cheerily.

Tala looked between the Kai's. "Oh really? So... which one of you am i going to believe?"

Taki stopped and regarded Fayina warily, kind of like a horse. One wrong move and he might bolt.

The soldiers around them watched the procession curiously.
~

Lee frowned and looked down at Drigger's disc. He hadn't even thought about releasing the spirit since the last time. He didn't know if it would even listen to him.

He sighed and closed his eyes. "Well, here goes nothing," he muttered to himself and called forth the sacred spirit in his head.

Drigger's disc started to glow, brighter and brighter until the whole room was filled with light. Ralef, the nurse and the soldiers all had to cover their eyes.

Rei refused to shut his eyes against the glow, trying to see as much of Drigger's power as possible. He felt the beginnings of envy begin to eat away at his stomach.

Drigger should have been given to him. Not to Lee.

Boris leant forward over Rei's chair, squinting to protect his eyes from the light. He tried to remember the feeling of overwhelming power that his brief encounter with Dranzer had instilled.

He felt the same thing- but with much less control. He still couldn't make out the form of Drigger- just the light of the Tiger's power.

~

"Good point." Brooklyn said, standing next to Bryan and wrapping an arm around him. He leant his head on Bryan's shoulder as he watched Fayina's antics.

"Me." Both Kais said simultaneously, continuing to point at each other.

Fayina held up her hands. "Look at it yourself." She said. "It needs to be changed because you insisted on moving."
PostPosted: Sat Jul 29, 2006 6:56 am

Tala tilted his head on the side and grinned. "You know, you're both not very convincing."

Bryan wrapped and arm around Brooklyn. "What are they doing anyway?"

Kia sighed before walking over to Fayina. Bryan raised an eyebrow. "No answer then?"

"Need some help there?" Kia asked Fayina before walking over to Taki. He raised an eyebrow at her.

"You're a real worry sometimes," she said, reaching out to touch Taki's shoulder. Taki watched her hand, puzzled. She pulled it back and looked at it before showing Taki.

His eyes widened and he paled slightly. Her fingers were covered in blood. His blood. He gulped and looked back at Kia, not wanting to look at his shoulder. She just gave him a sad look.

He sat down where he was. Kia smiled and patted his head. "Good boy," then walked back over to the others.

~

The light began to ebb away, leaving a large white tiger standing in the room. The spirit took one look around and let out a deafening roar. Lee just stood and watched it, not sure of what to do next.

Ralef raised an eyebrow in surprise and a few of the soldiers stepped back.

The tiger began to look around it's surroundings.

Rei stared in awe at the tiger. "Is that Drigger?" He asked quietly, not noticing that he was as close to the glass as humanly possible.

"Last time Lee summoned it in front of me Drigger never actually materialised. It was just a bunch of green lightening."

"That's Drigger." Boris replied in an equally awestruck voice, he continued to lean over Rei, his hand transferring from the back of Rei's chair to the Chinese teen's shoulder.

Sonia watched them, amused at how similar they were.

~

"Is he ok?" Kai1 asked Kia, snapping out of the game he and his twin had been playing with Tala. "What's wrong?"

"Guess not." Brooklyn said, his eyes closing as he relaxed against Bryan's frame.

Fayina sighed and began to search for another bandage. "Do you understand now why I told you not to move?" She asked mildly. "When I shot you I was aiming for-" She touched the place just to the left of Taki's wound. "-there. If it had hit there you would have bled out in a matter of minutes. Instead I nicked it- meaning that you'd bleed out in about an hour if no one looked after you."
PostPosted: Sat Jul 29, 2006 8:03 am

Kia nodded slightly. "He's still alive. I think he's just realising his mortality."

She lifted her hand up to look at it. "Plus he get a little queasy when he see's a lot of blood, particularly his. I guess showing him wasn't the best idea, but he'd keep moving around otherwise."

Tala looked over at the two on the ground. "Pff, isn't he supposed to be a soldier? Like professional killer and he doesn't like the sight of blood?"

"You'd be surprised what he does," Kia muttered.

Taki stared off into the distance blankly, not really interested in what Fayina was doing.

"Should have just killed me instead of going through all this trouble," he said.

~

Drigger padded around the room before turning it's head toward the windows that Rei was looking through. He couldn't see anything but he could sense the other teen.

The tiger let out a deep growl, green lightning jumping from the spirit into the air.

Lee gulped and just watched. He never could control the spirit, it did as it liked.

Ralef and the other group gazed in awe at the large beast.

One of the soldiers in the room began to regain his composure. As awe-inspiring as seeing the power of the tiger in the room below him was, it was useless to everyone if it couldn't be controlled.

He reached for a microphone on the wall of the observation room. "Ok... Can you show us some of the capabilities of your... spirit?" He asked uncertainly, not sure what to call Drigger. The tiger wasn't exactly what anyone would call a spirit anymore.

Boris changed his focus from the tiger to Ralef. He frowned when he saw that the old man was still entranced by Drigger. He wondered how long it would take Ralef to reveal why they were actually there.

Rei sat, oblivious to all of this. Instead, he continued to watch Drigger as the tiger explored it's surroundings. His eyes narrowed as he felt another pang of Jealousy. Drigger should have been his.

~

Fayina sighed as she found a bandage. "Why would you want me to have killed you?" She asked, coming back around to Taki's front. She reached for the end of the now dirty bandage Kai had put on the Russian. "This is going to hurt." She warned Taki, looking into his eyes to make sure he'd understand.

Kai1 sighed and changed the subject, not liking the sad look Kia had on her face. "So what's the plan?" He asked, looking at the brunette.

((I really really tried not to post anything! but i'm writing out my english and was in a writing mood - no matter how bad it is xd 746 words.... at this rate i should be able to type my english up within an hour AND keep it under the 1000 word maximum

now where am i? O_o;; … oh right emoism *snicker*))

Kia looked up and over at Kai, being shaken out of her thoughts. She blinked a couple of times.

“Um, eat chicken noodles?” she suggested before shaking her head, “Oh right, you mean the plan plan. Well, we’re advancing on Boris in waves kind of, so that there’s just a kind of wall coming at him but you don’t really care about that part so umm,” she thought for a moment trying to picture where the ‘outsiders’ would be doing, “You’ll just have to worry about not dieing before we can trap Boris and his lot somewhere. Hopefully one of his main labs or the one with Black Dranzer in it, take out his plan in one go. You’ll be near the centre of the group with me ‘cos’ I’m pretty sure Taki isn’t going to let me anywhere near the front. If you guys can handle it, your spirits can be used for defence before we get to Boris and then you can go on the offensive. If we need it.”

She stopped and looked at the group standing around her. “Did that make any sense at all?”

Tala slowly shook his head while Bryan nodded. Bryan narrowed his eyes at the red head before hitting him on the back of the head.

“Ow!” Tala rubbed his head and glared up at Bryan who stared blankly back.

Kia rolled her eyes. “Anyways, if your wondering how we’re going to get around with out being detected we’ve thought of that too. For once, Taki actually used his brain and suggested to knock the power off. He’s not as dumb as he pretends to be, otherwise he wouldn’t be in here.”

Tala snorted.

“There are generators,” Kia continued, “that kick in if the power is turned off, no matter if it’s been cut or turned off at the main switch. It keeps the environment in here suitable to live in – maybe a little colder but bearable – and there’s safety lights on. Not that bright but not pitch black either. Plus, the camera’s are out. Boris relies too much on his camera system and those who control it. So until then, we’re just getting organised. After Fayina has finished with Taki I think we’ll be right to go.”

Taki looked back unnerved. “You know why I think you should have killed me?” he asked quietly. He looked away before answering, “Because if I was dead and wouldn’t have to worry about this since,” he took a deep breath before his next outburst, “I’m a big baby and don’t like pain!”

Kia didn’t even look over her shoulder but sighed and shook her head at the outburst. “Idiot,” she muttered. Tala tried to hold back his snickering. Tried.

Taki looked back at Fayina, “Or blood, so I’ll be looking away now,” he grinned. “Please, continue.”

~

Lee nodded at the instruction, not very confident that he could show them anything. He looked back at the tiger spirit and concentrated on it. He tried to will it to obey him in his mind.

C’mon….

Drigger snapped his head around to regard Lee. He let out a low growl and twitched his tail. Lee stood and gazed back at the beast Difiantly. Drigger watched Lee for a moment more before flicking his eyes around to look at everybody else.

Damn, Lee thought, As powerless as ever.

Drigger let out another growl, the green sparks flying off him increasing. He walked around a bit more before opening his mouth. Sharp teeth and tongue was replaced by white light, as were the spirit’s eyes.

The blonde nurse watched on in worry. She looked over at Ralef and back at the beast. That was one pissed of Kitty, but why was it so angry? It didn’t seem to be paying much attention to the boy in the middle. She walked over to Ralef and tapped his arm.

“Ralef,” she said.

Ralef tore his eyes away from the tiger to look down. “Eh? Yulia, you still here?”

“Ralef, that boy can’t control that spirit, it’s too dangerous like that. If you’re going to take it off him, you may as well do it now.”

Ralef regarded her for a moment before nodding. He turned to the soldiers and gave them a signal.

Yulia nodded before retreating back to the wall. That wouldn’t help the resistance but she didn’t want to get killed by that thing in the meantime. She was only observer anyway.

((!le gasp! Blonde scientist girl has a NAME))

The two soldiers in the observation room saw Ralef's signal and quietly put away the pads they had been holding. They gave each other a look before beginning to move towards Rei.

Rei, however, remained clueless, choosing instead to coming staring out the window at the beast prowling around. He frowned as he noticed Ralef's signal but, not knowing what it meant, continued to watch Drigger cluelessly.

Sonia noticed the guards begin to move and quickly stepped forward to touch Boris's shoulder gently. The purple-haired man looked over his shoulder at her questioningly.

Sonia indicated to the soldiers with her head and pulled Boris's shoulder gently, indicating that he had to step away from Rei.

Boris looked down for a moment before looking back up at the blonde and nodding. He removed his hands from Rei's shoulders and stepped back, nodding to the soldiers. I'm sorry Rei

Rei frowned as Boris's familiar hand was replaced with a much rougher one that quickly gripped his shoulder to the point of pain. He looked up to see the face of one of the scientists that had joined them in the room. "What?" He asked, trying and failing to free his shoulder from the vice-grip.

~

"Can we help you with knocking the power out?" KAi1 asked, bringing Dranzer's disk out and spinning it unthinkingly. "No, I suppose you already have someone on that."

Kai2 put his hand up. "I'm slightly confused." He stated, looking directly at Kia before indicating to the other him. "So's he, he just doesn't want to know what's going on."

"If they're one of your best weapons against Biovolt why are they hiding in the middle of the throng?" Kai2 asked, indicating to Bryan, Brooklyn,Tala and the other Kai.

Fayina rolled her eyes and began to unwind the bandage around Taki's shoulder, ignoring the way that the soaked material was trying to stick together. Taki had been warned.

"This was why I told you not to move." She informed the dark-haired Russian matter-of factly, slowing down as the layers of bandages grew thin.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 12, 2006 8:49 am

Taki yawned. "That's nice," he said absently, looking around the room.

Kia narrowed her eyes slightly, explaing things wasn't something she was used to.

"They may be our best weapons against Biovolt, if you can call them weapons, but that are still an unknown subject. I have no idea what they are completely capable of and how they are likely to act, even if you are the ones controlling them. I don't want you up the front, if they don't do anything, you'll be killed. I don't know they're power and i don't know how those hallways will effect it and i'm certaintly not risking my men with some powerful spirit, that's why your in the middle and are going to wait until we have a clear shot," she said and looked around.

Tala gave a low whistle. "I think you just got told K2."

~

Ralef stood back and folded his arms. As far as he was concerned his work for now was done. As soon as the boy was subdued and the spirit transfered over, he could go back to sleeping under that pile of paper work.

A couple of the soldiers down with Ralef quietly walked up behind Lee. He was oblivious to their presence, still concentrating on Drigger.

They quickly grabbed him roughly by the upper arms. He blinked in surprise before looking up.

"Huh? What? Hey!" Drigger!

The large cat's eyes snapped up to look at his so called 'master'. He watched for a moment and started to advance before changing direction and looking in the direction of Rei. His partner was in distress alright, but he wasn't in this room.

Rei scowled when he wasn't answered by either guard. "Let me go!" He said, trying again to yank his arm free.

The soldier's grip remained firm.

Rei blinked as he tried to process what was going on. Why wasn't Boris helping him? He looked over his shoulder, trying to see his lover but only saw the soldiers bulk behind him.

He felt a similar vice-grip clamp down on his other arm, preventing him from making any move to defend himself. Rei made a choked sound of distress as he was yanked roughly to his feet. He looked once again over his shoulder, this time catching a glimpse of Boris.

From his brief look he saw that Sonia was holding on to Boris in what he assumed was a restraint hold. Otherwise Boris would have stopped the soldiers before they had even thought about assaulting him.

Running with the theory that Sonia was either trying to take over Biovolt or, it occurred to Rei, working for the resistance, Rei redoubled his efforts to escape from the guards grip. As far as he knew, Boris had never had any combat training, meaning that Rei was the only one who would have a chance against the three traitors in the room.

He tried to trip one of the guards while still wriggling his top half to escape from the grip the had on him. Naturally, neither worked, though the moves did irritate the guards enough to hit Rei soundly over the head, stunning him.

Boris forced himself to stand still as he watched Rei slump in the grip of the two soldiers. He had to remember that he was doing this for Rei.

~

Kai2 scowled. "Did not." He said petulantly. He frowned as he realised something. "And since when have I been called K2?" He asked. "I'm Kai. I don't have nicknames."

"Unless, of course, I'm Kai." Kai1 quipped.

"Shut up, K1"

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"I'm going to kick your arse if there's anymore Banana's in Pyjamas jokes?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

Fayina sighed and ripped off the bandage, not caring about the pain it would cause Taki. He was beginning to annoy her with his unrepentant attitude. "Is the bullet still in there?" She asked.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 26, 2006 9:58 pm

((*blinks*.... *goes back and reads*... hmmmm....))

Kia blinked at the pair's antics. She furrowed her eyebrows and tilted her head at them.

"What are 'Banana's in Pjamas'?" she asked. She looked down at the ground thinking before looking up again, "Why on earth would you put bananas in pjamas?"

Tala raised an eyebrow at her, trying to figure out if she was joking or not. He concluded that she was being sincere.

Taki hissed in pain and snapped his head around to give give Fayina a fiery glare. "Geez! Watch what your doing with that will you? And yes the bullet is still in there!" he snapped. he turned to look back at the others, muttering under his breath. He wanted to see how the other's would react to Kia's cluelessness.

~

Lee struggled in the soldier's grasps.

"Let go of me!"

it was useles though, their grip was like iron. One of the soldiers looked over to Ralef, silently asking what was next. They couldn't just hold the struggling chinese boy forever. Ralef nodded at them. THe soldier turned back.

"Sorry, kid," he muttered.

Lee's eyes widened. "Huh? What the-"

He never managed to get another word out. The soldier had removed hi gun and hit Lee on the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. He slumped to the ground, landing with a dull thump.

Drigger stood and watched.

The disc fell out of Lee's hand, his grip had gone slack. It landed on the floor with a clatter and rolled. Drigger's eyes watched it intently. It stopped rolling before the large cut.

He let out a low growl before raising a paw and batting at the metla disc. He gave a louger growl before disappearing into the disc. In a flash he was gone.

Ralef smirked and wandered over to the disc. He looked over at Lee before bending down to pick it up. He examined the disc in his hand with curiosity. It felt warm. A small object like this contained all that power. It should be impossible.

Rei looked up groggily as he was dragged into the lab by the soldiers. He blinked as he saw Ralef was unfazed.

Struggling to think past the massive headache the soldiers had inflicted on him, Rei noticed that Ralef wasn't fazed at all. If he had been able to think clearly this would have struck him as odd. Ralef may have been slightly insane and cranky but he was loyal to Boris above all others.

As it was, Rei simply shut his eyes again, finding it too difficult to keep them open. He allowed himself to fall into the pit of darkness the soldiers had opened for him, his full weight surprising the soldier's as he finally slipped into unconsciousness.

The first soldier unloaded Rei on to his partner before looking at Ralef. "What do you want us to do with them?" He asked.

~

The two Kais looked at each other- trying to think of a way to explain the Banana's in Pyjamas. They weren't really something that could be explained unless first-hand experience was had.

"Never mind." They said at the same time. "It's not important."

Fayina sighed. "I told you it would hurt." She said, irritated. "We need to get that bullet out- every second it's in there it's causing more damage to your nerves."

She surveyed the bloody wound with a critical eye. "Though- it's going to be hard without and medical equipment." She looked up and noticed Taki's lack of attention. "Could we spare a moment to consider your fate here?" She asked snappishly.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 05, 2006 5:12 am

Kia nodded slowly and smiled slightly. "Right then," Just nod and smile, nod and smile, "Now that that's out of the way, we should probably get back to business."

She looked around the room. "I think we're almost ready," she looked back at the boys, "How are you guys feeling?"

Taki rolled his eyes before turning slowly to face Fayina. "Sorry," he said, "What are we considering about it?"

He took a deep breath before forcing himself to look at his wound. He made a face before looking back at the girl before shaking his head.

"We need to leave the bullet in there. It's not going to damage anymore nerves than it already has done. Removing it now will just make it worse."

He lazily poked his left arm. "Besides, i think i've already lost the use of this thing. It's not comming back any time soon, so the bullet won't damage anymore. What we need to do is to get a clean bandage back on it so there is continual pressure on the wound." He glanced at his shoulder again, noticing the blood flow had slowly started up again.

"We need the blood to clot to prevent anymore blood loss. It was doing that until you ripped that bandage off. Removing the bullet at this time without the right equipment or knowledge is just going to make it bleed even more and that's bad. I'll survive with it in there until this whole thing is over. It can't damage anymore. Blood loss on the other hand," he trailed off after that.

He looked back at Kia's group before adding absently, "Didn't they teach that to you here in some course or other?"

~

Ralef looked up from the shining disc in his hand. He regarded the soldiers for a moment before looking at the two chinese boys.

"That one," he said motioning to Lee, "I don't care what you do with him. I don't think he is of any use to us, but Rei," he looked at Rei, "We need to keep him with us and the bit beast. I'm sure Borise will want him put somewhere so we can... introduce him to this object."

The soldiers surrounding Lee had proceeded to pick the unconscious boy up after hearing Ralef and began to half carry half drag him out of the room.

Boris looked down at the lab with what he hoped was an impassive face. He sighed and turned to Sonia. "Can you look after this for me?" He asked. "I have to go and... so anything else."

Sonia smiled tightly, understanding. "Of course." She said quietly, letting Boris out of her death-grip on his arm. "I'll stay here and make sure everything goes to plan."

Boris bit his lip and nodded before walking towards the door leading to the staircase.

"You did the right thing." Sonia murmured just before the door shut on Boris.

The blonde turned back to the glass wall and folded her arms, interested despite herself.

~

"Hungry." Brooklyn said very seriously. "We haven't eaten since... actually I can't remember the last time we ate."

Both Kais rolled their eyes. "You just killed the mood." Kai1 complained. "Kia was really serious that time."

"I'm really serious about being hungry."

"When did you become pessimistic?" Fayina asked, holding the old bandage against the wound while she searched for the new bandage she had placed on the ground.

"I must have taken a different course to you." She explained simply. "Besides, there was no way I could have removed that bandage without the blood clot. You bled too much."
